Before you can successfully implement TCO, you will need all stakeholders—especially the service desk and assignment groups— to commit to building relationships with each other and with customers. As discussed earlier, the service desk and assignment groups must keep the customer in mind when they’re designing the integrated incident management and request management process TCO requires. To provide a customer-validated resolution
and fulfillment, the service desk and all assignment groups must work together seamlessly and transparently on successfully completing all activities/tasks related to the process (per the RACI matrix), ensuring that all relevant information is collected during the first customer contact, setting the customer’s expectation, and providing regular status updates.

Telecommuting – A Key Driver to Work-Life Balance and ProductivityIOSRJBM
The Global Workforce characteristics are changing worldwide. It is showing the growing diversity across sectors with heightened multicultural environment. The last decade had seen a remarkable change in the trend of approach of the organizations through various innovative practices. One of the growing practice is Employee- friendly policy, Work-from- Home (Telecommuting). Telecommuting has evolved and grown rapidly between 2000 and 2008. In the post- industrial economy, a growing number of jobs can be performed with few tools, basically a telephone and a computer with internet access. The popularity of Work-from-home (Telecommuting) has gained attention in the last decade with more and more employers and employees willingness to telecommute.Work – from- Home (Telecommuting) owes much of ongoing rise in popularity to the continuing improvements in Technology. Increasingly mobile and capable technology keeps at home workers connected with the main office, colleagues, customers, and the world. A 2008 IDC survey showed that 81percent of Asia Pacific executives believe that telecommuting improves productivity, up from 61 percent in 2005. The US and UK aren't the only countries that have jumped into telework.China, India, France, Brazil and Germany have all joined the global trend. The increase in a positive attitude towards telecommuting was also evident in Hong Kong, Australia and India. In this article, the effort is to understand the telecommuting with a special emphasis on productivity and work-life balance of employees and its implications on the organizations

GUUG FFG 2017 - DevOps for Everybody - A Workplace Strategy for the Digital AgeSchlomo Schapiro
How should our internal IT look in order to be a driving force for a company’s success in the digital age? This proposal is based on all my learnings from the previous 15 years and especially the Agile and DevOps revolution in IT. It takes the concept of a Product Development Organization to apply everywhere and provides a sure path to increase productivity and improve culture through technology. Transforming Corporate IT into a Workplace product takes internal IT out of the proverbial basement and puts it in the front of the internal value chain. Most of the standard tooling for product development also fits the Workplace product. This proposal is written for a typical company that employs both modern web technologies like G Suite and cloud services as well as traditional technologies like Microsoft Office and data centers.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
