This document discusses how to communicate agile concepts to a procurement department. It begins by introducing Simon Bates and the digital agency he co-founded, Manifesto Digital. It then defines key agile roles like the product owner and scrum master. The document reviews how an agile contract may define terms differently, like defining user stories, sprints, and the definition of done. It stresses that procurers may not think iteratively so terms need clear explanations. It also notes that agile contracts share risk by allowing flexibility and quick response to issues. Overall, the key points are to define agile roles and terms carefully, explain concepts iteratively, and emphasize how agile contracts can mitigate risks.

Agile Fixed Price - XPDays 2015
More complex is the project more difficult is to meet the customer expectations. Let's how Scrum can streamline customer collaboration in a Fixed Price project.
How to run a project when scope, time and cost is fixed from day one? How to collaborate with your customer to have success with the project that have a lot of constraints? How to bring out the true value for your end-users?
Approaching the project in an agile way!
In this talk we will see a true story about a project that started as a "fixed all" and have been delivered successfully in time, in budget and with the true value for the end user.
The approach? Use the 7 "super powers" for customer collaboration :-)

Pragmatics of Agility - by Venkat SubramaniamSynerzip
This webinar covers the essence of Agile and provides guidance on dealing with common impediments.
Only one thing matters in software development – to successfully deliver a product so users can derive value. If we’re not succeeding with it, it does not matter what the process is called or how we do it. Agile development can help reduce risk and increase the chances of success, but there is no magic wand we can wave at the problem for a quick-fix. It takes disciplined, dedicated, and continuous effort to achieve the desired results.

Many people in Agile and IT talk about Toyota Kata, but it seems very few have tried it out for real at any scale or duration and actual cases are far between. In this presentation I will share my last 4 years of experience with Toyota Kata and especially the job of scaling it across all layers of a 700 people IT organization. How does it translate to a context where the flow of value is counted in days and not seconds? Where did we fail, what adaptions were made, what results did we achieve and why is it both more powerful and more difficult than any of us believed?

I find myself increasingly delivering "Agile" projects in non-IT areas within Government Departments. Taking an iterative approach to delivering work isn't new, the 1985 New New Product Development Game paper was used by the creaters of the Scrum Guide in 1985 and the Agile Manifesto in 2001. The latter documents contextualised delivery using "Agile" for IT projects, whereas the former was written for Business.
In this deck I have used the Agile Manifesto and crossed out the reference to software and replaced it with references to Products. This helps non-IT teams contextualise the Agile Manifesto for their use. Please let me know in the comments if this has been helpful for you.

Agile Procurement: A New Value Proposition for a Volatile WorldJon Hansen
eWorld Purchasing & Supply Conference
Day 1 - September 28th, 2010
09:30 to 10:05 AM Agile Procurement: A New Value Proposition for a Volatile World
Overview:
The procurement function has certainly proved its worth over the past few years, as many organisations cut costs rapidly to survive the economic downturn. But opinion is still firmly divided on the economic outlook for the next few years, with the only consensus being unpredictability. So would the same purchasing efficiencies be available second time around, if a ‘double-dip’ recession takes shape? Or will procurement’s contribution quickly be forgotten if a global recovery emerges instead? Chris Sawchuk from the Hackett Group puts forward the case for a new value proposition that can cope with unprecedented levels of uncertainty – challenging existing models in favour of increased flexibility and agility throughout the procurement and supply chain functions.
