For me, both images represent the type of people that give up on life too easily. I think this can be an exciting concept to use in my social realist film opening as I visualise this to reflect the hardships and issues working class people experience daily may experience. In today’s world teenagers are portrayed (mostly by the media) for being hopeless, for example, the London riots which happened in 2011 was circulated around various newspapers and one clear indication was that it happened due to people financial deprival and gang culture. Therefore, my film could explore the issues concerning class divisions between the rich and the poor. It can follow the lifestyle of an underprivileged working class teenager trying to find power/justice.
