NRL was launched in 1983 by Andrew and Hugh Redmayne to provide NDT services from an office on the Sellafield site. Over the next few decades, NRL expanded its operations by opening new offices across the UK and launching divisions for rail, training, and international services. Key events included winning contracts with BNFL in 1999, launching the rail division in 2001, and gaining various accreditations between 2008-2015.
