The Theory of Evolution Essay
The theory of evolution by natural selection does not interfere with the Judeo Christian view of
god as the creator, based on multiple sources including statements from the Pope himself. Although
throughout history there are many instances of conflict between people, science, and the Catholic
Church, there has recently been a widespread acceptance for science and many even say it does
not interfere with the Judeo Christian view of god as the creator. This essay will discuss the
different types of views there are on evolution and creation, as well as go in depth to prove how
evolution by natural selection does not interfere with the Judeo Christian view on evolution. There
are many different views on evolution. The first is scientific... Show more content on

(Akin) Galileo was a prime example of a conflict between the Catholic Church and science. He
was a devout roman catholic, however a great scientist. Galileo had many contributions to the
world such as the telescope and his many discoveries in outer space. However one of the more
widely recognized was his support to Copernicus theory of heliocentricity. Before this the church
had stated that the sun revolved around the earth, known as the theory of geocenctricity. Galileo s
teachings were consequently banned by the church, and Galileo himself imprisoned. However, in
1992 the Vatican under Pope John Paul II held a ceremony to proclaim that Galileo was right in
his findings and support of Copernicus. (Tracts) This shows that the present day church does not
see science as a threat or interference to its teachings. The present day church actually supports
science, as well as the theory of evolution by natural selection. However, although evolution is
widely accepted by many Popes, as well as the Catholic Church, many things are still maintained. It
is still maintained that Adam was the first human and all life originated from him. The church still
says that all humans have souls. The church insists that a soul is unobservable; therefore it is
untestable by science since it has no effect on the natural world, and science cannot confirm or
deny its existence. The big bang theory is

Nandina Research Paper
Nandina (Nandina domestica) is also known as heavenly bamboo, although it has no relation to
the bamboo plant. It takes the nickname from the fact that its foliage bears an uncanny
resemblance to that of bamboo plants. Found in United States Department of Agriculture plant
hardiness zones 6 through 9, nandina is a woody shrub with year round interest. It bears flowers
in the spring and berries in the fall when its foliage turns red, gold and orange. In warmer
climates it is evergreen. One of the most important aspects of nandina care is annual pruning.
Time Frame Nandina produces flowers in late spring or summer, which make way for green
berries. These ripen to a striking red color in autumn and remain on the plant throughout fall and
sometimes through winter. While spring pruning is appropriate for many shrubs, if you prune the
nandina too late in the spring, you run the risk of not having berries the following season. The
ideal time to prune is in late winter or early spring. Tools... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two types of tools are used to prune the nandina. Use bypass pruning shears to cut branches and
shoots that measure 3/4 inches in diameter and smaller. Bypass pruners, while more expensive
than anvil type pruners, make a cleaner cut. For growth measuring up to 1 3/4 inches in diameter
use lopping shears. Always disinfect your pruning tools by wiping them down with alcohol before
using them. Failure to do so may spread plant diseases. Strategy When you prune the nandina, you
set the stage for the following season s growth. Prune one third of the stems, spaced randomly
around the nandina, to the soil. Prune another one third of the stems down to one half the shrub s
height. Allow the final third of the stems to remain unpruned. This staggered effect will show off
next season s flowers and

Smoking and dental implants do not go hand in hand. In fact, individuals who smoke and choose
to obtain a dental implant find they are at higher risk of infection following oral surgery and the
oral surgery recovery time increases. These are only two things a smoker must be aware of when
it comes to choosing the appropriate option for replacing a missing or failing tooth. However,
individuals should not be surprised by this, as smoking has been shown to have numerous negative
health effects. Why do dental professionals feel it is so important to share information regarding
the risks associated with dental implantsand smoking?

Essay on The keyboard sonatas of Haydn and Mozart
I. Haydn
Haydn has a special preference for writing music in a bundle of six. Each of the six pieces has its
individuality while sharing many common features at the same time. Haydn s solo keyboard
sonatas show striking diversity in type and style. They often could be categorized by their style
periods and each of them reflects a corresponding social background.
Sonatas composed from 1773 to 1784 were intended as public works from the very beginning,
with a clear conception of the taste, preferences, and instruments available to the musical public of
Vienna. The Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI: 23; L38 written in 1773 for solo harpsichord is the best

II. Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarthad endless ideas for writing piano sonatas and like his other works, his
sonata style has evolved dramatically over the years. His early works have been constantly
compared with other well known composers at the time. For example, it has been suggested that
Haydn s F Major Sonata, Hob. XVI: 23 as a model for Mozart s K. 280 in the same key.
The C Major Sonata, K. 309 was written on November 8, 1777 for the fifteen year old Rosa
Connabich who was the daughter of the leader of the Elector Karl Theodor s famous Mannheim
orchestra, Christian Cannabich. It was composed for solo piano. The three movements include
Allegro con spirito, Andante un poco Adagio , and Rondo: Allegretto grazioso. The opening
theme of the first movement uses a symmetrical paragraph of fourteen bars with seven measures
each. It is followed by a pair of 3 bar balancing phrases. The slow movement also adapted the well
balanced phrase structure at its exposition. This particular style was never unusual to musicians
during the period. It has been used by many others including Josef Antonin Stepan whose Sonata
no. 57 in E flat embraced almost identical elements as in Mozart s C Major Sonata. However,
Mozart made his own mark distinctively in various moments. For instance, in the second
movement, there was a frequent alternation between two dynamics, piano and forte.
During 1777, Mozart was traveling with his mother

A Conversation With A Serial Killer On The Loose
I remember seeing and hearing his name on the news. To be honest I was so intrigued and there
was just this feeling like I knew him. He was a so called rapist and killer, I became so interested
in him I read newspapers and watched so many news reports on him. They never caught him so
they only had sketches of what they thought he looked like...So it started when I was in my room
listening to music on my IPod. You see I m not the kind of girl who obeys rules or respects anyone
or anything. I don t care about consquences, I never really think things threw. So being the way I
am, I would sneak out every night around 3 a.m, the witching hour. Yeah I know I know. What?!

really noticed him. He was usually in the back as well, just watching people. After my usual
night, I began walking home, seeing the same car as before I sped up my walk. When I got home, I
didnt even change before bed. I just layed on my bed drifting off to sleep. He placed his hand over
my mouth and I immediately woke up. I was terrified, I looked over at the window as it was wide
open. I looked up at him, he seemed worried and scared. At that moment, I knew it was the guy
from the club. This was the man on the T.V they called a killer. He yelled, Don t scream! All I
could do was roll my eyes. I guess he liked the way I showed no fear because, he picked me up with
me facing his back and climbed out the window. I thought he was a killer like the news said, but I
wasn t afraid. He put me in the passenger side of the car I saw driving by my house. As we drove
off, I looked back at my house saying goodbye one last time. Honestly, I was kind of glad he took

Biome are Constellations of Adaptations
Biomes are appropriate conditions for organizing the natural world because the organisms that live
in them common constellations of adaptations, particularly the climate of each of the areas and the
characteristic vegetation types that develops in these divisions. It should be understood that the
climate is perhaps the most important in determining classes of individuals who may live in an area
and the ways they should be amended to live under different conditions of temperature and
precipitation and seasonal distribution of these factors element. Every place on Earth has its own
climate, influenced by both macroclimate regions as the particular microclimate. The soils are
very important because they are essential to determine the types of plants that will grow into a
bioclimatic zone in partical, in addition, also as substrates for animals serve. In turn, the soils are
heavily influenced by regional climate, as well as the geology of the bedrock. At the same time
we have to keep in mind the diversity of plants like the flora just like the diversity of the fauna as
well as the adaptation of both. The tundra Plantlife tends to be of low growth and, during the short
summer, the birds arrive in large numbers to feed on the insects that are born in this period. The
climate is cold summers and very cold winters characterize the tundra area in the northern most

The Role Of Sports Coach A Good Leader
An important role of a sports coach is to be a motivator. A motivator is someone who encourages
and creates an incentive for someone, such as a performer, to do well. A motivator may prompt
a performer by emphasising their progress in a positive way such as praising them on a good
performance therefore inspiring them to want to do well again. An example of a motivator would
be Kelly Holmes. Not only has she achieved gold in both the 1400m and the 800m in the 2004
Athens Olympics but she has set up the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust which engages with more than
3,000 vulnerable young people aged between 16 and 25 and provide them with a stepping stone into
community sport.

Responsibilities
Management and planning:
A coach has a lot of aspect to manage and plan, from equipment and the facility to transport and
competitions.
Many sport accidents occur as a result of activities taking place in unsafe or inappropriate facilities.
Learning to recognize potentially dangerous situations is therefore an important responsibility for
any coach. Prior to the start of the season the coach should ensure that the facility meets minimum
safety standards and also plan that the facility should be inspected regularly and maintained in safe
condition. A coach should also undertake an accurate equipment inventory at the start of the season
to establish the status of equipment and ensure that the correct amount of protective equipment is
available and that the equipment fits their participants.
A coach should be also able to find appropriate competitions for participants and arrange transport
to and from sports events. Without organising to go to competitions participants wouldn t be put to
their sporting limit and tested to see where they need to improve to succeed. Also without planning
to compete in competitions the performers may become bored as they don t have a

Essay on Narrative Therapy
Abstract
This paper will look at the logic of narrative therapy by focusing on 5 major points. This paper
will begin by discussing how the narrative approach defines and perceives problems. It will
address how narrative therapy views the nature of the relationship between the client and the
professional. This paper will look at how problems are solved using the narrative approach. It will
also focus on three main techniques used in narrative therapy, which will include externalization,
deconstruction and re authoring. This paper will also include a short narrative critique of the
medical model. The Logic of Narrative Therapy Narrative therapy is considered postmodern due to
the fact that it uses a story telling approach to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Kelley (1996) this process is recommended by narrative therapists because it allows
the client to begin to see where the discourse emerged from. The therapist must first just listen to
the story and determine what the client sees as the existing problem (Kelley, 1996). Then the
therapist begins to ask questions with the intention of bringing forth the full meaning of the
problem (Kelley, 1996). In deconstruction the therapist searches for answers as to who all is
involved with the problem, what past events lead up to the problem development, how the problem
changed over time, how the client has been fighting the problem thus far and how the problem is
affecting the client s life (Kelley, 1996).
Kelley (1996) reported that after the therapist has a full understanding of the problem the
deconstruction phase moves on to its second stage. The therapist and the client begin working
together to break down the prevailing story in order to map the influence the problem is having
on the client s life (Kelley, 1996). Mapping the effect of the problem is particularly important
because it lays the foundation of the new story line (Monk, Winslade, Crocket Epston, 1997).
According to Monk, Winslade, Crocket Epston (1997) typically when the effect of the problem is
discussed with the client they begin to feel as if their story has been heard. They

Examples Of Racial Discrimination In Huckleberry Finn
Racial discrimination can be best defined as treating someone unfairly based on their race. The
American social issue in the story Adventures of Huckleberry Finn , by Mark Twain, is racial
discrimination. This story takes place along the mississippi river during the 1830 s, a time where
racism was very strong in the south. African Americans during that time period were treated very
poorly just because of their skin. The social issue of racial discriminationin this story is still
relevant today and can be seen in the articles written by S.J. Prince, Mike Snider, and Genevieve
Bookwalter. S.J. Prince in his article, WATCH: Man in Wheelchair Assaults Man in Airport for

against the racial discrimination and the fact that she was colored also contributed to her being
fired. Robinson s role was not supposed to be terminated until September, but according to her,
she was fired early because she was African American. This shows that racial discrimination is still
a relevant issue because Robinson lost her job a couple early all because of the color of her

purely by the customer about the excellence or superiority of a service provider s performance

be the most effective form of customer loyalty; with 59% of consumers admitting to utilizing a

This is as a result of the promise/proposition the brand provides that specific service to a set of

person on YouTube they have all consumed you and also how you live in your daily life. Our
generation of teenagers/young adults are becoming more and more lazy and dependent on
technology so there is no telling how much more lazy the next generation will be. I think
technology has made our generation of teens more ignorant, greedy, and lazy. As my parents
always say well when I was a kid we didn t have all those little fancy cell phones, televisions with
1000 channels or high tech computers back then all we had was a bike, ball, and our
imagination. And I ll just roll my eyes even though I know for a fact that each generation is just
fading more and more and depending on technology way too much. I wouldn t be surprised if
soon, people made chairs that will hover around to get a drink from the fridge or to take you to
and from the rooms in the house so they don t have to get up and walk to do simple tasks.
Technology is taking over our world and no one is realizing this. Computers and cell phones are
good tools for everyone to use, but it doesn t need to be used for every little thing. Technology
can be useful it many ways like curing cancer or school work. It should be used is as a tool or for

Crossover between the Occult and Spiritualism
Crossover between the occult and spiritualism.
The differences between spiritualism, occultism and the supernatural are very slight and subtle
but are necessary to be able to distinguish between people s beliefs. To be able to understand what
supernatural is, we first need to establish what natural is. Natural refers to the physical world,
where things will happen and plausible and realistic explanations for these things may be given.
The occultist world does not refer to magic or actions that happen within the realm of plausibility
or affairs that happen as a result of natures laws. Magic tricks created by illusionists, such as
Derren Brown or David Blaine, do not count as supernatural magic as the performers themselves say
it is just about practicing an art form and fooling an audience. The supernatural refers to anything
beyond natural, or the realm of belief. A small feature of this that seems to complicate the situation
is that nobody has found a universal definition of what natural is. The word supernatural is quite
often used in the same context as paranormal. The difference between spiritualism and occultism is
that with spiritualism it is a belief that when people die they become spirits and they can
communicate with the living, generally through a medium of some sort. Occultism is to; simply
put The New Age Movement has definitely popularised these new systems of belief; the occult is

The Best Days Of My Life
I have lived in Columbia for all my life. I have lived in two different houses in a matter of
fourteen years. There are some days that I want to forget because I hated what I did that day,
also, there are some days in Columbia that I will never forget. For example, the day I moved was
one of the best days of my life because now I don t need to share a room with my brother. Also,
seeing all the stuff we have had in his garage that we have had for 14 years. When I was looking
at all those stuff it reminded me how special our old house was. One of my personal favorites
was when I was in 5th grade. At my school we had something called Safety patrol, and that is
where we come before and after school to tell the K 4 to stop running and to walk to the
playground or the bus. Usually, after school, I would go to my aunt s work and it would be the
best time. I got to see all the different things she does. She gets to see people at the hospital,
which I got to do 1 time and the patient was the nicest in the world. She gave me 10 dollars to
buy food of my choice and I got a cheeseburger and fries for lunch. Since my aunt and my mom
work at the hospital usually after about 20 minutes I would go over to my mom s office and go
and finish my homework. Then I and my mom would go home. this really reflected on my life
because after going home I learned that even though people are not as safe as other people we
can still help them in certain ways. Moving is also one of my favorite things, but the main
reason is changing schools. I changed from Lange to Gentry. When I first heard we were
moving I was so mad because at Lange I had so many. Friends that I never wanted to forget but I
only knew about 3 5 people at gentry so it was scary for me. The first week of school I had to go
to my friend Charlie s house because at the time we had not moved to into our new house.
During school, it was a shock to me because at the time I did not know that Gentry and Lange
look the same so, during the first day, I knew every single room from up to down. When I got

Gilda Gender Roles
Discussing two films (Iron Man, Knocked Up and/or Gilda) how are the concepts of gender and
social scripts represented? When there is a shift in ideology, does representation or symbols of
gender change? How do (or not) symbols reflect the ideology of gender? How are those outside of
established gender roles portrayed? What stereotypes are reinforced?
Both Knocked Up and Gilda provide examples of the ideologies depicting certain social gender
roles. Hall describes representation as an important aspect to how movie messages are connecting to
cultures through meaningful language. One way to check if equal representation is apparent in
movies is through the Bechdel Test. In order for the movie to pass this test, it must include at least

The language used in this movie was a little outdated in comparison to Knocked Up but relevant to
the time period shown. I believe that this movie failed the Bechdel test. This is because Gilda is
one of the only women portrayed in the film other than her maid. In addition, this movie does not
have the traditional ending of the femme fatal s death. During the 40 s women were inspired by
Gilda. Gilda was witty, manipulative, and beautiful, an aspiration to women during this time. She
was the strong independent women that could do a man s job. However, this was not the case for
most women during this time. For example, since Gilda was a woman the men portrayed in the
movie mostly controlled her. Even though she tried to break out of this gender role, by dancing with
other men and performing song with them, she was still considered Ballin s property. Jonny

Play Vs A Christmas Carol
Audio or Play?
The Christmas Carol is an exciting tale about an old greedy miser that gets visited by three
christmas spirits Past,Present, and Future. In class,we listened to the audio version and we also
read the play. Each person got to read a part in the play if they wanted. Then we would listen to the
audio. The play version of A Christmas Carolis better than the audio because I can visualize the
characters, imagine the actions, and hear the tone of voice.
One reason that the play is much better than the audio is,can visualize the characters in my mind.
the play includes descriptive words that help me to visualize the characters. At the very beginning
of the play Marley is introduced as, ancient;awful, dead eyed, found on page 776. Later when
Scrooge is portrayed as, shrivels his cheeks, stiffens his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When we read in class, each person is a different character in the play. In the audio, one man reads
the play as every character. This can get very confusing at times when there are several characters
in a scene.Like when people were selling Scrooge s things in the future.I misinterpeted the audio so
I had to read the play to understand what was happenning.
Now, some might say that the tone of voice in the audio can help you understand better than
reading the play aloud. That s not true, if you don t understand what is being said you can t
reread it because it s an audio. Also, you can t follow along with the words because it s an audio. If
you get mixed up, you will be completely lost. All in all the play would be a better way to go when
learning about the famous Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol because one can visualize
characters, imagine actions, and imagine the tone of voice. Each of these elements make the story
more understandable. These are the reasons why the audio version of a christmas carol is not as
good at the play. But if you ask me, I like the Muppet movie over both of

Lean Supply Chain Is A Catalyst For Enhancing Product...
In a constantly evolving market, companies must maintain the mindset of continuous improvement
and they must focus on speed, efficiency and customer value to be competitive (Cudney Elrod,
2011). Applying lean concepts goes beyond having a better product than competitors; it s the
supply chains ability to create end to end value for the organization and customer. Therefore, for
the supply chain to provide organizational success collaboration with all users is critical because
effective communication can clearly address expectations and align everyone to work towards a
joint goal for mutual success (Jasti Kodali, 2015). Lean supply chain is a catalyst for enhancing

Lean Tools and Techniques
Why Focus on Lean Supply Chain The purpose of supply chain management is to manage the flow
of goods and services from the procurement of raw material to the point of consumption.
Furthermore, it deals with the storing of material, production, and distribution of a product that will
maximize customer value and give a company a competitive advantage of the competition.
Applying lean gives a company the ability to focus on constraints in the system that inhibit efficient
product flow, eliminate waste and improve productivity and quality. For this to be successful its
imperative companies seek to include suppliers, distributors and logistics into the process because
lean requires integration, coordination and collaboration across the organization and throughout the
supply chain (Agus Hajinoor, 2012). As a result of increased transparency, companies will be more
focused on performance and this will create a collective effort to reduce cost by eliminating waste
and increasing productivity. Beyond the efforts to eliminate waste lean looks to incorporate
customer value from the customers perspective. Simply, everything that is being done that ensures
customer satisfaction is a value added step and any activity that fails to achieve customer
satisfaction, which is something their willing to pay for, is a non value added step and should be
eliminated from the process. By simply knowing the process and eliminating

The Importance Of Plagiarism In College Students
In short: Don t do it. But in truth, that is not good enough.
I have assigned and graded or had graded by TA s tens of thousands of bits of writing by college
students over the years. A lot of my friends are teachers. My wife is a teacher. I ve seen it all. If
you are a student trying to avoid getting caught plagiarizing, I can help you.
You need to know the following three things. These facts will save you from getting tossed out of
college or having a mark on your high school record.
1) Teachers hate plagiarism more than they hate stepping on puppies and kittens. If there are two
students in a class, and one has plagiarized an assignment and one has crushed some puppies and
kittens, and the teacher only has time to turn one of them it to the administration, they ll turn in the
plagiarizer.
2) There has almost never been a case where a student was proved to have plagiarized something
(by matching the original to the student s paper) where the plagiarism wasn t already blindingly
obvious to the teacher to begin with. In other words, when you plagiarize something, it is always
spotted immediately. If some other student tells you that they got away with it, they are lying to
you (like House says, people always lie) or the teacher chose to not turn them in. Yet.
Given this, you should understand that plagiarism is never a good strategy for improving your
grade. Just don t do it.

Essay about Illegal Aliens Have the Right to Healthcare
Everyday people are sent to the hospital. Not only are they in fear of losing their life but also in
fear of being in debt due to the prices of health care treatment they need. But what if this patient
happens to be an illegal alien? What if the patient has a foreign illness that needs to be cured so it
does not spread? Should healthcare providers continue to provide (s) he with treatment even if they
cannot pay? Or should illegal aliens be treated just like any other patients by having a right to
health care?
Illegal aliens are net consumers of public services and they contribute to economic growth
(Immigrants Economic Contributions, 2009). Since 1990, immigrants have contributed to job
growth in three main ways: They fill an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What the illegal aliens want are jobs that will potentially give them a higher wage in comparison to
the country they came from. To effectively weigh whether providing health care to immigrants
should be considered a right or privilege, one would have to consider how much they contribute to
economic growth. A Pew study from last year showed that undocumented immigrants add 600,000
to 700,000 new consumers to the economy every year. Since consumption makes up 70 percent of
economic activity in the U.S., this is important (and of course, more consumption means more sales
tax revenue). Immigration is also expected to account for one forth of the Census Bureau s
estimated labor force growth through 2012. Some economic estimates gauge that undocumented
immigrants contribute $22 billion, in total, to the economy each year a number that would increase
if they were given the opportunity to become legal (Karvounis, 2007). This evidence suggests that
illegal aliens are actually giving back to the nation by doing all of the dirty, low income jobs and
are only using approximately $11 billion in health care and they are contributing about $22 billion a
year to the economy. Although these illegals only using half of what they give, they contribute
more then what they use.

Political Criticism Of Dracula
The interpretation of Stoker s vampire novel can be made from a political perspective. Stoker
novel is in respond to the political threat represented by the monster dracula. Stoker paints the
character of dracula to bring out the features of a colonizer who is yearning to spread his power
and authority beyond his home territory (England) with the objective of controlling other
domains. Certainly, it could be said that his his control of his own castle is waning fast. It is for

Though not shown in a straightforward way, the interconnectedness of these themes can be
traced to illustrate how the theme of rebellion is developed. This novel was published during an
era when women were suppressed and the community was struggling with other social problems
like homosexuality. Interestingly, Britain was at a phase when vigorous social changes were at
their peak. In the light of these vigorous changes, homosexuals could not help but express their
sexual frustration. In his novel, Stoker s presentation of the new woman , who is sexually active,
powerful and dominating, mocks the female suppression in that era. This indicates rebellion.
Conclusively, the homosexual symbolism presented in the novel could be considered as a way
for Stoker to relieve the guilt of his inability to help a dear friend, Oscar Wilde. Many hidden
incidents of rebellion were presented in this novel. It is with the help of a critical mindset that one
may discern many instances of rebellion in characters in the novel and in the author as

Teens Should Have After School Jobs
Why Teens Should Have After School Jobs. When teens go into high school, they come to the
point where getting a job is an opportunity. Most teens have parents that will push them to get a
job as soon as they turn sixteen. Most non fast food jobs only hire eighteen year olds. This causes

Additionally King Duncan has been a good King that is well liked by everyone, and Macbeth

Basic Crisis Intervention Theory
Critical Incident The critical incident I will be discussing is a house fire that occurred recently in
my neighborhood. The owner of the home Samantha was sleeping downstairs on the couch and
was able to get out of the fire with minor injuries. Unfortunately, the Samantha s boyfriend was
sleeping upstairs and died in the fire. This tragic event not only took Samantha s home but her
loved one and possessions. I have selected the Basic CrisisIntervention Theory because I believe it
fits best with this crisis.
Basic Crisis Intervention Theory Basic crisis intervention theory focuses on individuals who are
suffering a loss (James Gilliland, 2017). In this case, Samantha has lost her loved one and her
home. She is suffering several losses at one time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During this time of disequilibrium, an individual becomes vulnerable to deterioration (Lewis
Roberts, 2001). There are four stages that occurs when individuals are in a state of emotional
disequilibrium, which are disturbed equilibrium, brief therapy or grief work, working through the
grief, and restoration of equilibrium (James Gilliland, 2017). It is essential to guide Samantha
through her crisis by working on her grief and restoration and balance of her emotional equilibrium.
Crisis Intervention
In basic crisis intervention theory, the client s behavior and response to the crisis is normal and
only temporary (James Gilliland, 2017). The grief behaviors that the client may display are
preoccupation with loss, identification with the lost one, guilt and hostility, disorganization in daily
routine, and somatic complaints (James Gilliland, 2017). It is critical for the counselor to work
with Samantha through her grief behaviors and implement an intervention. There is a 7 stage crisis
intervention model that Samantha will progress through as she continues counseling. The first
stage is to plan a Biopsychosocial and lethality danger assessment

Wealthier people have more opportunities using their money. For example, Marchione (2015)
states, Wealthy people can better afford the tests and travel to get on more than one transplant
center s lists (p.5). These events are something that an individual in the lower class can not do.
Even if a poor patient has a more serious condition, the wealthier patient can take the availability
of that organ away. Also, according to Marchione (2015), Multiple listed patients are more likely
to get a transplant and less likely to die, a recent study shows (p.1). This is stating that patients
who are on more lists are getting their needed organs, making the organs availability for the less
fortunate go down. Selling organs also creates an unfair advantage because it can destroy
altruism. Altruism is the medical term meaning to promote someone else s success, when an
individual is at risk of their own wellbeing. According to Ireland (2008), Studies suggest that a
profit based system will destroy altruism and reduce the number of kidneys for the poor from
live donors and cadavers (p. 1). This makes the act of being selfless and caring go away from the
process of organ donation. It creates an advantage for the wealthy because a lower class individual
is only selling the organ for money. Therefore, this builds another circumstance for the poor when
wanting to sell organs to needy patients. The underprivileged sellers

The Religious Convictions Of The Greeks
During prehistoric times, the Greeks had outright and unquestionable admiration for their divine
beings. They showed their reverence by putting set up numerous ceremonies and festivals to
worship the divine beings that they adored to guarantee concordance with them. Specifically, the
center will be on the religious convictions of the Greeks, including request to God and present, and
also on celebrations and human expressions, for example, the old Olympic recreations and theater.

The Olympian religion is very complex meaning that each god had its purpose to them and they

The Greek divine beings were depicted as people, which implied that they were not great. That is,
the divine beings committed errors, felt torment, and experienced outrage and had their tempers.
The religion was custom based and had no standard ministries, no progressive framework, and no
blessed/holy content or good code. Numerous researchers accept that the religion and society
comprised of stories told and made due through oral convention, which are the myths that we know
today. In the myths that have made due through the ages, the Greeks utilized the divine beings as a
way to defend anything that they couldn t comprehend or deductively clarify. For instance, when
thunder and lightning tumbled from the sky joined by downpour, it was accepted that Zeus, the
divine force of the sky, was in charge of it.
Furthermore, it was possibly a sign that he was angered with the people for something wrong they
did. In that admiration, the Greeks accepted that Zeus and his Olympian divine beings were of the

priestesses verified that the tenets of offering were being watched. They

Literary Analysis Of Nick Otten s Beyond The Yellow...
1)Nick Otten writes How and Why to Annotate a Book for an audience of students, whereas
Beyond the Yellow Highlighter is written by Carol Porter O Donnell as a resource for teachers.
Otten addresses readers, students, and you during the introduction thus identifying his audience of
students as though he is presenting a verbal speech. In contrast, O Donnell writes from personal
experience to share her methods of teaching with her fellow teachers. For example, she writes
Before teaching annotating, we ask that students . . . The use of the pronoun we shows the
connection O Donnell feels with her audience of other teachers. Ironically, Otten addresses students
and writes about teachers in third person while O Donnell does the opposite addresses teachers and
writes about students in third person. Because each article is written for a different audience, one
can gain a better understanding for the subject of annotating through contrasting perspectives.
2)The general purpose of both authors is to provide a resource that defines, states the purpose of,

Teaching Annotation Skills to Improve Reading Comprehension are both titles that explicitly state

Disadvantages Of Enlightened Despotism
Some of the traits most associated with enlightened despotism include many types of reforms
inspired by the Enlightenment made by absolute monarchs, these reforms were of social,
economic, legal, and educational, and religious tolerance. These reforms did not allow for the
question of their central power, or of the accepted social class order. I believe this form of
government to an extent could work with today s political climate, as it has been going. Although,

The impact that Frederick II s reign had on the geo political organization of Western and Eastern
Europe was his foreign policy. This is where Prussia gained this province of the West, where the
isolation of East Prussia happened by linking with monarchical states. This had made the
kingdom more capable of defense and within its territory, Prussia was more predominantly to the

Prostitutes In Ancient Athens
Prostitutes in Ancient Athens
Works Cited Missing
Ancient Athens was a highly polarized society in which citizenship meant everything. Citizenship
permitted individuals to not only participate in the democratic government but also gave them
access to all the rights and splendors of the city. A citizen controlled influence over slaves,
foreigners and most importantly women.
Athenian women were relegated to the status of child bearers and keepers of the household. There
was no room for personal expression or freedom and the strict moral code in many cases restricted
these women from even leaving their homes. There was a select group of women however who
overcame these obstacles to achieve greater sexual, economical, and social ... Show more content on

This is evident in the way that women were referred to in conversation as they were called aste
(city woman) rather than the feminine form of citizen which was politis (Just 1989: 21).
Furthermore, women s subservient status is also demonstrated in the common practice during
formal speech of specifying women by their relationships with men. Wives remained in the house
for the majority of the time and did not perform strenuous activity as the procreation of a son was
all important (http//:www.perseus.tufts.edu/classes/JKp.html). Another example of the inferior
status of women is the fact that adultery was a more serious crime than rape as it was an offense
to the husband and put into question the legitimacy of his sons (http://www.ucd.ie/~classics/94
/Arkins94.html). Perhaps the best description of the way in which wives were viewed by
Athenian men is given by Ischomachos in the Oikonomikos: Why, what knowledge could she
have had, Sokrates, when I took her? She was not yet fifteen years old when she came to me,
and up until that time she had lived under the utmost care, seeing as little as possible, hearing as
little as possible, and saying as little as possible. If, when she came to me, she knew no more than
how to turn out a cloak when given the wool and had only seen only how to the spinning had been
given out to the maids, is that not as much as could be expected (Xenophon: 7.5).

Short Essay On Bedbugs
Bedbugs may be little creatures but they are great hitchhikers, very much capable of moving from
one infected site to another. They secretly hide on bedding, clothing, boxes, luggage, and
furniture. But if you really want to sleep like a baby at night and not undergo another bed bug
war, here are some tips to keep the little bloodsuckers out of your bedand hopefully out of your
house too.
1. Make Sure that Your Bed Frame Has Feet
One of the most important things that you need to do is to ensure that your bed has feet. If it
currently doesn t have feet, you can always go to a nearby home store and purchase an affordable
and simple bed frame. Believe it or not, your bed frame will serve an important part in bedbug
proofing your bed.
2. Put ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the purpose why having a bed frame is suggested. The bed bugs may attempt to get inside
the bed bug coasters but will end up being trapped inside. Once the bedbugs are inside, they can no
longer climb up the bed frame. Choose the bed bug coasters that contain compartments because you
can track where bed bugs are coming from or how they go up from the ground and hide under the
sheets.
3. If Possible, Move Your Bed Away from Walls or Furniture
This tip is not always possible for every homeowner as some are living in a small space. So,
depending on the size of your room, you can opt to position your bed away from the wall or the
furniture. If you can also put it away from anything that touches the bed, it would be much better.
The reason is simple: these walls or furniture linked to the bed is giving bed bugs a way to cross
and reach your bed while you are sleeping, which of course spells nightmares.
You can keep the bed at least one foot away. Also, bed bugs are not really capable of jumping from
the wall to your bed. So, even if the gap is just one inch, it would also be okay as long as your bed
covers do not also touch the furniture or wall around the bed.
4. Don t Let the Bed Cover Touch the Floor or

The Debate Of Women s Military Combat
Ilyssa Train
Professor Loving
UGS303

Women in Combat
The debate of whether women should participate in military combat is a controversial issue
worldwide. While the majority of the western countries, such as America, believe in the
conservative values associated with women in combat forces, eastern countries, like Israel, do not
fully support these ideals. Some believe it is a woman s equal right, some believe it will cause
negative affects on the family s life, and others believe women in combat should receive the rights
they deserve. Every individual can and should have an opinion on the matter, but how they address
the issue can vary.
The concept of women in combat is an uncommon idea that can be traced all the way ... Show more

Depending on how history is interpreted, every person will have a different opinion on what they
believe to be correct.
America has countless means of support, including the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of
Rights, that declare equal rights on all citizens, or in other words, women in combat. There are two
sides of feminism relating to women in combat. One side describes the feminists who believe the
idea that women can and should do anything men can do (Ruby). So, if women can be anything
they want to be such as heads of nations, captains of industry, astronauts, and surgeons, then they
should be allowed to fight in combat (Ruby). The alternate feminist approach based on gender
equality, which states women should be allowed to participate in military combat, is a fundamental
idea not only in this article, but also to feminists everywhere. The idea feminists believe is not that
women should do everything men do, but to decide what activities we want humans to do, to be
involved in, to value and then work toward equality in those areas (Ruby). The idea is not that
women should go into military combat to be more masculine and violent, but to go in because they
have the right to defend their country, just like men can. Some say they are shocked to hear about
or see women taking an aggressive role in combat, women coming home from Iraq with
amputations and other severe combat wounds, and women coming

Everyone Is Chasing The American Dream
In an age where reality television is the way to become a break out star, Nathanael West s The
Day of the Locust seems to be an accurate precursor of what would be to come. In the novel,
everyone is chasing the American Dream, which sells the illusion that anyone can make it all
they have to do is go to Hollywood. When the novel begins, the reader is not immediately aware
of the fact that everything is taking place in Hollywood. The story begins with imagery of war
and Tod Hackett hearing [t]he groan of leather mingled with the jangle of iron and over all beat
the tattoo of a thousand hooves (1). From there, it goes into the narrator discussing the infantry
and generals as though Tod is actually in a war torn land before everything is brought back into
perspective. The illusion of war dissipates when there is a shout telling the actors to go to Stage
Nine (1). From here this point forward, the book seems to be pointing at the artifice of the city and
many of the people in it. The concept that nothing is as it seems pervades the entire novel.
Everything, including much of the setting, is a façade. The characters even actout emotions rather
than allow themselves to actually experience them. However, laughter, grief, and surprise are often
acted rather than actually felt, rage and hatred are genuinely portrayed. These emotions often
surface because the illusion that the characters are fighting so hard to maintain is disrupted. When
the characters are not able to continue

Positive Impacts Of The Crusades
The Crusades resulted in a more negative way. The Crusades resulted in a more negative way
because, many crusaders destroyed muslims property, and killed a lot of them. More reasons
why the crusades were more negative was because they killed a lot of people including many
innocent people like women and children. Crusaders also destroyed many buildings, synagogues
and holy books, and Jews were being attacked. The last thing is the crusaders did things they were
not supposed to do. For example they attacked other places when they were hired to do other
things not including attacking anything, so they lied and did the opposite of what they were going
to do. So, in result with this many people were angry and the crusadescame out as more negative
than positive.
The Crusades were a very harsh and gruesome wars between religions. This whole fight/war was
all to take back the Holy Land. There are many reasons why the results of the Crusades were so
negative.
Document 4 states that Moreover, the assault of one christian people on another, when one of the
goals of the fourth crusade was reunion of the Greek and Latin churches, made a split between
Greek and Latin churches permanent . This basically states that they split up Greek and Latin
churches from each other, and that Christians were being assaulted other people.
This is important because this shows that the crusades were negative. This shows the crusades
resulted in a negative way because they were separating people and

Lao Tzu And Machiavelli Analysis
There are many indescribable qualities that make a leader. However, a leader can be interpreted
differently. A leader must ensure the safety of his subjects, however, there are different ways in
which to do so. The absence of admirable leadership leads to chaos and social unrest. Within Lao
Tzu s Thoughts from the Tao Te Ching and Machiavelli s The Prince, there are similar ideas
surrounding the definition of a leader. They ultimately explore their idea of what an optimal
government would be like; more specifically, what an ideal leader is and how they can maintain
social tranquility. Even though both authors contemplate what a leader is, both of their opinions
differ, and it is most transparent through their stance of war and their... Show more content on

Without peace, we cannot be content or satisfied. By using a hypothetical of the Master, a figure
who is all knowing, it shows the audience how government should be. The Master is all knowing,
he knows right from wrong. By doing this the audience is more attuned to hearing Lao Tzu s
points. If the Master is really virtuous as he is described we would expect him to be omniscient.
Man is an enigma. Man is something vast, complicated, that philosophers have been trying to
figure for centuries. Different minds have different perceptions. Lao Tzu, for instance, believed
that government should trust its people, and not micromanage. He believed people are naturally
good, but oppressing them brings out the worst in them. Rulers have to be humble and take care of
their people, focusing on matters that are important to their people, not getting caught up in the
affairs of other countries. If you don t trust the people/ you make them untrustworthy, (Lao Tzu
58). This statement illustrates how a government is always on edge believing its citizens are
going to do something, then they are. If one were to label someone as insane, then that person
could not escape from the idea that they are insane. If a government were to control their citizens
because they do not trust their citizens then they create a vast majority of laws, all citizens are
forced to obey. Their sense of virtue is taken away,

Time In Slaughterhouse-Five
Kurt Vonnegut s American classic, Slaughterhouse Five, is a novel that embodies various themes
and messages, such as time, war, and death. While the latter are quite significant to the novel, the
former, time, is a profound element in Vonnegut s novel, as it dictates its progression of events and
is also supported by several other literary elements within Billy Pilgrims tale. Time is a topic
discussed at length in Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut in his narration and Billy in his references
to the Tralfamadorians. Time is woven throughout the novel and has a great bearing on Billy
Pilgrim and how he views his life. Vonnegut utilized various forms of structure and style in
Slaughterhouse Five which paralleled the novel s account of time. Literary... Show more content on

Vonnegut expertly used tone, diction, and sentence structure to convey that time is repetitive
and injurious. He used intricate chronology and the development of Billy Pilgrim to show that
time is unforgiving and treacherous. But despite this, Billy s tale ends on a positive note. The
war is over; he can go home. The sky is still blue and the birds are singing once more. It can be
seen that not only for Billy, but for the human race, time is ticking and being wasted, but people
can still cherish the moments they have. They can still revel in the glory of a blue cape and boots
of silver. It is because humans are fickle. Time is fickle. Time is not a constraint to anyone as
much as it is an encouragement to spend it

Effects Of Children On Inner Cities
Introduction: Our main points are to help younger children in inner cities, help schools put
programs together, and help structure kids lives. The way we will do this is to have after school
sport programs. We also would help raise money and try to teach children the fundamentals of being
an adult through sports. Group Problem Statement
Background:
Many students every year are forced to leave school and have nowhere to go. With many of
these children in grades 1st 12th, the reason they have nowhere to go is because their parents are
too poor for them to be able to pay for them to have a plan after school if the parents cannot make
it. This has been a problem for many years and as poverty rises, it is only happening more. Many of

Desired State:
The number one goal is to make sure that all kids have somewhere to go after school. With financial
struggles of many schools this may be difficult, but with the help of each community it will not be
impossible. Structuring things for these kids now, will only help the children live a more structured
life later. It will ensure that these children are staying in better hands rather than the people they
might meet that negatively influence them. Stakeholders:
First and foremost, Parents. They are probably the most important people who would be
concerned about their children and the after school programs they take. The fact that most people,
mainly young children, are having a constantly increasing interest in sports is enough of a reason
to increase the amount of after school programs offered by these schools. Although, most parents
concerns seem to be concentrated on the safety and efficiency of these after school programs.
Schools are obviously interested in the effects of these programs, but are also the ones who will
be the most supportive along with the parents. A school s main focus would also be divided into
the general interest of the students and whether they would interested enough to sign up for these
programs, along with the safety it provides for them, and the overall effects of after school
programs. The main focus of the concern of the stakeholders in this situation is how the general
program would eventually work

  • 2. The Theory of Evolution Essay The theory of evolution by natural selection does not interfere with the Judeo Christian view of god as the creator, based on multiple sources including statements from the Pope himself. Although throughout history there are many instances of conflict between people, science, and the Catholic Church, there has recently been a widespread acceptance for science and many even say it does not interfere with the Judeo Christian view of god as the creator. This essay will discuss the different types of views there are on evolution and creation, as well as go in depth to prove how evolution by natural selection does not interfere with the Judeo Christian view on evolution. There are many different views on evolution. The first is scientific... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Akin) Galileo was a prime example of a conflict between the Catholic Church and science. He was a devout roman catholic, however a great scientist. Galileo had many contributions to the world such as the telescope and his many discoveries in outer space. However one of the more widely recognized was his support to Copernicus theory of heliocentricity. Before this the church had stated that the sun revolved around the earth, known as the theory of geocenctricity. Galileo s teachings were consequently banned by the church, and Galileo himself imprisoned. However, in 1992 the Vatican under Pope John Paul II held a ceremony to proclaim that Galileo was right in his findings and support of Copernicus. (Tracts) This shows that the present day church does not see science as a threat or interference to its teachings. The present day church actually supports science, as well as the theory of evolution by natural selection. However, although evolution is widely accepted by many Popes, as well as the Catholic Church, many things are still maintained. It is still maintained that Adam was the first human and all life originated from him. The church still says that all humans have souls. The church insists that a soul is unobservable; therefore it is untestable by science since it has no effect on the natural world, and science cannot confirm or deny its existence. • 3. Nandina Research Paper Nandina (Nandina domestica) is also known as heavenly bamboo, although it has no relation to the bamboo plant. It takes the nickname from the fact that its foliage bears an uncanny resemblance to that of bamboo plants. Found in United States Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 6 through 9, nandina is a woody shrub with year round interest. It bears flowers in the spring and berries in the fall when its foliage turns red, gold and orange. In warmer climates it is evergreen. One of the most important aspects of nandina care is annual pruning. Time Frame Nandina produces flowers in late spring or summer, which make way for green berries. These ripen to a striking red color in autumn and remain on the plant throughout fall and sometimes through winter. While spring pruning is appropriate for many shrubs, if you prune the nandina too late in the spring, you run the risk of not having berries the following season. The ideal time to prune is in late winter or early spring. Tools... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two types of tools are used to prune the nandina. Use bypass pruning shears to cut branches and shoots that measure 3/4 inches in diameter and smaller. Bypass pruners, while more expensive than anvil type pruners, make a cleaner cut. For growth measuring up to 1 3/4 inches in diameter use lopping shears. Always disinfect your pruning tools by wiping them down with alcohol before using them. Failure to do so may spread plant diseases. Strategy When you prune the nandina, you set the stage for the following season s growth. Prune one third of the stems, spaced randomly around the nandina, to the soil. Prune another one third of the stems down to one half the shrub s height. Allow the final third of the stems to remain unpruned. This staggered effect will show off next season s flowers and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Each of the six pieces has its individuality while sharing many common features at the same time. Haydn s solo keyboard sonatas show striking diversity in type and style. They often could be categorized by their style periods and each of them reflects a corresponding social background. Sonatas composed from 1773 to 1784 were intended as public works from the very beginning, with a clear conception of the taste, preferences, and instruments available to the musical public of Vienna. His early works have been constantly compared with other well known composers at the time. For example, it has been suggested that Haydn s F Major Sonata, Hob. The C Major Sonata, K. 309 was written on November 8, 1777 for the fifteen year old Rosa Connabich who was the daughter of the leader of the Elector Karl Theodor s famous Mannheim orchestra, Christian Cannabich. It was composed for solo piano. The three movements include Allegro con spirito, Andante un poco Adagio , and Rondo: Allegretto grazioso. The opening theme of the first movement uses a symmetrical paragraph of fourteen bars with seven measures each. It is followed by a pair of 3 bar balancing phrases. The slow movement also adapted the well balanced phrase structure at its exposition. This particular style was never unusual to musicians during the period. It has been used by many others including Josef Antonin Stepan whose Sonata no. 57 in E flat embraced almost identical elements as in Mozart s C Major Sonata. However, Mozart made his own mark distinctively in various moments. For instance, in the second movement, there was a frequent alternation between two dynamics, piano and forte. According to Kelley (1996) this process is recommended by narrative therapists because it allows the client to begin to see where the discourse emerged from. The therapist must first just listen to the story and determine what the client sees as the existing problem (Kelley, 1996). Then the therapist begins to ask questions with the intention of bringing forth the full meaning of the problem (Kelley, 1996). In deconstruction the therapist searches for answers as to who all is involved with the problem, what past events lead up to the problem development, how the problem changed over time, how the client has been fighting the problem thus far and how the problem is affecting the client s life (Kelley, 1996). Kelley (1996) reported that after the therapist has a full understanding of the problem the deconstruction phase moves on to its second stage. The therapist and the client begin working together to break down the prevailing story in order to map the influence the problem is having on the client s life (Kelley, 1996). Mapping the effect of the problem is particularly important because it lays the foundation of the new story line (Monk, Winslade, Crocket Epston, 1997). Although some researchers argue that service quality is an individual judgement, defined purely by the customer about the excellence or superiority of a service provider s performance (A. • 17. Crossover between the Occult and Spiritualism Crossover between the occult and spiritualism. The differences between spiritualism, occultism and the supernatural are very slight and subtle but are necessary to be able to distinguish between people s beliefs. To be able to understand what supernatural is, we first need to establish what natural is. Natural refers to the physical world, where things will happen and plausible and realistic explanations for these things may be given. The occultist world does not refer to magic or actions that happen within the realm of plausibility or affairs that happen as a result of natures laws. Magic tricks created by illusionists, such as Derren Brown or David Blaine, do not count as supernatural magic as the performers themselves say it is just about practicing an art form and fooling an audience. The supernatural refers to anything beyond natural, or the realm of belief. A small feature of this that seems to complicate the situation is that nobody has found a universal definition of what natural is. The word supernatural is quite often used in the same context as paranormal. The difference between spiritualism and occultism is that with spiritualism it is a belief that when people die they become spirits and they can communicate with the living, generally through a medium of some sort. Occultism is to; simply put The New Age Movement has definitely popularised these new systems of belief; the occult is not only the belief system to become increasingly accepted, as we are constantly ... There are some days that I want to forget because I hated what I did that day, also, there are some days in Columbia that I will never forget. For example, the day I moved was one of the best days of my life because now I don t need to share a room with my brother. Also, seeing all the stuff we have had in his garage that we have had for 14 years. When I was looking at all those stuff it reminded me how special our old house was. One of my personal favorites was when I was in 5th grade. At my school we had something called Safety patrol, and that is where we come before and after school to tell the K 4 to stop running and to walk to the playground or the bus. Usually, after school, I would go to my aunt s work and it would be the best time. I got to see all the different things she does. She gets to see people at the hospital, which I got to do 1 time and the patient was the nicest in the world. She gave me 10 dollars to buy food of my choice and I got a cheeseburger and fries for lunch. Since my aunt and my mom work at the hospital usually after about 20 minutes I would go over to my mom s office and go and finish my homework. Then I and my mom would go home. this really reflected on my life because after going home I learned that even though people are not as safe as other people we can still help them in certain ways. Moving is also one of my favorite things, but the main reason is changing schools. I changed from Lange to Gentry. When I first heard we were moving I was so mad because at Lange I had so many. Friends that I never wanted to forget but I only knew about 3 5 people at gentry so it was scary for me. The first week of school I had to go to my friend Charlie s house because at the time we had not moved to into our new house. Applying lean gives a company the ability to focus on constraints in the system that inhibit efficient product flow, eliminate waste and improve productivity and quality. For this to be successful its imperative companies seek to include suppliers, distributors and logistics into the process because lean requires integration, coordination and collaboration across the organization and throughout the supply chain (Agus Hajinoor, 2012). I have assigned and graded or had graded by TA s tens of thousands of bits of writing by college students over the years. A lot of my friends are teachers. My wife is a teacher. I ve seen it all. If you are a student trying to avoid getting caught plagiarizing, I can help you. You need to know the following three things. These facts will save you from getting tossed out of college or having a mark on your high school record. 1) Teachers hate plagiarism more than they hate stepping on puppies and kittens. If there are two students in a class, and one has plagiarized an assignment and one has crushed some puppies and kittens, and the teacher only has time to turn one of them it to the administration, they ll turn in the plagiarizer. 2) There has almost never been a case where a student was proved to have plagiarized something (by matching the original to the student s paper) where the plagiarism wasn t already blindingly obvious to the teacher to begin with. In other words, when you plagiarize something, it is always spotted immediately. If some other student tells you that they got away with it, they are lying to you (like House says, people always lie) or the teacher chose to not turn them in. Yet. Given this, you should understand that plagiarism is never a good strategy for improving your grade. What the illegal aliens want are jobs that will potentially give them a higher wage in comparison to the country they came from. To effectively weigh whether providing health care to immigrants should be considered a right or privilege, one would have to consider how much they contribute to economic growth. A Pew study from last year showed that undocumented immigrants add 600,000 to 700,000 new consumers to the economy every year. Since consumption makes up 70 percent of economic activity in the U.S., this is important (and of course, more consumption means more sales tax revenue). Immigration is also expected to account for one forth of the Census Bureau s estimated labor force growth through 2012. Some economic estimates gauge that undocumented immigrants contribute $22 billion, in total, to the economy each year a number that would increase if they were given the opportunity to become legal (Karvounis, 2007). This evidence suggests that illegal aliens are actually giving back to the nation by doing all of the dirty, low income jobs and are only using approximately $11 billion in health care and they are contributing about $22 billion a year to the economy. Crisis Intervention In basic crisis intervention theory, the client s behavior and response to the crisis is normal and only temporary (James Gilliland, 2017). The grief behaviors that the client may display are preoccupation with loss, identification with the lost one, guilt and hostility, disorganization in daily routine, and somatic complaints (James Gilliland, 2017). For example, Marchione (2015) states, Wealthy people can better afford the tests and travel to get on more than one transplant center s lists (p.5). These events are something that an individual in the lower class can not do. Even if a poor patient has a more serious condition, the wealthier patient can take the availability of that organ away. Also, according to Marchione (2015), Multiple listed patients are more likely to get a transplant and less likely to die, a recent study shows (p.1). This is stating that patients who are on more lists are getting their needed organs, making the organs availability for the less fortunate go down. Selling organs also creates an unfair advantage because it can destroy altruism. Altruism is the medical term meaning to promote someone else s success, when an individual is at risk of their own wellbeing. According to Ireland (2008), Studies suggest that a profit based system will destroy altruism and reduce the number of kidneys for the poor from live donors and cadavers (p. 1). This makes the act of being selfless and caring go away from the process of organ donation. It creates an advantage for the wealthy because a lower class individual is only selling the organ for money. Therefore, this builds another circumstance for the poor when wanting to sell organs to needy patients. The underprivileged sellers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Citizenship permitted individuals to not only participate in the democratic government but also gave them access to all the rights and splendors of the city. A citizen controlled influence over slaves, foreigners and most importantly women. Athenian women were relegated to the status of child bearers and keepers of the household. This is evident in the way that women were referred to in conversation as they were called aste (city woman) rather than the feminine form of citizen which was politis (Just 1989: 21). Furthermore, women s subservient status is also demonstrated in the common practice during formal speech of specifying women by their relationships with men. Wives remained in the house for the majority of the time and did not perform strenuous activity as the procreation of a son was all important (http//:www.perseus.tufts.edu/classes/JKp.html). Another example of the inferior status of women is the fact that adultery was a more serious crime than rape as it was an offense to the husband and put into question the legitimacy of his sons (http://www.ucd.ie/~classics/94 /Arkins94.html). Perhaps the best description of the way in which wives were viewed by Athenian men is given by Ischomachos in the Oikonomikos: Why, what knowledge could she have had, Sokrates, when I took her? She was not yet fifteen years old when she came to me, and up until that time she had lived under the utmost care, seeing as little as possible, hearing as little as possible, and saying as little as possible. If, when she came to me, she knew no more than how to turn out a cloak when given the wool and had only seen only how to the spinning had been given out to the maids, is that not as much as could be expected (Xenophon: 7.5). They secretly hide on bedding, clothing, boxes, luggage, and furniture. But if you really want to sleep like a baby at night and not undergo another bed bug war, here are some tips to keep the little bloodsuckers out of your bedand hopefully out of your house too. 1. Make Sure that Your Bed Frame Has Feet One of the most important things that you need to do is to ensure that your bed has feet. Once the bedbugs are inside, they can no longer climb up the bed frame. If Possible, Move Your Bed Away from Walls or Furniture This tip is not always possible for every homeowner as some are living in a small space. So, depending on the size of your room, you can opt to position your bed away from the wall or the furniture. If you can also put it away from anything that touches the bed, it would be much better. The reason is simple: these walls or furniture linked to the bed is giving bed bugs a way to cross and reach your bed while you are sleeping, which of course spells nightmares. You can keep the bed at least one foot away. Also, bed bugs are not really capable of jumping from the wall to your bed. So, even if the gap is just one inch, it would also be okay as long as your bed covers do not also touch the furniture or wall around the bed. 4. Don t Let the Bed Cover Touch the Floor or ... Everyone Is Chasing The American Dream In an age where reality television is the way to become a break out star, Nathanael West s The Day of the Locust seems to be an accurate precursor of what would be to come. In the novel, everyone is chasing the American Dream, which sells the illusion that anyone can make it all they have to do is go to Hollywood. When the novel begins, the reader is not immediately aware of the fact that everything is taking place in Hollywood. The story begins with imagery of war and Tod Hackett hearing [t]he groan of leather mingled with the jangle of iron and over all beat the tattoo of a thousand hooves (1). From there, it goes into the narrator discussing the infantry and generals as though Tod is actually in a war torn land before everything is brought back into perspective. The illusion of war dissipates when there is a shout telling the actors to go to Stage Nine (1). From here this point forward, the book seems to be pointing at the artifice of the city and many of the people in it. The concept that nothing is as it seems pervades the entire novel.
