- Connections 6.0 elevator pitch (what's new) Introducing Connections 6 so teams and organizations of any size can get the most out of their work day. IBM Connections starts with the end-to-end social enterprise network capabilities including email, meetings, chat, documents, and content. However, Connections 6 introduces the brand new Orient Me home screen; The first homepage that knows you! Orient Me allows you to boost your personal productivity with prioritized updates, people alerts, and naturally organized content based on your unique behavior and daily interactions! Connections 6 introduces flexible layouts to match you and your team’s needs to the challenge at hand, and new digital onboarding even allows new team members to be quickly brought up to speed. Accessible from a desktop or mobile devices, you’ll have one version of the truth, and everyone will have the information they need at their fingertips.
- Connections is evolving toward Pink. First Connections Blue, or Connections.next will be the last release of Connections with the current codebase for our on-premises customers. It will have a number of cutting-edge features including advanced Communities and Files, a new User Onboarding wizard, a cleanup of the look-and-feel; and the first of the Pink services, Orient Me. Connections Green gives us those same new features, plus Box integration, in IBM’s public cloud. And then Pink gives us the future.
