It was started in 18th century by Britishers as Imperial Tobacco Corporation, after independence the name is changed to Indian Tobacco Company. At those times, they were mainly focused on selling of Tobacco and related products like cigars, Bedis, Gutkas, Parags and so on. But now ITC is one of the largest diversified firm, and they were in many of the business like: and so on. Now its market capitalization is more than 3lakh crores in Indian rupees. The environment existed in ITC is employee friendly, and most of the decisions they were taken are resulting in great output to ITC as well as to the society.
