1. IG3 Evaluation
With this task in mind we has to create a short film project with our own intentions of what we
wanted to create, Emily one of the team came up with an idea of a woman being chased by 2 men
played by myself and marc (a romantic tale of 3) , equally we both try to impress her to win her over
and throughout the film its mainly focused on myself and Emily bonding and surprises with mark in
the shadows following us everywhere we go and having his input with Emily trying to win her over
with different flowers to the ones I gave her. Just a constant battle between us two , some of the
scenes we couldn’t do due to marc leaving the college also some of the scenes were just too deep
anyway etc. fighting in a river/lake. We all had a go at writing a script for the film and eventually
Becky are camera women got the final script for us to use and for us to navigate of, for example on
the programme we edit are film (Adobe premiere pro) like I said before some of the scenes we
couldn’t do so we just used text like ‘mwah’ , ‘a rose for you madam’ to fill in the gaps and try make
it the best we could, I have yet to add a grey filter or an audio to get that old romance feeling, aside
from that my film is mostly completed.
Strengths & weaknesses
Within this film there are a lot of strengths and a lot of weaknesses, I would say the strengths of the
film is that for a short film the story and script is a very good background and navigator to go off,
secondly were not really bad actors so it seems more realistic than it should , also romance is easy
to do because you can play a lot of things around love like laughter , silliness, seriousness etc..
The weaknesses are that we had to cut some of the scenes out because mark has left the college so
we had to change a few things around and we couldn’t get it done before that because other people
were ill. So we had to make some changes and just stick with the footage we had. Another weakness
we had is that we’re was filming was a bit busy so people kept coming in and out of shots , even
when we was in the park filming people kept walking past I suppose it makes it more real but when
its focused on the characters it sort of takes the focus off.
