This document summarizes a hybrid mobile application project for a financial reporting tool. The tool will automate report generation for invoicing and project tracking by storing project data in JSON and using Google Charts for reporting. Key features will include login/logout functionality, adding users and projects, and generating reports. The tool aims to improve operational efficiency over a manual system and reduce human error. It was developed using NetBeans, PhoneGap, jQuery Mobile, JSON and Google Charts.

 The rationale for this tool is to improve operational efficiency by replacing a
manual system with an automated solution
 Improving operational efficiency results in financial gain for companies
 The application will also improve data accuracy by reducing the factor for
human error

5. Why it makes sense…
 It makes sense to build our application because it is a simple low-
cost project, which results in greater benefits than costs
 Users will be able to offload their report making duties and focus
on higher priority tasks
 Data accessibility will be improved with the addition of a mobile
portal for individuals to access information

6. Competitors in the market
 Competitor products exist, however they are usually large scale and
provide more functionally than is required for our application
 Limiting functionality to only what’s required allows us to target a focused
customer base. It also results in more cost-savings to the customer.
