This document summarizes some results on solving discrete nonlinear inequalities that involve the maximum of an unknown function over past time intervals. Specifically, it presents two theorems and two corollaries that provide conditions under which certain discrete inequalities hold. The theorems establish inequalities for an unknown function u(n) in terms of its maximum value over past intervals and other coefficient functions. Examples are provided to illustrate the application of the results.

In this paper, an accurate numerical method is presented to find the numerical solution of the singularinitial value problems. The second-order singular initial value problem under consideration is transferredinto a first-order system of initial value problems, and then it can be solved by using the fifth-order RungeKutta method. The stability and convergence analysis is studied. The effectiveness of the proposed methodsis confirmed by solving three model examples, and the obtained approximate solutions are compared withthe existing methods in the literature. Thus, the fifth-order Runge-Kutta method is an accurate numericalmethod for solving the singular initial value problems.

Catalan Tau Collocation for Numerical Solution of 2-Dimentional Nonlinear Par...IJERA Editor
Tau method which is an economized polynomial technique for solving ordinary and partial differential
equations with smooth solutions is modified in this paper for easy computation, accuracy and speed. The
modification is based on the systematic use of „Catalan polynomial‟ in collocation tau method and the
linearizing the nonlinear part by the use of Adomian‟s polynomial to approximate the solution of 2-dimentional
Nonlinear Partial differential equation. The method involves the direct use of Catalan Polynomial in the solution
of linearizedPartial differential Equation without first rewriting them in terms of other known functions as
commonly practiced. The linearization process was done through adopting the Adomian Polynomial technique.
The results obtained are quite comparable with the standard collocation tau methods for nonlinear partial
differential equations.

We disclose a simple and straightforward method of solving single-order linear partial differential equations. The advantage of the method is that it is applicable to any orders and the big disadvantage is that it is restricted to a single order at a time. As it is very easy compared to classical methods, it has didactic value.

We disclose a simple and straightforward method of solving ordinary or linear partial differential equations of any order and apply it to solve the generalized Euler-Tricomi equation. The method is easier than classical methods and also didactic.

1. SOME DISCRETE NONLINEAR INEQUALITIES WITH “MAXIMA”
Snezhana Hristova Lilyana Vankova
Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Plovdiv University
Abstract
Some nonlinear discrete inequalities with powered unknown function are solved. The main
characteristic of the considered inequalities are the presence of the maximum of the unknown function
over a past discrete time as well the presence of the unknown function at the present discrete time
nonlinearly in both sides of the inequalities. Also, some applications of the solved inequalities to
difference equations with “maxima” are given to illustrate the application of the obtained results.
Key Words: discrete inequalities, maximum function, difference equations.
Preliminary Notes
A very useful apparatus in the theory of difference equations are difference inequalities
(Agarwal 2000), (Sheng, Li 2008). These equations are discrete analogous of integral inequalities
of Gronwall and Bihary types (Stefanova, Gluhcheva 2009), (Stefanova 2011). We will solve
some discrete inequalities in which the unknown function will be involved nonlinearly with its
maximum value over a previous time interval.
Let [0, ) , { , 1, 2, } , [ , ] { , 1, , } , where are
integers. In the proof of our main results we will use the following Lemma.
