required to deliver fifteen minute planned lesson containing learning outcome. Furthermore, this
session was recorded and observed by the peers to evaluate. Due to my interest in ESOL I
decided to deliver my session on Boogle Puzzle to embed a simple literacy/numeracy activity
aims to target ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) learners. In this task, pupils are
given activity to make seven ten words in the English language from the word grid to improve
word recognition and spellings.

The invasion of Russia was the largest military campaign of the Second World War. Operation
Barbarossa, as it was known, was launched on 22 June 1941 and completely took Russia by surprise.
The widening war raging in Africa and eastern Europe were key distractions for Hitler from his
ultimate goal of attacking Russia.
Although the British army remained undefeated in the west, Hitler s goal proved an urgency for

Russian prisoners. With this success, the push for Leningrad and Moscow began once again,
however the situation began to change with autumn rains slowing advances and winter creeping up.

however the city never fell. At the same time, one army group reached the outskirts of Moscow but
by December night temperatures fell to below 50 degrees, German soldiers lacked adequate
clothing, fuel froze in the tanks, weapons jammed and the armies were struggling for supplies. It
was then that the Russian army, reinforced with troops from the Eastern front, launched a major
counter attack and drove the Germans back 150 kilometers back before they stabilized their line.
In the course of the invasion, the Russians had lost over 5 million soldiers and Germany over 1
million, but the German campaign still failed.
Though there is not one single causing factor, the Germans had underestimated the Russians who
had men to spare and were encouraged by Stalin s message of Nationalism where he called on to

cheerleader. Being able to have the opportunity to thrive in school spirit and to be able to build

realities that people do not wish to face.
People bury different aspects of themselves because they are ashamed of these characteristics.
These buried secrets become what people despise in themselves and others since no one likes to
face what he tries so hard to put behind. Heinrich Himmler, the person responsible for the German
concentration camps, is a perfect example of a man who tries to forget a part of himself. Being
stricken by influenza as a child, Himmler never had the robust physic that he admired in his brother
Gebhard (329). Himmler believes that a man should be strong and that a woman should be weak;
the twilight area between the certainties of gender, homosexuality, horrifies him. (333) The stereo
typical homosexual man is, like Himmler, weak. Himmler finds this to be an unacceptable reality.

What Happens To A Dream Deferred By Langston Hughes Essay
During the Harlem Renaissance, many look towards big cities to pursue their dreams. Langston
Hughes, a famous poet, knew how important dreams were and he saw dreams crumble during his
times. Dreams are a big deal in life because people set dreams to give themselves hope. When
their dreams crumble, their spirits die as well because they have nothing else to strive for. In
Harlem, Hughes uses vivid imagery and similes to illustrate how dreams deferred upset and defeat
the human spirit inside one s self. Hughes starts his poem with the rhetorical question what happens
to a dream deferred (line 5)? He then offers a series of responses towards the question, to remind

The mention of the raisin in the sun (line 3) makes the reader picture a dry shriveled raisin lying
in the sun. After that Hughes states whether a denied dream fester like a sore (line 4). Here the
readers picture a nasty running sore, which coveys the consequences of deferred dreams.
Hughes then asks if dreams stink like rotten meat (line 6). This description makes the readers
sense the rotten smell of meat, which is not a pleasant smell. Next he says dreams are a heavy
load (line10). This image makes one think of a person carrying hard work by themselves,
without anybody s help. They are so exhausted that they drop the load and put it away for now.
People tend to put their dreams away and once their put away it s hard to pick them back up.
They tend to not have the same drive or momentum they had once before. To conclude this poem,
Hughes ask the final question whether a dream just explode (line 11). This is a very strong and
bold word to compare a dream to because explode means the end. This verb makes the readers
picture and hear the sound of a bomb exploding. This is the final step of a dream crumbling because
once one have gone through so much, they can no longer contain themselves. This leaves their
