International Happiness Day - What Makes You Happy At Work? Hppy
The document is a collection of responses from various individuals about what makes them happy at work on International Happiness Day. It includes short quotes from over 30 people from different organizations and industries talking about things like working with inspiring colleagues, having autonomy and creativity, helping others, and being part of a company with a positive culture and mission.
Candidate A argues that adopting a positive attitude is a key way to attain happiness. This involves smiling often, which improves one's own mood and how others respond. It also means finding good in challenges and not giving up easily.
Candidate B claims that setting and achieving goals is crucial for happiness. Goals provide motivation and fulfillment, and boost self-esteem even through small successes. Goals should have timeframes and be modified if needed.
Candidate C maintains that good health is essential for happiness. Health allows one to face life's demands and play a role in society. It encompasses physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being.
The document discusses the differences between ordinary and successful people. It states that ordinary people prefer traditional ways of living and are not creative or willing to take risks, while successful people are always looking for new ideas and answers. Successful people see goals as a way to continuously improve, while ordinary people see goals as endings. The document emphasizes that education is lifelong and one must keep learning to adapt to changing expectations and trends. It concludes that true achievement comes from daring to follow your own path without comparing yourself to others and from never giving up trying.

The document discusses leadership lessons from Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. It provides examples of how Lincoln led through vision, communication skills, demanding excellence, learning from failures, and serving as a role model. It describes how King led the civil rights movement through non-violent protest, appealed to moral values, and helped change segregation laws, though he was ultimately assassinated for his work. The document also discusses traits of transformational leaders, including providing vision and purpose during times of change or threat.
In a day and hour like the one we living, true and faithful leaders are hard to find. Education as a tool, can be used to train young people to become future leaders with integrity. As "Iron sharpens iron" leaders needs training from time to time to keep them in check and held accountable at all costs. Good leadership is an endangered specie (Jones, 2009). This presentation was made at the annual Moithuti Economic Empowerment Conference hosted by Tshwane University of Technology's Student Affairs and Extracurricular Development.
The document summarizes the internship activities of Parul Sharma at the Siddhartha Vashishtha Charitable Trust (SVCT) from February 25th to March 25th, 2011. The internship involved visiting SVCT programs that provide education to children of inmates, cancer awareness activities, and vocational training support. Key activities included distributing educational aid, organizing drawing competitions, and facilitating job opportunities. While the organization faces funding challenges, it is working to help underprivileged communities through education and rehabilitation initiatives. The internship provided valuable exposure to the non-profit sector and how SVCT is meeting social welfare goals.
Thomas Saouma describes an example of when his leadership had an impact during a week-long summer camp in Cambodia. He was asked to replace the chief instructor who became ill. He organized activities for 1,000 children, allocated monitors to teams, planned meals, solved communication issues, and adapted the program to local culture. Through daily meetings, he motivated tired staff, improved communication, and settled disputes. As a result, the camp was a success. He believes an IE master's program in management with an international business specialization would further strengthen his leadership skills by exposing him to diverse cultures and preparing him to lead multicultural teams globally.

illness isn’t always enough to restore their smile and
their joy of living. Caring for them and their relatives
is also essential. Today, despite the presence of
numerous associations dedicated to children, many

are a priority for treatment.
3. Yes’Poir
It is to overcome this lack-of that Yes’Poir, a non-

bring happiness and joy in the lives of these children,
seven teenagers and I have led the association, in a
spirit of support and listening. Therefore, we chose
to build our project around three main axes:
7. This whole experience was an inspirational journey.
As a matter of fact, at the beginning of the year, the
opportunity to take charges presented itself: I was
nominated Vice-President of the association. It was
the perfect time for me to put my leadership skills
forward. And I did.
8. My overall job consisted of finding volunteers to help
us put in place activities for the children as well as
their mothers, to find financial donations, and also to
find sponsors that would help us carry on with our
project. Also, my duty was to advertise our
association through a website, social networks,
