If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you
conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will
remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allah , with what
you do, is [fully] Acquainted.
Surat ul Baqara (2) Verse (271)

Not upon you, [O Muhammad], is [responsibility for] their guidance, but Allah guides
whom He wills. And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do
not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah . And whatever you spend of good - it
will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
Surat ul Baqara (2) Verse (272)

4. They ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs/
Necessity].“Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that
you might give thought.

5. Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said:
Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then
for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything
being diminished from the reward of the fasting person.

6. Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari:
The Prophet ‫ﷺ‬
) ) said, "Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and
release (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom).

7. those who, for the love of Allah, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the
captive (saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you
any recompense or thanks.

8. O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may
be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better
than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive]
nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does
not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

9. O you who have believed, avoid much [negative]
assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not
spy each other.

10. Do not backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh
of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ;

20. Narrated Abu Salma bin `Abdur Rahman:
I asked `Aisha, "How is the prayer of Allah's Messenger ( ‫ﷺ‬
) during the
month of Ramadan." She said, "Allah's Messenger ( ‫ﷺ‬
) never exceeded
eleven rak`at in Ramadan or in other months; he used to offer four rak`at--
do not ask me about their beauty and length, then four rak`at, do not ask
me about their beauty and length, and then three rak`at." Aisha further said,
"I said, 'O Allah's Messenger ( ‫ﷺ‬
!) Do you sleep before offering the witr
prayer?' He replied, 'O `Aisha! My eyes sleep but my heart remains awake’!”

21. Narrated Sahl:
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan,
and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of
Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be
said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up,
and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the
gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it.“

29. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: Religion is sincerity, religion is sincerity (Al-Nasihah),
religion is sincerity. They said; To whom, O Messenger of Allah? He said: To Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the
imams of the Muslims and to their common folk/ General Muslims.

30. Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( ‫وسلم‬ ‫عليہ‬ ‫ہللا‬ ‫صلی‬
) as
saying: Every (good) deed of the son of Adam would be multiplied, a good deed receiving a
tenfold to seven hundredfold reward. Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, has said: With the
exception of fasting, for it is done for Me and I will give a reward for it, for one abandons his
passion and food for My sake. There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts, joy when
he breaks it, and joy when he meets his Lord, and the breath (of an observer of fast) is
sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.

34. Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba:
The Prophet ( ‫ﷺ‬
) said, "Allah has forbidden for you, (1) to be undutiful to your
mothers, (2) to bury your daughters alive, (3) to not to pay the rights of the
others (e.g. charity, etc.) and (4) to beg of men (begging). And Allah has hated
for you (1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others, (2) to ask
too many questions, (in disputed religious matters) and (3) to waste the
wealth (by extravagance).

38. It was narrated from Salim bin 'Abdullah that his father said: The Messenger of
Allah ‫ﷺ‬
) ) said: There are three at whom Allah will not look on the Day of
Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men
in her outward appearance, and the cuckold. And there are three who will not
enter Paradise: The one who disobeys his parents, the drunkard, and the one
who reminds people of what he has given them. ‘

• Narrated `Abdullah: The Prophet drew a square and then drew a line in the middle of it
and let it extend outside the square and then drew several small lines attached to that
central line, and said, This is the human being, and this, (the square) in his lease of life,
encircles him from all sides (or has encircled him), and this (line), which is outside (the
square), is his hope, and these small lines are the calamities and troubles (which may
befall him), and if one misses him, an-other will snap (i.e. overtake) him, and if the other
misses him, a third will snap (i.e. overtake) him. ٰ

Allah's Messenger ( ‫ﷺ‬
) said, "Someone came to me from my Lord
and gave me the news (or good tidings) that if any of my followers
dies worshipping none (in any way) along with Allah, he will enter
Paradise." I asked, "Even if he committed illegal sexual intercourse
(adultery) and theft?" He replied, "Even if he committed illegal
sexual intercourse (adultery) and theft."

a Muslim's honour, Allah will give him a like amount of Jahannam to eat; if anyone clothes
himself with a garment at the cost of a Muslim's honour, Allah will clothe him with like
amount of Jahannam; and if anyone puts himself in a position of reputation and show Allah
will disgrace him with a place of reputation and show on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: I heard the Messenger of Allah ‫صلی‬
‫ہللا‬
‫عليہ‬
‫وسلم‬ say: There were two men among Banu
Isra'il, who were striving for the same goal. One of them would commit sin and the other would strive to do
his best in the world. The man who exerted himself in worship continued to see the other in sin. He would say:
Refrain from it. One day he found him in sin and said to him: Refrain from it. He said: Leave me alone with my
Lord. Have you been sent as a watchman over me? He said: I swear by Allah, Allah will not forgive you, nor will
he admit you to Paradise. Then their souls were taken back (by Allah), and they met together with the Lord of
the worlds. He (Allah) said to this man who had striven hard in worship; Had you knowledge about Me or had
you power over that which I had in My hand? He said to the man who sinned: Go and enter Paradise by My
mercy. He said about the other: Take him to Hell. Abu Hurairah said: By Him in Whose hand my soul is, he
spoke a word by which this world and the next world of his were destroyed.

64. Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ‫وسلم‬ ‫عليہ‬ ‫ہللا‬ ‫صلی‬said: Avoid envy, for envy
devours good deeds just as fire devours fuel or (he said) grass.

65. Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet ‫وسلم‬ ‫عليہ‬ ‫ہللا‬ ‫صلی‬said: Shall I not inform you
of something more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and almsgiving
(sadaqah)? The people replied: Yes, Prophet of Allah! He said: It is putting
things right between people, spoiling them is the shaver (destructive).
