ICT is the main enabler of innovation in education. The document discusses two projects in Slovak schools that utilized notebook computers for every student. At ZŠ R. Dilonga Trstená, teachers Peter Pallo and Lolo Mačor implemented a program where every student received a notebook computer. A similar program was also implemented at ZŠ Bošany led by teachers Jana Kontúrová and her colleagues. The programs resulted in fun and motivation for students, anytime anywhere learning, and improved self-esteem for students with special needs. For teachers, it provided new ways to teach, new ways for teachers to communicate with each other and students, and support for cooperation and teamwork.
