This document provides a 3-step visual guide to linking photos on a website: Step 1 explains how to log into a website and select a photo to link. Step 2 demonstrates how to click buttons to select a target page for the link and set the link. Step 3 shows how to check that the photo is correctly linked by viewing the target page and returning to edit the link if needed. Throughout, screenshots illustrate each step and caution is given to always log out of websites for security.

3. Go to your website.

4. Scroll down to the bottom and log in.

5. If you logged in before on the same
computer, this is what you might see:

6. Click on LOG IN NOW

7. IF YOU DO NOT LOG IN
• The page will be in view mode, not in edit
mode.
• You can view the page, but you cannot edit it.
• If you want to edit a page, log in.

8. CREATE THE CONNECTION

9. Click on one photo.

10. Click on the three dots.

11. Click on the link symbol.

12. Click on “Home”.

13. Scroll down to the Group Number.

14. Scroll down to the Name.

• The photo is now linked to another page.
• Next: Check if the link is correct.

18. CHECK THE CONNECTION

19. Place the cursor on the photo.
Do not click the mouse.

20. The link sign should appear on the
upper corner of the photo.
If the link sign does not appear,
repeat the procedure and click on Save.

21. RE-CHECK THE CONNECTION

22. Scroll down and click on “View”.

23. The page should jump to the target
page that you linked it to.

24. The View Mode
When you click on “View”
• The page will change from the Edit Mode to
the View Mode.
• This is what visitors will see.
• The web-page cannot be edited in the view
mode.
• If you want to edit the page, click on the Edit
button at the bottom of the page.

25. If the linked page is incorrect
• Return to the photo and repeat the
procedure.
• Be careful when choosing the target page (You
might need to scroll down a long list).

26. WARNING
• For security reasons, make it a habit to always
log out after working on something online.
• This applies to your class website, to
Facebook, to Google, or to any email.
• If you do not log out, others may be able to
access your website. Strangers may gather
private information about you.
• Always log out when you are done: always.
