3. INTRODUCTION
• Plastics are a group of materials, either synthetic or naturally
occurring, that may be shaped when soft and then hardened to
retain the given shape. Plastics are polymers. A polymer is a
substance made of many repeating units.
• The word polymer comes from two Greek words: poly ,
meaning many, and meros , meaning parts or units. A polymer
can be thought of as a chain in which each link is the “mer,”
or monomer (single unit).

4. OBJECTIVE
• In our daily life for our usage we started destroying the
environment. In order to change our society we have to change
our self so I decided to do some of the steps as per following
in my life.

5. HOW PLASTIC IS HARMFUL
• Plastic is a material made to last forever, yet 33 percent of all
plastic - water bottles, bags and straws - are used just once and
thrown away. Plastic cannot biodegrade; it breaks down into
smaller and smaller pieces.
• Toxic chemicals leach out of plastic and are found in the blood
and tissue of nearly all of us. Exposure to them is linked to
cancers, birth defects, impaired immunity, endocrine
disruption and other ailments.

8. CONCLUSION
The causes of social change are diverse, and the processes
of change can be identified as either short-term trends or long-
term developments. Change can be either cyclic or one-
directional.
This is excellent subject which leads us to learn the social
activity in a practical way.
