This document outlines success factors for hybrid and digital events. It emphasizes the importance of active participation, interaction, and co-creation from attendees. Events should allow participants to customize their experience and select the content most relevant to them. Content needs to be inspiring, meet expectations, and distinguish the event. Events also need to engage multiple senses and facilitate networking through digital tools while protecting privacy. The optimal length is 4 hours maximum, broken into 30-45 minute segments with varied presentation formats.
2. BE INVOLVED
= ADD VALUE
PARTICIPATION, INTERACTION & CO-CREATION
Active participation through pre- and post event activities
Adjust content in advance to the needs of the target groups
Allow participants to define the added value themselves
Active participation creates more intense experiences
Design an appropriate UX and UI for platform and technology
3. I AM IN
CONTROL
Participants select and create their own experience
Participation should not be mandatory
Individual event experiences create exclusivity and
add value
AUTONOMY SELF-DETERNIMATION

5. Inspiring content keeps participants active and
engaged
Content needs to meet (or exceed…) expectations
and add value
Surprising (but relevant…) content is a USP,
distinguishing an event from:
other providers and offers
other events
CONTENT – PRE, DURING POST EVENT
CONTENT IS
(STILL…) KING
6. MULTISENSORY HAPTIC MOMENTS
Involve multiple (all!) senses
Goal: Amplifying emotions and more
memorable experiences
Creating an unique and effective event
Participants feel involved and understood
Sets the event apart from other events and offers
7. INFINITE
INTERACTION
NETWORKING INTERPERSONAL DIALOGUE
Integration of stimulating and value-added digital tools
Key considerations:
Who communicates with whom?
Random or deliberate allocation (matchmaking)?
Size of the communication groups
(personal dialogue, groups, all participants)?
How is communication carried out (chat, voice, video)?
Key requirement: data protection
