Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar criminal industry that denies freedom to 24.9 million people worldwide through sex trafficking, child trafficking, and labor trafficking. Sex trafficking involves over 150 brothels in Hawaii alone employing girls primarily from Asia who are later transported to major US cities. Child trafficking exploits children through forced labor, sexual exploitation, and involvement in armed forces and drug trades. Labor trafficking enslaves over 14 million people through forced labor in industries such as agriculture, construction, domestic work and manufacturing.
