It was established in 2008 by Ken Golby, who has over 30 years of experience in financial services. offices in Philippines and Thailand.

competent staff and management team. The Excelsior group is able to offer a full range of ser-
vices such as: asset management, investment planning & advice, estate succession planning,
company formation, trusts and administration services.
The name Phoenix was conceived after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines and
the Phoenix Investment Management Group Limited was formed on the 23rd of April 1999 in the
British Virgin Islands, but reregistered in the Bahamas one year later under the shorter name of
Phoenix Investment Consulting Limited in order to reflect the description of the services more
clearly.
On the 1st July 2001 Phoenix Investment Consulting Limited acquired Tiger Pacific
Management Limited. In 2005, Phoenix Consultants Limited was formed in order to reflect the
continued growth of the company and to define the more complete range of services offered to
our clients. Phoenix Consultants Limited is now wholly owned by the Chief Executive Officer Mr.
Ken Golby.
The Excelsior Group was established on 24th September 2008 to provide exclusive legal and
structured financial solutions for innovative businesses. Excelsior’s focus is on designing top
class innovative solutions to attain the goals and aspirations of our business partners.

3. Ken Golby has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has
spent 10 years in the onshore UK industry and over 20 years in the offshore industry and
is a member of The Institute of Supervisory Management. In 1982 he started his career
working for Merchant Investors in London and moved up from consultant to Managing
Director of a national independent brokerage linked to an accountancy practice.
10 very successful years later an offer was made to represent a company in Dubai,
UAE known as Finexco International Limited, a truly international brokerage working in
over 30 countries and after spending 7 successful years developing the Middle East in
1999 he was a founder member of Phoenix International Management Group Limited
registered in British Virgin Islands. One year later the company was transferred to the
Bahamas and called Phoenix Investment Consulting and as Managing Director the
company was grown to cover the Far East, Middle East and South America. In 2005 he
became Chief Executive Officer and sole owner of Phoenix Consultants Limited, which
trades today in Africa, Europe, Far East, Latin America, Middle East and South East Asia.
In 2008 he gained the qualification CII Award from the Chartered Insurance Institute,
in 2009 he passed the required examination module with The Institute of Banking &
Finance in Singapore, also in 2009 gained the qualifying module with the Singapore
College of Insurance and in 2011 became a member of the Society of Will Writers in the
United Kingdom.

6. Phoenix Consultants Limited
The name Phoenix was conceived after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in
the Philippines at the start of 1990’s and one of the original partners in
the fledgling business built a hotel out of the ashes called Phoenix Hotel,
which opened in 1994 and continues to oper-
ate very successfully now with 43 rooms.
This is where the initial name was born,
Phoenix Investment Management Group Lim-
ited, which was formed on the 23rd of April
1999 in the British Virgin Islands, but re-
registered in the Bahamas one year later un-
der the shorter name of Phoenix Investment
Consulting Limited.
On the 1st July 2001 Phoenix Investment Consulting Limited acquired
Tiger Pacific Management (Taiwan) Limited and in 2005, Phoenix Consult-
ants Limited, also in the Bahamas, was formed due to the retirement of
the outgoing partner resulting in Phoenix Consultants Limited now being
