The document discusses impact reporting and how to make annual reports effective for organizations. It defines impact as the difference an organization makes and how the world would look without the organization. Impact can be both positive and negative, planned or unplanned, and affect various stakeholder groups. When reporting impact, organizations should consider their purpose, involve stakeholders, use proportionate methods, consider both qualitative and quantitative data, and be transparent. The annual report is one way to communicate impact information to critical audiences, and the information provided should be relevant, reliable, and help those audiences make decisions.
What is asked of UX and Dev to create Digital Accessibility is what most people needs under different circumstances! We don't need to re-invent the wheel! We just need to consider Journey Maps for exceptional scenarios and states, such as error states, or abused states! Consider all the frictions that we each experience during our life and how they effect our performance. If we can design for such exceptions, we will deliver a product that is usable by all of users.
In July 2013, Innovation Network's Kat Athanasiades and Veena Pankaj presented "Evaluation: Finding a Common Ground" at the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The purpose of this session was to highlight the common threads that distinguish regional associations from other organizational genres in the social sector. Regional associations promote effectiveness in philanthropy by providing grantmakers with opportunities to engage with others, share ideas, and generate best practices that support both the individual and collective impact of philanthropy. While each regional association employs its own unique mix of strategies to achieve impact, most are working towards a shared goal of promoting effectiveness within philanthropy. In this session, Innovation Network engaged participants in a group dialogue to draw out high level strategies and desired outcomes that are common across most regional associations. The resulting logic model is a tool that regional associations can use as a starting point when planning for evaluation.
Innovation Network is a nonprofit evaluation, research, and consulting firm. We provide knowledge and expertise to help nonprofits and funders learn from their work to improve their results. For more information, please visit www.innonet.org.
The transition to Universal Credit and the introduction of a lower benefit cap will become a reality for thousands of people this Autumn.
For the first time, Policy in Practice has modelled how welfare reform is affecting cities, towns and London Boroughs differently to create a national picture.
Using household-level data from different local authorities we’ve modelled the likely impact of continued deployment of welfare reforms on towns and cities that aren’t yet significantly affected.
By analysing the impact of Universal Credit on different types of councils we can predict how similar local authorities are likely to be hit.
Some areas in the UK will see a major impact almost overnight as a result of welfare reforms.
Listen to this webinar to learn:
1. How your local authority peers are impacted by welfare reforms (by council type)
2. What impact the lower benefit cap, Universal Credit and housing reforms will have (by council type)
3. How households in your local area are likely to be affected
Gender diversity in tech is a broken system. There is no magic to fix it. The good news is that, the more you try different approaches, the more you learn and the better you get at it.

Social impact measurement is an emerging practice that attempts to capture this change. Why is this of relevance to cultural organisations? Where do we start?
