Americans), his research indicates heart attacks
are not correlated with total Cholesterol or LDL,
but may be correlated with VLDL (main carrier of
Triglyceride)
• VLDL may even decrease with consumption of
Saturated Fat!
• Informed the committee of findings, but got
voted off
• Even the public ignores the awkward

4. WHO was wrong?
• Previous WHO dietary guidelines were inconsistent
with data or based on false data
– The study of saturated fat intake vs. mortality
– The study of fat-based diets on animals
– Statin (Cholesterol lowering drug) only seems effective for
men aged 30 – 40 (not all patients)
• The artificial “fat” used to feed animals were man-
made, the process creates a byproduct that later
refined to make Margarine (contains lots of
Triglyceride)
• Now WHO is slowly changing their recommendations

5. The People Who Maintains the Myth
• Conflict of interest – big pharmaceutical
companies are the ones funding medical journals
• Side-effects of drugs are broken down to milder
symptoms
• Drug test is conducted by screening non-
compatible patients (to reduce cases of serious
side-effects)
• Statin also has anti-inflammation properties, just
like Aspirin!
• Maybe the patient is just healthy enough to
endure the (harmful) treatment and recover

• Heart disease is caused by inflammation of blood
vessel
• When blood vessels are injured, LDL will go to
repair it (building cells)
• Residual Iron, Calcium and other metals will be
deposited at the site (if inflammation is serious),
causing permanent narrowing of blood vessel
• Reducing inflammation and strengthening of
immune system (to combat infection) is key!

9. Understand It Correctly
• LDL level is a poor predictor of heart disease
• Cholesterol level in chronic patients (or soon-
to-be) tend to drop to very low, but usually
still plenty of LDL deposits near the heart
• High LDL is a symptom: your body’s way of
telling you are injured somewhere. Don’t
smash the lights for warning you!
