This document defines entrepreneurship and identifies attitudes and behaviors of entrepreneurs. It provides several definitions of entrepreneurship from different sources: 1) an Indonesian dictionary defines it as someone who identifies new products, determines production methods, and manages capital operations, 2) Richard Cantillon defined it as an innovator who develops something unique and new, 3) Schumpeter defined it as someone who identifies opportunities and creates an organization to pursue them, 4) Mas'ud Machfoedz and Mahmud Machfoedz defined it as an innovator who transforms opportunities into marketable ideas and adds value through effort, time, cost and skills to generate profits. In conclusion, an entrepreneur is someone who independently strives to mobilize resources,

1. Definition of Entrepreneurial and Entrepreneurship
Pengertian Wirausaha dan Kewirausahaan
a. Entrepreneurial/Wirausaha
Entrepreneurial term is from two syllables, which is wira and usaha. Wira is hero, synonymous with courage.
While, Usaha is the activity by exerting energy, thoughts, and all resources to achieve a certain goal.
Istilah wirausaha berasal dari dua suku kata, yaitu wira dan usaha. Wira adalah pahlawan, identik dengan
keberanian, sedangkan usaha adalah kegiatan dengan mengerahkan tenaga, pikiran, dan seluruh sumber daya
untuk mencapai suatu tujuan tertentu.
According to terminologies, there are same definitions of entrepreneurial, namely:
Secara istilah, ada beberapa pengertian wirausaha yaitu sebagai berikut:
1) Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI)
People who are smarted and talented identify new product, determine how new production, preparing the
operation for making new product, market it, and managing the capital operation

Entrepreneurial is someone that gets opportunity and creates organization to reach that opportunity
Wirausaha adalah seseorang yang memperoleh peluang dan menciptakan organisasi untuk mengejar
peluang tersebut.
4) Mas’ud Machfoedz dan Mahmud Machfoedz (2004)

2. Entrepreneurial is an innovator who is able to change opportunity became marketable ideas, able to give
added value through effort, time, cost, and skill to make gain.
According that terms above, can be concluded entrepreneurial is someone who dared to try to strive
independently to mobilize all resources and efforts to include the intelligence to recognize new product, markets
it, and manage capital operations to produce high values.
