Promote your small business using Facebook Ads. Get exposure outside your network, get more traffic on your website and engage with more of your prospects.
You can spend your time and money on leased social communities like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram or Pinterest...and many companies are doing just that.
But, those communities do not offer a reliable way to communicate with your customers and fans WHEN and HOW you want to.
That's why smart companies are swinging the pendulum back to the "original" social media...back to owned social communities.
More control, more engagement, more reliability. That's the owned social community dynamic. Maybe it's time you looked into this option for your own social media program?

3. INTRODUCTION
Do you know facebook is the most visited website in the world, with well over one
billion users on desktop and mobile and still growing. As the king of social net-
works, your targets audience is almost guaranteed to be there.
Use these lessons to create your event, engage and drive lots of attendee to your
event.
WHAT IS A FACEBOOK EVENT?
The first question we have to answer is what is actually a facebook event? A Face-
book event is a calendar-based resource which can be used to notify users of up-
coming occasions. So Facebook event can be sent to a selective group of people.
Together with the details about the event, time and date of the event and images
related to the event.
What you don’t know is that Facebook, the webs largest social media network,
post to 3 million events listing each month. And these are events ranging in size
from small get together to company picnics to enormous political protest. So an
event can be anything.
It can be a party, a private or public one , a birthday party, a wedding ceremony, a
club party, a dinner party, a house party or a reunion, a charity event, study group,
a free or paid workshop, business meeting or convention, a concert, or a sport
event.
So as you can see a Facebook event can be virtually anything. There are tons of
different examples but these are probably the most common ones on facebook.
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT

name. Then fill in the location the event is taking place.
Next is the date the event is going to take place. And if you want you can provide an end date
i.e. when the event will end and the hour.

the event will be about.

7. CREATING AN EVENT COVER PHOTO
There are many ways to create fantastic images for the event cover.
Hire a graphic designer
Let him/her know all your requirements and specifications. The cost of hiring a
local graphic designer is affordable so I will advise you give it a try.
You can buy from fiverr.com, vanva.com, 99design.com. Please note some of the
images are not free.
Do Google searches, type in Facebook cover photo + your event keywords. Then
check the image section, you will see tons of images related to your event.
WARMING UP YOUR AUDIENCE
Before you actively promote your event, there is something I want you to know, if
possible post photos, videos and footages of your previous event. This will give
people better idea of what to expect and it will help to drastically increase the
attendance rate
If you don’t have any photos or videos of your past event make sure to take some
at your upcoming event in case of your future event.
HOW TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS
Before you promote your event with paid facebook ad , you want to invite few
people that you already know that might be interested in attending your event.
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT

9. As you can see you can invite your friends from the following;
• You can invite friends by city you live in. you can invite by email contacts.
• You can invite friends from previous events you have hosted..
• You can invite friends from events you have attended.
• You can invite friends from groups you are a member.
Generally speaking, invite as many people as possible. Only make sure to invite
people that are most likely to attend.
SNEAKY TRICK TO SHARE YOUR FACEBOOK EVENT FOR VIRAL ENGAGEMENT
The first thing you want to do to give your event great exposure is to share it on
your fan page and in group if you are an admin, and on your personal profile.
So all you have to do is grab the full url of your event example (see image below)
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
7
10. Then paste it as a normal post on your fan page or personal page. It’s
meant to give you something like this (see image below)
LAUNCH A CONTEST
The next thing we want to do is launch a contest. This is how to do it , type in this
post words instead of the url. It’s GIVEAWAY time! Click LIKE for your chance to
win free tickets and tell us why we should pick you in the comments. Winners will
be posted on our facebook page and in the comments of this post. EXAMPLE
(see image below)
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
8
11. so do a very simple contest that will encourage people to engage in your event
and to like your post. This will result in the following:
• High organic reach
• Free traffic so more people will automatically attend your event.
Things to consider while creating a contest
• The giveaway prize should be relevant, something that gets people excited
l ike free tickets , VIP packages.
• Don’t give away something boring like free t-shirts
• Offer multiple relevant small prizes than one giant prize.
• Its always better to offer 5 free standard tickets instead of one giant VIP pack
age.
• The more likely someone can win a prize, the more likely he is to share and
engage with the event.
PROMOTING YOUR EVENT WITH PAID FACEBOOK ADS
Give your event more exposure with paid facebook ad. To get started, click on
create ad button. (See image below).
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
9
12. When you click the create ad button, it will take you to this image (see image
below)
When on this page above (image above), the first step is to choose objective for
your campaign. As you can see there is a number of different campaigns to choose
from.
But there is only one campaign that is relevant in promoting your event. And the
objective is this one Raise attendance at your event. (See image below)
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
10
13. When you click on the Raise attendance at your event, it will take you to this page.
(See image below)
Now is the time to set up our first Ad or first campaign. The first step is to define
your audience. If you look at it closely, Facebook is asking us who we want to reach
with our ads.
Custom audience
A custom audience can be your email subscribers, your customers or your web-
site visitors, or your app users.
The custom audience is an advance tool and is outside the curriculum of this
eBook. I will let you know when I finish my research on this option.
Location
The next thing to do is to enter the city of where the event is taking place. And you
define the radius of the distance from where your event is taking place to where
your ad will reach. This is so because your event determines how far your ad
should reach. For example, if you are hosting a party, you will want to have a small-
er radius because it is very unlikely for people to air transportation for a small party
Simple and short, the more important the event, the farther you will want to reach
people with your ad.
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
11
14. Age and gender
This is a completely industry specific option, for example, if it’s like a yoga
convention, you will want to target only women.
In terms of age, generally speaking, I will leave this very broad, unless you
know your customers age group or your target audience age group. But if you
have never ever hosted any event before and you are selling tickets to the
event, I will advise to start the age from 30 years to 55 years.
The reason is because if you are asking for money, you have to consider the
age group that has the money to pay you. The age group of 30 below doesn’t
have money to buy your tickets
The age groups of 30-55 years are the working class and middle class people.
Interest
So you want to define the interest of your target audience? What I always rec-
ommend is reaching out to the audience of your competitors. So instead of
putting broad keyword, I will advise you target the audience of your competitor.
Budgets and Costs
In terms of budget, I will advise you to start with $5. Then keep it running for
the next 48 hours and watching it closely. If you do that, you will know how the
campaign is going. If its doing poorly, you will want to test a different target
audience, test a different ad text.
If I see something is working, I will scale my budget from $5 to $10 or $20. And
test small and scale later.
The other options are pretty much easy to do. I have explained the critical part
and I hope this eBook will get you started and help you in your next event.
HOW TO GET 1,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND YOUR EVENT
12
15. Conclusion
Thank you for downloading this ebook, I hope this will bring a lot of
ticket sales, and drive tons of people to your event. If you have any
question please feel free to ask me in my email address.
