Success Stories
Running Hitachi on Oracle
Client Cloud ERP Implementation
Scope: Oracle Cloud ERP Financials (R7)
Modules included:
• General Ledger
• Multi-currency
• Account Payables
• Accounts Receivable
Locations (Phase 1 only):
• North America
• Europe
Custom/ Report Development:
• EFT
• Custom Checks
• Custom Invoices
• Custom Credit Memos
• Custom Balance Sheet
Solution:
Hitachi Consulting leveraged its Rapid Implementation Methodology to complete the project in 13 weeks. Hitachi was able to successfully implement the solution Cloud ERP by:
 Chart of Accounts (COA) design completed and signed off in 2 days
 Design, build, test efforts were completed in parallel
 Met with Oracle Fusion Success Manager and Product development prior to project start
 Started production instance setup prior to project start
 Blend of onsite and offshore team working in tandem
Business Benefits Realized:
 Scalability to support the growing company
 Ability to account for Joint Venture transactions for Corporate and Board –level reporting
Company:
World leader in software and hardware technologies in the consumer products industry. Client was using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP system
to execute its finance and accounting transactions. Much of the data entry was done in Excel and then hand-keyed, which was not scalable.
Implementing the Cloud Financials has set the stage for migrating the remainder of its core business processes including procurement, inventory, order
entry, and external reporting.
Hitachi’s Cloud Assessment
- Review existing Oracle on premise applications and
map to Oracle Cloud Functionality
- Quantify Oracle Customer 2 Cloud ROI
- Develop Business Case
- Cloud readiness review
- Roadmap development
