The Immigrant Podcast (formerly The Alien Chronicles) is a minority women-owned & run weekly podcast that features immigrants from all different walks of life to share their immigrant experiences. Immigrant deconstructs the archaic stereotypes of what it means to be an immigrant, a child of immigrants, a person of color and everything in between. Each episode brings a fresh perspective on the issues we address. Our conversations are complex, challenging, and oftentimes messy. But I wouldn’t trade the messiness for anything, because what we have created instead is a new, ongoing dialogue full of rich nuances.

When interviewed, Dupree recounted some of the rendition's lyrics which referenced getting a gun due to having nothing else to do, and shooting in the dark.

Chief Cornstalk's death led the Indians he was with to leave and head for Fort Donnally. Two men dressed as Indians to warn the fort of the approaching Indians. The settlers at Fort Donnally gathered at Colonel Donnally's house with 80 defenders and 60 women and children. When the Indians attacked, two guards blocked the door until Captain Arbuckle arrived with soldiers. Chief Cornstalk's death appeared to spark further conflict between settlers and Indians.
The Role of Women in the Civil War
Women played a variety of important roles during the Civil War beyond traditional expectations. Some served as nurses caring for wounded soldiers, helping to lighten their spirits. Others acted as spies, using their gender to avoid suspicion in gathering intelligence for both sides. With many men away, women had to take on new roles maintaining the home front through jobs, caring for families, and supporting the war effort. A few even disguised themselves as men to serve as soldiers. African American women additionally faced the challenges of slavery, but some were eventually able to enlist and contribute to the Union cause. Overall, the document outlines that women from all backgrounds significantly supported the war in numerous capacities beyond typical gender roles of the time.

He worked as a surgeon and owned a public magazine, providing medical services during wars by performing surgeries on injured soldiers. George was married to Sarah Garland and had two stepchildren and six children of his own. As a slave owner, he supplemented his income by selling slaves. He maintained relationships with Benjamin Walker, John Enby Tazewell, and Haldenby Dixon and demonstrated loyalty to England by fighting in wars and aiding soldiers, as well as through slave ownership which provided financial stability.

Dorothea Lange and the Migrant Mother
During the 1930s Dust Bowl era, severe drought and farming practices led to massive dust storms that destroyed crops and left many homeless. Dorothea Lange was hired by the Resettlement Administration to document the plight of migrant workers. In 1936, she photographed a pregnant mother of 7 children in a California pea picker's camp, creating her iconic image "Migrant Mother" that came to represent the hardships of the Great Depression. While the photo drew attention to their struggles, it was taken without the subject's consent and she received no direct benefits, though it made Lange a renowned documentary photographer.

2) Italian immigrants faced discrimination and pressure to abandon their culture and identity to assimilate. They often lived in insular immigrant communities and maintained their language and traditions.
3) Pascal D'Angelo was an Italian immigrant laborer who taught himself to read and write English and became a writer, publishing poems and a memoir. He rejected both full assimilation into American culture and the peasant belief in destiny, choosing to express himself as an outsider through his art.

This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. Temple of Asclepius in Thrace. Excavation results
The temple and the sanctuary around were dedicated to Asklepios Zmidrenus. This name has been known since 1875 when an inscription dedicated to him was discovered in Rome. The inscription is dated in 227 AD and was left by soldiers originating from the city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv).
