First step towards fulfilling out my dream……..

Background : Sketch of The Khajuraho Temples
                                                By : Anuj Agrawal
 I am Anuj Agrawal, born and brought up in a
    town of Madhya Pradesh, Guna
 I pursued engineering in my undergrad and
currently am a management student at IIFT.
 From the age of 5 years I started having interest
in drawing and sketching and later on in other
art works as well. Sketching is a hobby I have
    pursued till date
 I love chating with people whether my friends,
family members or strangers but not virtually on
    social networking sites though
 I am also interested in dancing, swimming,
music listening singing(which only a few
    admire) and playing basketball
 My dream that is very close to my heart is : “To collect the best
of works of art from people of rural as well as urban slum
areas, who because of having many hardships never got an
opportunity to showcase their talent , and organize an
exhibition where people of aesthetic interest come,
appreciate their work and provide them opportunity as
well as feedback to carry forward their talent as career”.
 The works of art may be in the form of paintings, sculptures,
pottery, handicrafts or any displayable form.
 There are certain works which are world class or keep potential
to become world class but are left hidden in closed shelves. I
want to visit each and every house ,that I can, and find these
works and get them before the world.
 Even there is a lot of requirement of such hidden talent and so
these people will get tremendous opportunities.
 I myself is an avid lover of art be it any form and at times have seen
such masterpieces created by people that I have felt that “Why are
  they yet untapped?”
 I have thought many a times of being lucky to get appreciation and
support from my families to pursue my interest but there are people
who also have a desire to work on their interests, and are really very
good in these but can’t get that support and platform
 Also my mom have been a great motivating factor behind this. She
use to encourage and even fund our maid’s son who was also
interested in learning art and today he could take classes for the
  same
 Not Exactly!!!

 I have found a lot of times that this section of society has got a lot of
talent but don’t get a chance to blossom. And so it’s a great chance for
me to visit different places which I have never been in contact with and
see those pieces which I can never seen and have never imagined
  even.

 It fills me with excitement thinking having an exhibiton of those
hidden talents that people have never seen and are willing to have a
  glance of those.

 Along with these people, my mom and sister who also are deeply
enthusiastic about art work will be the happiest at that moment

The silent village , a sketch created by me recently
 Making the dream successful will start with visiting villages and slum
areas in Delhi NCR as well as few villages of other states like Madhya
Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh
 In villages I can meet village sarpanchs and gather crowds. Tell them
the purpose and ask them to show every kind of art work they are
    involved in
 I will be collecting all those works that I find amusing and get details of
    the artists
 I will need to find details of people involved in art fields who have
achieved heights as many as I can, print brochures for the exhibiton,
post these to every involved organization, individual, business, that I
find and touch base with them
 Campaigning through print media, radio, social networking sites,
colleges and gather as many people as I can and for volunteers as well
 Arranging for jury and critics that consist of biggies in the field
 Organize the event, book hall, get the artworks ready for display and
call all those people whose work are to be displayed in the exhibition
 Campaigning:
            Print Ads : Rs. 15,000
            Radio : Rs. 10,000
            Social advertising : Free
 Approaching people:
            Printing Brochures : Rs.10000
Banners and Posters for promotion assuming 100 : Rs.5000
 Photography expenses : Rs.20,000(including copies for after exhibition work)
 Booking Art Gallery : Rs. 20,000 (private gallery in Delhi prize for a day)
 Traveling charges(that include mainly trains, buses, taxis, Autos, rickshaw, Tonga) : Rs.
    15,000(Max. including overheads)
 Frames and other needs for organizing the works for display – Rs. 15,000(100 entries and
Rs.150 average on every piece of work )
 Allowances for calling people from distant places : Rs.20000 (considering 50 people and
    Rs.400 as average expense)

 Total with present figures : Rs.1,30,000

 IF overheads exist it won’t exceed Rs. 1,50,000
 Well begun is half done and so if the event is successfully completed
then I can expect a lot much contributions from various enthusiasts
  of similar interests

 After the event I have to be in consistent contact with the people
both who appreciated the work and the artists who created the work

 This will be a beginning to start such chain of events and I have an
advantage of being in Delhi where I can get many people who would
  be interested in these events.

 The confidence and satisfaction after the success of the event can
never be compared to any other thing

Sketch of Radha Krishna, Created by me during School
