simplifying and securing document exchange
Participation in B2B programs still remains out of reach for many
organizations. They may be limited by a lack of technical skills,
outdated technology, or budgetary restrictions. It can be both expensive
and inefficient to deal with non-compliant organizations.
IBM®
Sterling Supplier Portal is a secure Web site that allows you and
your trading partners to create and exchange business documents
electronically over the Internet – extending business-to-business (B2B)
capabilities to your business partners, regardless of their size or
technical expertise.
IBM Sterling offers your business community an affordable alternative
to paper-based communications which are difficult to manage, can
introduce errors and delays, drive up administrative costs, and impair
the performance of highly efficient business processes or supply
chain operations.
With Sterling Supplier Portal, you are in control of your supplier
community. Your sponsor site allows you to create and configure a
Web community where you can invite and onboard suppliers through
the Web interface. Once part of your Web community, your suppliers
have access to a task-based, event-driven interface with clear visibility
into the supply chain.
Through our secure Web service, your trading partners enter data in
forms to create electronic business documents such as invoices,
purchase orders, acknowledgements, and advance ship notices.
When they submit a form, we convert it into the electronic format
your systems require.
Sterling Supplier Portal can also enable your smaller customers.
The Sterling Supplier Portal customer enablement option allows you
to share your catalog with your smaller customers, giving them a way to
order from you using the most up-to-date product information. It can
also be customized to meet your needs to provide customer-specific
product offerings and customized business rules.

IBM Software IBM® Sterling Supplier Portal Improving trading partner participation while simplifying and securing document exchange Participation in B2B programs still remains out of reach for many organizations. They may be limited by a lack of technical skills, outdated technology, or budgetary restrictions. It can be both expensive and inefficient to deal with non-compliant organizations. IBM® Sterling Supplier Portal is a secure Web site that allows you and your trading partners to create and exchange business documents electronically over the Internet – extending business-to-business (B2B) capabilities to your business partners, regardless of their size or technical expertise. IBM Sterling offers your business community an affordable alternative to paper-based communications which are difficult to manage, can introduce errors and delays, drive up administrative costs, and impair the performance of highly efficient business processes or supply chain operations. With Sterling Supplier Portal, you are in control of your supplier community. Your sponsor site allows you to create and configure a Web community where you can invite and onboard suppliers through the Web interface. Once part of your Web community, your suppliers have access to a task-based, event-driven interface with clear visibility into the supply chain. Through our secure Web service, your trading partners enter data in forms to create electronic business documents such as invoices, purchase orders, acknowledgements, and advance ship notices. When they submit a form, we convert it into the electronic format your systems require. Sterling Supplier Portal can also enable your smaller customers. The Sterling Supplier Portal customer enablement option allows you to share your catalog with your smaller customers, giving them a way to order from you using the most up-to-date product information. It can also be customized to meet your needs to provide customer-specific product offerings and customized business rules.
