• On 5 April 2016 CMI Insurance Company

• CMI started life in the late 1980s and at
one point was branded Scottish Widows
• The RL360° Services book of business is
about 17,350 policies
• RL360° Services has a branch in Hong
Kong but no staff there any more

• It is currently a small enterprise but
has great potential
• We see Ardan as being able to serve a
need that RL360 cannot
• It is not part of the Insurance

9. • In 2017 we agreed to buy Friends
Provident International (FPI) from Aviva
and the deal completed in July 2020
• FPI has 150,000 policies and RL360 has
80,000 – making 230,000 in total
• Our combined assets under administration
are £17 billion
• FPI has branches in Hong Kong, Singapore
and Dubai
• Their Isle of Man office is in Castletown
• We retain the Friends Provident
International brand

• Aim was to provide Life Assurance for
the Society of Friends commonly
known as “Quakers”
• Provident Institution - Tuke and
Rowntree – propose an organisation
“to provide the security of life
assurance” to the Society of Friends

Friends put up an initial £10,700
