- Thank you for giving us the opportunity to present and we are happy to be here. Hello everyone i am Quan Xing, with my Team GoFresh with Business and Information system background. we are glad to present our solution for this iDARE Challenge 2021 which focusing in promoting urban farming in order to align with the 30 by 30 goal.
- The Singapore government is launching a 30 million grant to speed up the goal of meeting 30% of the local nutritional needs by 2030 In order to align with the 30 by 30 goal, National PARKs have launched a gardening with edible initiatives by giving free seeds to encourage the public to garden at home. The initiatives were very successful where National PARKs raised the number of seeds packets from 100,000 in june to 400,000 now
- However, some common problems still exist for growers E.g How should I get started with the seed? What happen to my greens? Is there a way to learn from each other? Will this green fit my home decoration?
- Some of the factors that lead to these problems could be Lack of guidance, lack of motivation, Troublesome to identify the right solution And Incapable to visualise and try before they buy
- Introducing to you GoFresh! A one-stop platform that aims to educate and motivate growers with the 4 big features. First up, we have Handy tips and Guideline. Our solution lets hobbyists select a wide variety of plants from leafy greens to fruit, Information on what to expect, E.g. How long does a seed take to germinate is given in a timely manner. Handy tips and guideline are always a click away. Another great feature uses Image recognition, It is being integrated with AI technology to visually analyse your green. E.g. It can help to analyse what disease your plants may have or why they are not growing optimally. Next up, we have our planting community, A great feature that provides a communication channel among growers. Growers can learn from each other by making a post. Moving on is our AR feature, A great way to simulate how the green would look like at a dedicated location. It is crucial for Singaporeans as the space limitation is a big issue for green lovers in Singapore.
- With GoFresh!, there are various benefits that the growers could enjoy. GoFresh! Is compatible with the majority of home gardening solutions, from a simple pot on your balcony to the common urban farming kits found online. We embark on technology to bring you a smart gardening experience. With our one-stop platform solution, this could be the starting point for growers to start and manage their green at ease. Our community could bring encouragement and motivation to everyone and boost the spirit of urban-farming or home gardening.

- In GoFresh! we believe planting should be fun and easy. As an IT Enthusiast , we hope to embark on technology to maximize the experience of urban-farming/ home gardening in our heartland. GoFresh! hope to empower everyone to be a smart urban-farmer/ home gardener by utilising technology to make plant-parenting downright easy for everyone!

- So how do we make money? We can monetize our application through In-App advertising and Subscription model. Once we have a stable number of users, we would look for monetization platform to perform In-App advertising. Another way that we can generate our revenue would be through subscription model where user have to subscribe to our services to enjoy some of the premium features. E.g., AI Image recognition and Augmented Reality.
- This is what we have achieved so far. We managed to develop the first version of GoFresh! and approach possible partner to adopt our idea. In the future we hope to look for value added partner to make GoFresh! better.
- Singaporean politician Mr Ang Wei Neng, highlighted that the stress and the life changed during this covid 19, he encourages Singaporean to do urban farming, for better ensuring the food security. This have brought GoFresh! a good market opportunity as residents can grow their own green at home by using our application. The ambitious 30 by 30 goal boost the spirit of urban-farming and home gardening in Singapore. A 30 million grant have been given by government to launch a gardening with edible initiatives promote urban-farming. It is a good market opportunity for GoFresh! as we can serve as a one-stop platform for growers and ultimately align with the 30 by 30 goal.
