I Made America is a transmedia story told across multiple online and offline channels. Relationships and story arcs are developed through video and micro-content on social networks, with video serving as the "heartbeat" and micro-content as the "blood cells". The story follows six Founding Fathers - Adams, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Madison, and Washington - who are kidnapped from their own time and brought to live in 2012, sharing their experiences on social media. The transmedia project is intended to ride the wave of interest in the 2012 US election by bringing political figures from history into modern times. It launched in January 2012 and its success is measured through various online engagement metrics.
