Who are we? What do we do?

• Hursley is a Wellington based consultancy that specialises in solving problems using graph
based visualisation, layout and analysis built on a platform developed by the American
company, Tom Sawyer Software.
• We combine business analysis and solution architecture tools and techniques.
• Our enhanced visualisation product Hubscope Team Edition assists organisations with
understanding the interdependencies between business and technology.
• ‘One Project, One Objective, Different Perspectives,’ summarises our approach as we seek
to remind everyone that they are all working to the same project objective but need to
understand how their perspective on the project relates to, supports and depends upon
others.
• Hubscope TE lets everyone in the team contribute their unique insights and combines
them into a common objective that can be viewed from many different perspectives:
1. How can we get everyone on the same page?
2. How can we ensure that the objectives for the project are clear and explain the
project to executive stakeholders and ensure their support?
3. How can we measure progress and update stakeholders on the current status of
the project?
4. How can we ensure that all requirements have been delivered to and tested?

• Better conversations:
• Project managers (reduce risk)
• Project sponsors (realize benefits)
• Business analysts (trace requirements)
• Solution architects (clarify dependencies)
• Faster impact analysis: Respond more quickly to change. If we need to change this thing,
how does it effect other things? e.g. what is the impact of requirement changes midway
through a build? What do we need to re-test?
• Better understanding: The ah-ha moment comes when you can see the big picture and
understanding the context – it encourages people who would normally hold back to
engage, interact and ask questions
• Shared objectives: Once people understand how what they’re doing relates to the whole
and the collective group effort then they contribute more and work more collaboratively.
• Less unknowns:
• Mitigate risk
• Reduce stress and problems
• Improve planning and enable better budget control
• Enjoy more demonstrable success

Next Steps …
We're sure you will find this way of visualising projects
incredibly helpful for both yourself and your team. For
more information go to:
www.hubscope.com
We also have a Hubscope Custom Edition, this provides
a more open platform for building highly specialised
visualisation solutions that fit your exact business
requirements, whatever the industry. Our iterative
methodology reduces delivery risk and engages
business stakeholders early and throughout the project.
We kick this off with a discovery workshop, which
brings together representative stakeholders from
business and IT to clarify scope and agree objectives.
