Some companies have finally been hit
hard by the police, recently the police
closed the four companies who dump
waste disposal into the citarum river.
Their actions must have been included
into the environmental crime, which
relates to the fact that this incident
could have been prevented and the act
of not preventing the pollution is
categorized as a malicious act.

CONCLUSION
Sustainable development does have various aspects
including the economy and the environment. These two
things sometimes support each other sometimes
contradict each other. Go back to the theory of
sustainable development, where development must pay
attention to the rights of future generations. In the case
of the citarum river, there is an imbalance between
economic development through industry and the
availability of clean water. It has been described above
how the river citarum itself plays an important role in
the life of the surrounding community. But, in the
implementation of too many deviations because the
government may be more concerned with economic
growth of the industry.

RECOMMENDATION
In the case of the citarum river, there should be an
effort to balance economic growth with the
sustainability of its own environment, especially the
availability of clean water. In theory, there are already
many laws governing how an industry should act in
treating their waste. in fact, back to law enforcement
is still low so this incident seemed endless. The best
and most realistic recommendations are increased
law enforcement and special supervisors for industrial
business actors in the area.
