• Naturalization is the process of gaining
citizenship in a country you were not living in
at the time of birth.
• They must be a resident of the country for a
minimum period of time.
• They must uphold that country’s laws
3. Homeland
In Indian time Mayans and Aztecs lived in peace on both sides of the
current American border but conquistadors and English conquerors
came and took their land and killed them for fun
4. Xenophobia
Xenophobia is the fear of foreigners. This picture shows that the US
border control thinks that being another race is a disease.
5. Green Card/Visa
• A green card is a visa which allows a foreigner
to come to a country to work for a certain
time.
• A green card can be a step in naturalization.
• You have to get a green card before you can
gain citizenship in the US.

immigration effects the demographic and
economic aspects of the US.
