The document discusses several ways to seek barakah (blessing) from Allah based on Quranic verses and hadiths. It mentions obeying Allah and His messenger through acts like istighfar (seeking forgiveness) and tawba (repentance). It also discusses upholding kinship ties, being grateful to Allah, following Islamic etiquette like saying Bismillah before eating, protecting oneself through recommended dhikr and dua, giving charity, performing Hajj and Umrah frequently, and giving thanks to Allah. The overall message is that adhering to Islamic principles and commands increases Allah's blessings.
2. Sura Ar Rahman
Al barakatu al khairul katheer
Barakah min Allah
Sura Ar Rahman
Barakah - khair, nama, ziyadah
Prophet PBUH said - Barakah is from Allah
SWT
3. ONE: Obeying Allah, His Messenger
PBUH, Istighfaar, Tawba
Sura A’raf 96
And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings
from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning."
4. ONE: Obeying Allah, His Messenger
PBUH,Istighfaar, Tawba
Sura Nuh 10-13
And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.
He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers
And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.
What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur
5. ONE: Obeying Allah, His Messenger
PBUH,Istighfaar, Tawba
Sura Hud 52
And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in
showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals."
6. TWO: Upholding the ties of kinship
Al-Bukhaari (2067) and Muslim (2557) narrated from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allah be
pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon
him) said: “Whoever would like his rizq (provision) to be increased and his life to be
extended, should uphold the ties of kinship.”
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“his rizq (provision) to be increased” means to be expanded and made abundant or, it
was said, to be blessed (barakah). End quote.
7. THREE: Giving thanks to Allah
Sura Ibrahim 7
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if
you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "
Barakah may be sought by giving thanks to Allah, may He be exalted, for His blessings. Allah,
may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
8. FOUR: Following Islamic etiquette
Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard Messenger of Allah ( ﷺ
) saying, "If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Satan
says, addressing his followers: 'You will find no where to spend the night and no dinner.' But if he enters without
mentioning the Name of Allah, Satan says (to his followers); 'You have found (a place) to spend the night in, and if he
does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Satan says: 'You have found (a place) to spend the night in as
well as food.”’ [Muslim].
Following Islamic etiquette when using any of these blessings, such as saying Bismillah ir-Rahmaan ir-Raheem
(in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) when eating, drinking, entering the house, and so
on.

9. FIVE: Protecting oneself by means of the
du‘aa’s and dhikrs narrated in the Sunnah.
The Muslim should regularly recite the adhkaar for the morning and the evening,
the adhkaar before going to sleep, and all kinds of adhkaar as prescribed in
Islamic teachings.
One of the most beneficial books for learning the adhkaar and du‘aa’s prescribed
in the Sunnah, by means of which the Muslim may protect himself, his family and
his wealth, is Husn al-Muslim min Adhkaar al-Kitaab wa’s-Sunnah by Shaykh
Sa‘eed ibn ‘Ali ibn Wahb al-Qahtaani. [Available in English under the title Fortress
of the Muslim: Invocations from the Qur'an & Sunnah].
10. FIVE: Protecting oneself by means of the
du‘aa’s and dhikrs narrated in the Sunnah.
Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ( ﷺ
) made many supplications which we did not memorize. We said to him: "O
Messenger of Allah! You have made many supplications of which we do not remember anything." He said,
"Shall I tell you a comprehensive prayer? Say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min khairi ma sa'alaka minhu
nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Wa 'a'udhu bika min sharri mas-ta'adha minhu
nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Wa Antal-Musta'anu, wa 'alaikal-balaghu, wa la hawla
wa la quwwata illa billah (O Allah, I beg to You the good which Your Prophet Muhammad ( ﷺ
) begged of You;
and I seek refuge in You from the evil where from Your Prophet Muhammad ( ﷺ
) sought refuge. You are the
One from Whom help is sought and Your is the responsibility to communicate (the truth). There is no power
or strength except with Allah the Exalted, the Great.”’ [At- Tirmidhi]
12. Giving a great deal of charity
·Giving a great deal of charity
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say: Truly, my Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and (also) restricts (it) for him, and
whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah’s Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers”
[Saba’ 34:39].
Muslim (2588) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Charity does not decrease wealth.”
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
They (the scholars) mentioned two meanings of this hadeeth, one of which is that (the wealth) will be blessed
(as a result of giving charity) and harm will be warded off from it, so the apparent decrease will be
compensated for by means of hidden blessing (barakah). This is something that is well known from experience.
The second is that even if it appears to be decreased outwardly, there will be compensation for that in the
reward that results from it, and it will be increased manifold. End quote.
13. Performing Hajj and ‘Umrah often
·Performing Hajj and ‘Umrah often, following one with the other
At-Tirmidhi (810) narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood said: The Messenger of Allah (sa) said:
“Make the Hajj and ‘Umrah follow each other closely, for they remove poverty and sins as the
bellows removes the dross of iron, gold and silver, and an accepted Hajj brings no less a
reward than Paradise.”. It was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.
14. Du‘aa’ (supplication)
·Du‘aa’ (supplication)
It was narrated by Ibn Maajah (925) from Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say, when he said the salaam at the end of
Fajr prayer: “Allaahumma inni as’aluka rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘ilman naafi’an, wa ‘amalan
mutaqabbalan (O Allaah, I ask you for good (halaal) provision, beneficial knowledge and
accepted good deeds).”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.

We get only one chance… can you imagine what will happen if we don’t make it?
This is what we will carry to
◦ the grave
◦ to the haud
◦ to the bridge
◦ to the place where the book will be given
◦ to the place where deeds will be measured
In death, the scenario will change. What is invisible will be visible
The body in next life will be different. It will have the ability to see angels. There will be no
death. Hands will speak. Foot will bear witness.
EVERY action is being recorded
