INTRODUCTION
 LG Company was originally established in
the year 1958 as ‘Goldstar’. It was a
merger of two Korean Companies Lucky
and Goldstar.
 It is the second largest producer of
Televisions.
 It has four business units: Home
Entertainment, Mobile Communications,
Home Appliances and Air Solutions.
 It is a South Korean multinational
electronics company employing around
82,000 people worldwide.

 LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned
subsidiary of LG Electronics, South Korea was
established in January, 1997.
 In the year 1998, LG developed the world’s
first 60 inch plasma T.V.
 In the year 1999, it established as a joint
venture with Philips.
 In order to create a holding company, the
former LG Electronics was split off in 2002, the
"old" LG Electronics changing its name to LG
EI.
 It was then merged with and into LG CI in
2003, so the company that started as Goldstar
does not currently exist.

 LG Electronics launched an OLED TV in
2013 and 65-inch and 77-inch sizes in

first Bluetooth keyboard that folds up along the
four rows of keys that can be tossed in a purse
or pocket.
