This document provides instructions for granting early access to assignments in Blackboard. It explains that you first need to navigate to the module containing the assignment, click the chevron, and use the adaptive release feature to set the early access dates. It then describes how to browse and select the usernames of specific students to grant access to, and submit to apply the early access for those students.

Navigate to the Module that contains the assignment to which
you are granting early access. Click on the downward facing
chevron and select Adaptive Release.

Determine the dates that you are granting early access and
enter those dates in the provided boxes.

Scroll down to Membership and under Username select
Browse.

In order to view a list of students enrolled in the course, make
sure the Search boxes display Username and Not Blank. Select
Go to view the list of available students.

Select the boxes next to the names of the students that need
to be granted early access to the assignment, and then select
Submit.

Double check the Username box to ensure that all selected
users are listed. If accurate, scroll down and select Submit.
The selected students will have access to the assignment on
the dates you specified.
