Explain What Would Happen If Canada Switched To A Mixed...
What would happen if Canada converted to an economy similar to the states. At the moment
Canada has a mixed economy, which means some decisions are made partially by the government
and partly by individuals so they can operate correspondingly. Some businesses are owned by the
government and some by entrepreneurs. A mixed economy also promotes quick economic growth.
It creates a balance in regional developments. The states have a market which means the economic
decisions are made mainly by private businesses and individuals, everything is owned and
controlled by private businesses. Canadashould remain as a mixed economy because If Canada
changed to a market economy, the cost of health care would almost double, the essentials would
be more expensive because businesses only want to make a profit, and there would be more taxes.
If Canada switched to a market economy the health care would be way more expensive because
businesses only want to make money. In the states it costs around nine thousand four hundred
american dollars per person for healthcare and in Canada it costs around three thousand two
hundred american dollars per person for health care. Canada has a single payer system which is
mostly publicly funded, while the United Stateshas a multi payer. Canada provides a... Show more

The s Responsibility Of A Fund
In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most beneficent.
The root word ka fa la in arabic is derived from the meaning take responsibility of . Conjugations
can be seen in Quran in several spots. In surah Ali Imran [3:37] the word is used to indicated
Zakariya s taking responsibility of Mariam. In the Islamic Finance realm, takaful has taken the
meaning of [Islamic] insurance via mutual agreement.
The concept of takaful has been practiced for over a millenia. In theory it takes the form of a
compensation fund. Contributors pay into a fund. In the event of a covered loss, the compensation
fund pays the damaged. Such compensation funds are present in the United States where
consumers deal with professional service providers, such as real estate brokers and doctors, in
which part of the required licensing fee s are placed into the compensation fund. In the event of
malpractice, or fraud, the consumer is reimbursed. Similarly funds are present in other areas as
well, such as unemployment insurance [compensation] and workplace injury [workmans
compensation], in which employees pay into such funds and are compensated in the event of
unemployment or injury.
In theory, the Islamic method of takaful would take a similar form:
Potential Policyholders [PH] are grouped together under the concept of working together mutual
assistance [taawun]. The PH contribute an amount based on the type/amount of coverage required
and personal history (risk). This contribution

Medea And Agamemnon Research Paper
The Greek tragedies Medea by Euripides and Agamemnon share similar character traits displayed
through Medea and Clytemnestra which ultimately lead to their own downfall. Clytemnestra
slaughtered her own husband and his foreign concubine seeing vengeance towards her husband
Agamemnon for sacrificing their daughter. Medeapoisoned King Creon, a princess, and murdered
her own children to seek justifiable revenge against Jason; her husband. Both women are seen to
resemble strength and power. The two women portray a behavior unlike any other woman of their
time period which ultimately leads to their downfall. The two plays both exemplify similar
characteristics such as the role of women, passion/power, and vengeance.

is a very deceptive character. She despises being regarded or treated as a woman, yet is able to
make advancements using her femininity. She is known as the woman [that] maneuvers like a man

regarded as unnatural during the ancient times. Clytemnestra was enraged about the fact she did
not have the same regard as men. This put her on the edge to deny her femininity and overcome
the men that surround her in order to gain masculine powers. Medea, on the other hand accepted
that she was indeed a woman, but crossed the line of her feminine limitations set by ancient Greek
times. She did this to prove she possessed more

Although Enkidu was a uncivilized and beastly character at the beginning of the Mesopotamian
poem, The Epic of Gilgamesh , the presence and guidance of Gilgamesh, Shahmat, and Siduri help
mold Enkidu into grow into the mature citizen of Urek. In the beginning of this Epic, there is a
clear comparison between Gilgamesh and Enkidu. Aruru is the goddess of creation who literally
morphed Enkidu into a man from clay. She pinched off clay, she tossed it upon the steppe, she
created valiant Enkidu in the steppe (Gilgamesh 102). He was not domesticated as he ran and was
raised by animals, and had very little human like qualities. This shows that Enkidu was essentially

The Female Figure From The Narrative As A Mourning Woman
The artist depicts the next female figure from the narrative as a mourning woman. Spatially
placed on the second floor of a building, a woman crouches on the ground holding her hood up to
her eyes (Fig. 4). One can observe this as a way to cover her tears or just shield her face in
mourning. The Latin text above this scene declares that King Edward, the Confessor, has just
passed away. This female figure stands apart from the other gathered mourners carrying the king s
body. Her size is also diminutive, which could refer to her overall rank of importance to the other
figures. The artist, however, only had so much space to work in, as the drapery above her nearly
touches her head. The female figure, however, remains unnamed. This suggests... Show more

The female figure is also petite in stature to the men setting the building on fire. This was a
deliberate choice for the artist, as she is taller than the building being set on fire as well.
Caviness relates this scene to the message that William sent back to Harold to engage in battle to
save his people. The spear held by one of the men burning the house signifies him as a soldier.
While the female figure raises her spare hand to try and reason with the soldier, he avoids her
gaze. This provides a sense of hopelessness to the scene, and shows how little power women had
during the Middle Ages. The artist of the Bayeux tapestry also depicts three female nude figures
in the border to highlight scenes in the narrative. Caviness states that the tenor of the marginal
zone is defined by the fact that wild beasts and chimeras by far outnumber the bridled horses in
the main field. This is where the context for the three naked women in the borders, each of whom
faces an aggressive, nude male partner. Thus, three clothed women in the central field are
matched by three naked sex objects in the margins. This pairing of three women in the narrative
and three in the borders provides a sense of symmetry and order to the otherwise chaotic pairing
of men in various states of battle and at court. Women, therefore, fit more of a model, and a lack of

Youth Environmental Stewardship Paper
Introduction
The Youth Environmental Stewardship program is a one of the programs of Rural Action, in which
students learn diverse nature and its ecosystem directly through the camp. According to Browne,
Garst, and Bialeschki (2011), environmental stewardship, in general, is a multisided idea to make
people consider the environment with eco friendly beliefs (p.74). Also, they mentioned (2011) that
environmental experiences in childhood strongly influence and even determine their attitudes
toward nature (p.74). In the program, Rural Action manages two types of weekly camp for
children every summer with Sunday Creek Watershed Group and Monday Creek Restoration
Project. In this paper, I am going to practice SWOT analysis of the program. In particular, ... Show

It is unpredictable nature. It influences entire program because they are primarily going to camp. At
first, the program is always side by side with the possibility of unfavorable weather. Brown, Garst,
and Bialeschki (2011) mentioned that given the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the camp,
camp administrators often struggle to implement camp activities precisely as planned (p. 81). For
example, when they have planned to explore watershed but had flood in the day before the camp,
they need to avoid it because they must ensure the safety of all the participants. As they utilize ever
changing nature as teaching materials, it is inevitable to confront with furious nature. This impacts
their limited time negatively. Furthermore, when things come to the worst, they need to cancel the
camp unless they can come up with the alternative that ensure their safety and outcomes. In
particular, since the weather around the mountain is likely to vary, it is necessary to pay close
attention to it. Thus, unpredictable weather influences harmfully their activities

The Great Gatsby Task Essay
The great Gatsby Task
Rationale
With my written task I would like to explore one of the parts of the book of which the narrator
does not talk about. Those who will be mentioned in this gap will be two of the main characters:
Jordan Baker and Jay Gatsby.
Being a fill the gap kind of writing piece the text type is gonna be a short story.
The reason why I chose to fill this gap is due the empty feeling who got triggered in me making me
feel incomplete and unfulfilled while reading the chapter.
Even though the writer does explain what happened while Jordan talked with Gatsby, I felt
compelled to write something about it anyway.
Intended for people like me, my writing aims to ordinary readers, such as students or anyone who

Fire Ground Exercises At The Fire Service Area
I contemplate one of the most important training items in the fire service area that we need to focus
on is authentic fire ground exercises. Fire ground training are drills that reflect real time
circumstances on the emergency scene. Our training needs to focus towards our daily tasks,
teamwork and most of all teamwork on the emergency scene. Furthermore, in the past quite a few of
my training drills came from the International Fire Service Training Association manual or similar
resources. While I do believe these sequenced, systematic drills remain, tremendously valuable in
foundation training to establish baseline competency. Likewise, consider that real life situations do
not always follow training manuals. The purpose of the drills... Show more content on

In the Fire service, we have available plenty of basic drills we can train on daily to better
ourselves. It seems everyone is trying specialized training, which needed, and forgets to master
few of our more tedious items and commonplace Page 8b functions. A number of of these would
incorporate pump operations, hose line advancement, fire ground operations. Consequently, the
drills we do should be more than by the numbers drills, they should be operations that imitate
what we will do at the emergency scene. They should be our bread and butter drills that we must
get correct, every time. These drills must emulate what we do on the fire ground as a
department. The goal should be training that becomes a common reaction and not a focus on
what we remember as a one, two, three process. Therefore, an example of a drill that I have used
at my department for training is a firefighter calling a Mayday. This is a very commanding
evolution in the fire service today, from the low occurrences and the extremely high risk
associated with a mayday. The first part of the drill was a review of our mayday policy and the
classroom simulation of practicing the mayday. The review would contain recognizing your need
of calling a mayday, and then actually calling the mayday. I had fourteen of our personnel call a
mayday while in a controlled

Elizabeth Wein s Code Name Verity
It is hard to find that one person in the world that you can always relate too. That one friend

Wein, we see a unique and very special thing of friendship. This amazing friendship we get to see
is between two girls, Maddie and Julie. Because of their job and missions, they are both required to
have code names throughout the book. These girls know exactly what kind of trouble they would
get into if any code name was given away and most importantly, the trust they would break from
their friendship. The reason why we see Maddie and Julie have such a strong friendship is because
of the time spent between them and the amount of care between the two. Julie... Show more content

love and gay tone. But once I saw it used again in the battle field, she shows more of a loosen up,
everything will be alright set of tone. Once I had reached the end of the book, everything started
come together and make sense of what Julie was trying to say to the audience and Maddie, I m
going to go out in a bang and these are my last words. From the last time the quote Kiss me
hardy! was said on page 295, it was hard to focus on the final pages of the book because the plot
took a complete turn on me. Wein did a great job on covering up the plot twister throughout the
book that behind this quote.
It was tough to tell when Julie was telling the truth on where they are from. Before being told the
truth on where they are from and what kind of culture they grew up around, it was tough to
determine if they were gay. When a girl say s kiss me or any other affection words, people tend
to think of it in a positive sexual way. In this case, Julie is saying it to Maddie. When I girl says it
to another girl in America they are usually gay or just messing around with them. Because of not

Marijuana Use and Sexual Health How Lighting Up Keeps a Man Down Mr. John Dugan By
Mr. John Dugan Oct 30, 2013 In recent years, one state has followed another in relaxing its laws

purposes is also an ongoing topic in the media, with multiple benefits cited ranging from pain

appropriate care of the penis is needed in order to ensure that it can function properly. Good
nutrition is the first step; like the rest of the body, the penile tissue requires the right blend of
nutrients to reproduce itself, repair itself after damage, and maintain its metabolic functions. As the
body works to deal with the chemicals that are introduced by marijuana smoking, many of these
nutrients may be diverted from the penis, reducing its ability to function normally. In addition,
smoking any substance tends to have a dehydrating effect, and the loss of moisture can lead to a
dry, less responsive penis. Men can counter these effects by adding a penis health creme (health
professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) to their daily routine. A creme that is enriched with
natural emollients and essential vitamins and antioxidants can add an extra edge to the body s

The Blackfish Phase has come into play in today s Zoos and aquariums. Sounds pretty
inexplicable right? If truth be told, it s not very convoluted whatsoever. It associates with the king
or regal of all black fish known as the killer whale. The killer whale is undergoing a phase of
being isolated from today s prominent zoos such as SeaWorld, but that s not the only dilemma that
has ensued. Excuding killer whalesin zoos ,doing to their behavior, has prompted other zoos to
supervene this situation and are considering abstracting not just killer whales, but any animal that
appears to create only insufficient danger to the tourist at their zoos and also the animal trainers

Academic Performance Action Plan Essay
Action Plan Academic Performance Action Plan My academic performance goal for my Senior
year is to maintain a GPA of 3.5. To achieve that, I have determined myself to achieve as
minimum grades, two B+ and three A for this semester and for Spring and Fall of 2017. So far, I
have performed quite well on my exams and projects this semester. However, on one class I
barely passed my first exam with a 70 even though I felt I was prepared to obtain a much better
grade. Therefore, to achieve my goal of maintaining a GPA of 3.5, I m tasked with preparing one
week in advance for the exams on this particular course to achieve at least a final grade of B. In
addition to that, I found that completing the assignments even a month before they were due
helped me clear my schedule and allowed me more time to do research on internship
opportunities. To determine if I have achieved a significative progress in maintaining a GPA
above 3.5, I will join Beta Gamma Sigma on Spring 2017 and remain part of it until I graduate.
In addition, I ll change my studying technique for exams and prepare a week prior to the tests. I
will be able to determine the effectiveness of such technique if I m able to obtain at least an 80
on the second exam for the course I m having difficulty with this semester. For next year, I will
also apply the same approach of completing assignments a month before to clear up my schedule
and focus time on improving my performance on the courses I could be struggling with.

Passenger Pigeon Research Paper
At one time the Passenger Pigeon made up 40% of the bird population in America. When they
migrated their flock stretched 300 miles, and covered the sky for hours. How did 5 billion birds
disappear within 30 years? Yes, it is because we hunted the whole population.
The passenger pigeon was an average bird with a big population. This bird served as the cheapest
source of protein while hunters successfully killed the entire species. These birds never attached
or harmed others in any way shape, or form. We killed them in the sky, with nets and bullets, we
also invaded their nesting and mating sites. We killed 5 billion in 32 years date to today. Passenger
pigeons were hunted for their meat which was sold cheaply by the ton.

In this case we would use cloning to bring back this bird. Here is a diagram of how we would do
this:
As we can imagine this is a very tricky procedure and also isn t every actuate. Main implications
that would be results of using this method is that once you spoil a Passenger Pigeons nucleolus
cell it can not be reverted. This means that we are lowing the change of bringing this bird back
because we wouldn t have DNA evidence.
Although this is bad there are worse things. If this works and we release the Passenger Pigeon, it
will have a huge negative effect because it wouldn t have any predators. As things change
carnivores change their hunting styles technique and in this case food source. Reintroducing this
new food source would have a huge negative impact because the carnivores could get sick from
eating meat that they haven t had before. Also the first Passenger Pigeon wouldn t know what to
eat because they wouldn t have experience that was passed down from their parents. This pigeon
wouldn t be able to teach its young either. Passenger Pigeons could negatively impact other bird
habitats. If pigeons take over nesting sits, they could wipe out other birds in the area. There are
many negative environmental implications if we release the Passenger

Evacuation was a Great Success Essay
Evacuation was a Great Success
There are many factors, which contribute to whether or not evacuation was a success. One
major factor is the number of lives that were saved due to evacuation. We now know that if
evacuation had not taken place, a lot more people would have been killed in the Blitz (only were
actually killed). However, we also know that there were cases of abuse ( I had bruises from my
neck right down to my ankles on both sides and on my left hip all my clothes were stuck to my
hip where it was bleeding John Abbot) and children being used for slave labour etc because the
host families were not checked, and this is obviously a major failure.

Sources D and H deal with the stereotyping of evacuees. A traditional picture of evacuees emerged
which suggested that all were infested with lice and disease, had atrocious manners, constantly wet
the bed and were likely to commit any number of crimes. (The Evacuation The True Story, Martin
Parsons and Penny Starns). The government had to try to change this image of evacuees to
continue people volunteering to take in evacuees and to stop parents worrying about their children.
There was already a shortage of host families (source H), so they needed to convince people that
evacuees were not as bad as people said they were. There were also parents who were reluctant to
allow their children to be evacuated (source I). Therefore, the government had to produce
propaganda that would please both parties. Both sources D and H would probably be convincing to
both parties because they both show the evacuees smiling and they both try to correct the rumours
about evacuees (i.e. that they were dirty and impolite).
Sources B, D and H are useful for showing what the government was showing people to persuade
them to evacuate their children, and allow evacuees into their homes, in the early stages of the war.
The government wanted to save the lives of British civilians, and they achieved this. From this
point of view, evacuation was a

Benefits Of Creatine Supplements
Creatine Supplements
The use of supplements is a common thing in today s modern world, specifically in the athletic

supplement that most athletes use, which is known as creatine, and to see if it has any benefits or

Creatine is a natural generated remote guanidine compound which is synthesized in the kidneys,

One side effect that comes with taking this supplement is weight gain. This could be because
creatine allows for water buildup within the muscles (CREATNIE, n.d.). Quackwatch mentioned
that the reason for this is increasing intracellular creatine may cause an osmotic influx of water into
the cell because creatine is an osmotically active substance (1999) So it might not just be muscle
mass that is allowing those to gain weight, but the majority of it could be water weight instead.
Another possible side effect would be the effect it might have on the kidneys. Earlier, I mentioned
that athletes exceeding the normal amount recommended could see consequences and this would
be one of them. Also, taking creatine while on prescription medications can also double the effect
on the kidneys as well (CREATINE, n.d.). If someone is taking prescription medication, they must

Hurricane Katrin Disaster Response And Recovery System
Hurricane Katrina has been noted as one of the costliest and deadliest natural disasters in US
history. This paper will exam the city of New Orleans and the preparation, response, and aftermath
of Hurricane Katrina. This catastrophic event shaped the US disaster response and recovery system.
The city of New Orleans is the most populated city in state of Louisiana. Due to the geographical
location, the city was at a significant risk for flooding. New Orleans was originally settled on the
natural levees, along the Mississippi River. The Flood Control Act of 1965, authorized the United
States Army Corps of Engineers to design and construct numerous flood control projects including
the Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity, Louisiana Hurricane Protection Project in the New Orleans
region of south Louisiana ([PUBLIC LAW 89 298 OCT. 27, 19). Following the implementation of
the act, the US Army Corps of Engineers built floodwalls and man made levees to provide security
against flooding. In the subsequent aftermath of Katrina, studies have shown that the levees were
improperly built and flood water levels estimates were inaccurate during the initial planning phases
and development. As a result, when Hurricane Katrina made landfall on August, 29 2005 the storm
caused a breach in the levees which resulted in 80% of the city flooding. Over 20 feet of water
covered certain parts of the city and New Orleans was declared a disaster area that required
extensive recovery operations. operations.

Pacific Bluefin Tuna Research Paper
A single Pacific bluefin tuna sells at auction for more than $100,000 (Arnold, 2012). The Pacific
bluefin tuna is one of the most popular fish consumed in the world eaten mainly in sushi. In 2010
alone, the United States consumed twenty four percent of the tuna consumed by the entire
population. Due to its increasing growth in popularity the demand for wild bluefin tunahas caused
the species to drastically decline to about 2 percent of its original percent population causing it to
become endangered. Due to the drop in the amount of wild bluefin tuna left there have been
serious changes to the ocean s ecosystem. The Pacific blue fin tuna is one of the top predators in
the pacific oceans food chain making it a tertiary consumer. For them to survive it must feed on the

Those secondary consumers will eventually take over the ocean but will die off as there is not
enough primary consumers such as crabs, shrimp, etc. for them all to eat however. After
everyone has died only the producers will be the only organisms like in the ocean and since
there are now no tertiary, secondary, or primary consumers to regulate them they will explode in

Anger In The Angry Young Men
Anger is an innate feature and feeling that is present in all human beings. It is a feeling the leads
man to feel that he is not restricted and free. It gives one the motivation to face everything and
create his own predestination ( Grasso1).Vincent K. Bissonette believes that anger is a respond to
the injury and unfairness that the mind receives towards something (126). Aristotle declares that
anger is a motivation that accompanied by pain. It leads to the idea of trying to make the other
suffer through taking revenge from him without any reason (20). Carol Tavris asserts that anger,
from an evolutionary view, is an essential and fundamental response to existence (46). It is also the

Empire Vs Persian Empire
The Persian empire under the Achaemenid dynasty was one of the largest and most diverse
nations to exist during the second wave of civilization. Persia effortlessly exuded wealth and
power with its grand structures and far stretching conquest. In total, there was close to 50
million people, all ranging in background, culture, and religion, living under one empire. Ruling
over such a large diverse population may pose a problem for a nation in terms of intolerance and
ethnic hatred. However, Persia readily adapted to the influx of cultures. Leaders promoted various
religious groups, as well as appeasing specific cultural grievances in hopes of gaining trust and
loyalty. (96) The Persian empire accomplished a nearly impossible feat for a nation during this era:
creating and sustaining an empire with grandeur that lasted for over 220 years. This... Show more

(Funeral Oration p.34) Athens was a part of the city states that made up the Greek empire. Even
though they all lived under one empire and shared a common language and religion, each state
was independent which sparked frequent conflict between them. (99) What set Athens a part was
its use of democracy. Every citizen had the chance to participate directly in government. This
character also set them apart from other empires who ruled with kings. Pericles boasted about
this fact during the funeral. He states that their government does not seek the approval of others,
but rather acts as a guide for them to follow. Here he can be referring to neighboring states like
Sparta or Corinth, and outside empires. His air of superiority over other nations can be due to the
fact that this speech was given 50 years after defeating the Persian army for the second time in ten
years. This victory made way to radicalization of democracy in Athens. (pg.

Notting Hill Interview
In early February of 2017, my eighty six year old grandmother fell and broke her arm in two
places. Since then, she has been in a rehabilitation center called the Notting Hill of West
Bloomfield. My family wanted the best care and recovery for my grandmother. After extensive
research, my family found that Notting Hill was rated very highly for its physical and occupational
therapy, and it did. However, from the first day the my grandmother was there, my grandmother,
other familymembers of mine, and I noticed an unfortunate phenomenon that still occurs at this

In an interview with PBS, A.C. Thompson discusses his findings when he investigated a
prestigious living facility with high ratings: There was a pattern of problems that spanned the
country. And what we kept seeing were allegations and citations for a lack of staffing, not enough
workers, a lack of training, workers who weren t trained enough, medication errors, people getting
the wrong drugs over and over again. These were the kind of things that we saw, and these were
the things that worried us about the industry as it evolves. This description of his findings are very
consistent with experiences I have personally witnessed. Like my mother, Thompson talks poorly
trained staff and the miniscule amount of staff. These factors are what allow for such poor care in
these facilities that happen around the country.
In this interview, Thompson voices concern for the future of assisted living. The PBS interview
supports my claim that there is an inability to properly take care of patients in living facilities, and
that it is dangerous to elderly people or those with disadvantages. One way in which Thompson
strengthens my claim is through his use of the word pattern. This word shows how common these
problems are across the country in assisted living facilities. These problems that he witnessed are
dangerous and, as he put it,

where two prisoners are placed into isolation cells and they can choose to either stay silent or

There are two people who have been arrested and can choose to either remain silent or confess. I
first become interested in the prisoner s dilemma while reading The Mysterious Benedict Society

in the 1950s by game theorists Dresher and Flood. These theorists were working to determine the
possibility of intercontinental nuclear warfare. It was developed during experiments that tested to
see how people behaved in particular situations. The original situation surrounded two people

Whether on scales large and small, bravery is presented everyday. The disregard of fear has

innocent men and women were slain in cold blood by the state. The morale of the protesters had
fallen vastly due to the threat of death. As all faith was declining, this man singlehandedly stopped
a tank convoy. With this he resented the heart and spirit of the protesters. Even after 100s slain and

Litigation Filed For Public Interest Litigation
1.1INTRODUCTION Public interest Litigation (PIL) litigation filed for public interest. It was
started in order to protect the fundamental rights of people who are poor, ignorant or socially and
economically backward in position. Public Interest Litigation is not same as any other ordinary
litigation, it is not filed by one private person against another for the enforcement of a personal
right but it is filed for the protection of public interest. It is litigation introduced in a court of law
for the benefit of the public not by the aggrieved person but by any public spirited citizen or by
any group such as NGOs etc. It is not necessary, for the purpose of exercise of the court s
jurisdiction, that the person whose rights are violated or are likely to be violated should
personally initiate judicial proceeding before the court of law. The normal rule is that if the
personal right or interests are not adversely affected he cannot maintain a Petition. In other words
the person aggrieved or affected alone can maintain a Petition but however the horizon of the law
had been developed into a wider one taking into its fold what is called as Public Interest Litigation
1 ___________________ 1 Public interest litigation is the power given to the public by courts
through judicial activism. However, the individual or the group who is filing the litigation must
prove to the satisfaction of the court that the petition is being filed for a public interest and not for

Affordable Care Act Case Study
The fertility rate is an important factor when evaluating the health of the public. Despite the United
States having one of the best healthcare systems in the world, approximately 13% of women
between the age of 18 44 have trouble conceiving. Although the US has implemented the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act, a landmark policy, assisting millions of Americans in obtaining
health insurance, unless altered, the policy could hurt the 3 out of 20 women who struggle with
infertility. After evaluating the core essential benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the views of
stakeholders, and the state mandates, an easy solution can be established to assist those suffering
from impaired fecundity.

other states only cover pharmaceutical therapy. Some of the states who offer the use of advanced

The level of coverage tends to reflect the views of the individual state, and their constituents. States
who are highly influenced by the religious facets of society often put limits of the list of approved
interventions. In 2009 the Catholic Church stated The church has compassion for couples suffering

The Patient Safety Concern And Quality Improvement Issue (...
Falls in a health care setting are costly to the patient, the health care facility and may affect the
reimbursement that insurance gives to hospitals, yet they are preventable. Falls can be minor with
just a few bumps and bruises or they can be major which can result in death. Not only are falls
harmful to the patient but there is a lot of money and time that gets added up after a falloccurs ***
There are many factors as to why a fall could take place, but being aware of the riskthat a patient is
a fall risk from the beginning can help avoid a fall from ever occurring. Accurately identifying a
patient as a fall risk and communicating to other staff within 24 hours of admission is key to help
in the prevention of falls.

Falls are one of the most common inpatient adverse events. According to the World Health
Organization, a fall is defined as an event that results in a person coming to rest inadvertently on
the ground or floor or other lower level (WHO 2016). In 2012, the cost of fall injuries totaled
more than $36 billion. As the population ages, the financial toll for older adult falls is projected
to reach $59.6 billion by 2020. (NCQA 2015). Fall related injuries account for up to 15 percent of

Shakespeare Literary Influences
William Shakespeare, the most famous of all English writers, has written many works.
Shakespeare s life has very much to do with the style of his writing as his stories are from his
past experiences. In a very fascinating way, he had the ability to translate the issues of his own
time into universal themes. Shakespeare was of interest with his controversial. He was a
common phenomenon in his day, as he was part of a theatrical world. Shakespeare was
influenced by many different writers such as Christopher Mowe, Geoffrey Marlowe.
Transcendentalists were interested in him because he used his own issues to display actual
things that go in society. For example, one of the most famous plays of all time he wrote was
Romeo and Juliet . This love story reveals fresh depths and nuances when experienced directly
because of the beauty and precision of Shakespeare s language and his brilliant perception of
character. Shakespeare includes much comic byplay between Romeo and his friends and between
Juliet and her Nurse, thus enriching the texture of the play as its characters appear in diverse
lights. Although most of his work was viewed as universal and phenomenal, Henry David Thoreau
had less praise for Shakespeare (Wayne). Poet jones was very ultimately concerned with the lack
of religion, specifically Christian morality, in Shakespeare s plays (Wayne). In Romeo and Juliet,
Shakespeare displayed different levels of family expectations. The decisions people make

because God already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might

The Constitution Act, 1867 contained specific provisions designed to protect Quebec s distinct
culture and language (Nicholson, 2003) Canada has always given guarantees to protect the
Quebec culture, a policy would be nice but it is not an absolute must have as he portrays.
Tremblay then moves on to say, that U.S Department of Commerce would like to deregulate the
communications industry and how horrible this would be for Canada . He points out that once
this happens the U.S will pressure Canada to do the same. Yet, he seems to forget that Canada is a
sovereign nation that does not have to give in to U.S pressure. Canada sets its own policies without
being influenced by others. It has and will always be this way. Quebec is already officially
recognized as distinct, it is entrenched in the constitution. Simply put, it does not get any better
than that.
In the next part of the article, Tremblay addresses the amount of American programs on Quebec
television. Tremblay believes that the policies that are currently in place were only put in
because of a belief that the identity of Quebec is in danger. What is there really to be afraid of?
From Tremblay s own data the perceived danger is more of a myth. Nearly two thirds of all
production in Quebec is Canadian in origin, it actually increased by 4% in the late eighties.

personal experience in Child Welfare I have seen the scrutiny in the past over same sex couples
seeking to foster or adopt children. It would have been helpful for her to situate the issues directed
toward Child Welfare, for example in increased investigations, involvement, attributing being queer
to issues experienced by a child, or in fostering and adopting youth. Further it would be good in her

Essay On Cannabinoids
From time to time, people experience stress and anxiety in their life. Stress usually comes about
when undue demand is placed on the mind or body. This demand can cause you to develop
feelings of fear or uneasiness. Short term feelings of stress and anxiety can help build resiliency
and help you overcome tough situations. However, if stress and anxietyreach to the point where it
affects your ability to function in your daily life, a more serious issue has developed which should
be addressed. Cannabinoids induce varying responses on anxiety and fearrelated behaviors. Source

of anxiety and stress relief. Its presence in the body has an effect on stress levels through the

Exposing the Truth in Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong Essay
Exposing the Truth in Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong
Dear Mom and Dad: The war that has taken my life, and many thousands of others before me, is
immoral, unlawful, and an atrocity, (letter of anonymous soldier qtd. In Fussell 653).
Tim O Brien, a Vietnam war vet, had similar experiences as the soldier above. Even though O
Brien didn t die, the war still took away his life because a part of him will never be the same.
Even in 1995, almost thirty years after the war, O Brien wrote, Last night suicide was on my mind.
Not whether, but how. Tonight it will be on my mind again... I sit in my underwear at this
unblinking fool of a computer and try to wrap words around a few horrid truths (Vietnam 560). 1

Calley and Charlie Company, we find out that the truth was worse than the stories. From the facts
from the trial, we learn that there were anywhere from 343 504 fatalities and. that [t]he crimes
visited on the inhabitants of Son My Village included individual and group acts of murder, rape,
sodomy, maiming, assault on noncombatants and the mistreatment and killing of detainees, (
Col. Wilson as qtd in Vietnam 562). You might think that what happened in My Lai was the
worst of it all, but O Brien says that, Wreckage was the rule. Brutality was S.O.P. (566). Because
the war was so confusing and because the soldiers couldn t tell who the enemy was, many felt
that, the army had no solution but to kill people, uniformed or not, old or young, male or female,
proven Viet Cong or not, (Fussell 654). To me this is how some tried to justify killing but still
some just couldn t make themselves feel as if they were justified.
The result of this guilt for the soldiers, psychologically, is that some of them seemed to go insane.
For instance, at the trial, one of the soldiers of Charlie Company, Paul Meadlo said this about why
he killed; he thought that the babies and children might attack: [t]hey might have had a fully loaded
grenade on them. The mothers might have throwed them at us (Vietnam 563). For some soldiers,
their reaction was more like this:
I just went. My mind just went. And I wasn t the only one that did it. A lot of

The Impacts Of Classical Music In The 20th Century...
The twentieth century music composition gave way to more incorporation to music as it was
known. It was the time when musical rules could be reinvented, altered and in some cases
completely ignored (Hansen, et al 154). This classical music was described by many different
works such as, orchestral, solos, operas, concertos, symphonies, chamber music, and many others
(Hansen, et al 168). As stated by Hansen, et al, Some musical styles within the modernist movement
were impressionism, serialism, minimalism, electronic music, experimental music, and change
music (160). All the musical styles were influenced through jazz but it was a moment of
breakthrough for all the composers since all rules were ignored. Aaron Copland and Benjamin
Britten were two composers of that century that shaped the way twentieth century classical music
was viewed. The different elements of classical musical such as melody, harmony, texture, rhythm,
timbre, and form are what characterized the twentieth century classical music. First, twentieth
century music had taken a different approach than earlier music eras. There were varieties of
differences which started from the instruments and the sounds that it produced to the complexity of
the textures. The composers used new approaches and ideas to their compositions and broke many
rules. The composers used the instruments and electronics to push ideas of serious music into the
mainstream (Hansen, et al 169). The twentieth century was known for

Drug Decriminalization
The Alcohol and other drug (AOD) field is dynamic and fluid and is constantly being shaped by
a variety of forces (The Department of Health, 2004). Illicit drug use is a widespread issue
around the world, posturing significant social and economic costs to the health care system,
justice department and social welfare systems in both developing and developed countries
(Damrongplasit, Hsiao, Zhao, 2012). Criminal Justice and addictive drugs have been tangled in
Australia and internationally for a century or more. Ever since the addictive and destructive
properties were discover within certain drugs, officials have declared the production, distribution,
sale and possession of drugs to be illegal (Sherman Valenta, 2015). Throughout this article, there
will be a focus on firstly, drug legislation and decriminalisation with a focus on marijuana,
followed by harm minimisation Firstly, Drug related crimes take up a large portion of the work of
police, prisons and the courts (Ritter, 2017) In many countries, including Australia, the issue of
varying the laws regarding marijuana use has received growing attention in the media and the
scientific community (Lenton Ovenden, 1996). There have been many discussions made in favor
for and against the legalization and/or decriminalization of drugs. The legalization of drugs means,
you are able to acquire, possess and use the said drug without criminal charges (Clausen, 2016)
while Decriminalization can be defined as a reduction of

Disney Corporate Strategy (A) Barbarians at the Magic Kingdom s Gate*
Introduction The next big takeover fight and it would be a beauty may involve Walt Disney
Productions. By the time you get this issue, Disney s defense strategy may already be unfolding.
But it will produce no quick victory for Disney even if a white knight comes along, and even if the
principle attacker, Saul Steinberg, can be bought off. One by one, Hollywood s great studios have
been plucked by the smart out of town moneymen. Paramount by the late Charles Bluhdorn.

The first major success of this division was Seal Island, a nature film that won an Oscar in 1949.
Also in 1949, Disney formed a music company to create, produce and maintain control over the
music and songs featured in Disney productions but often performed by famous artists. Disney
later moved into live action features with Treasure Island in 1950. Disney continued to innovate
in the live action format by combining animation with live action in the film Mary Poppins. As
Disney s film library had grown, Disney brought distribution in house with the formation of
Buena Vista Distribution Co., in 1953. In films, Disney kept costs low by developing its own
talent pool. For cartoon features, characters were infinitely reusable and never required a salary,
while for live action features, Disney shied away from using well known and expensive talent.
Audiences were drawn because of the reputation Disney had established for providing quality,
reliable, and predictable family entertainment. In the early 1950s, Disney was quick to recognize
the growing medium of television to provide new outlets for Disney characters with The Wonderful
World of Disney first airing in 1953 and The Mickey Mouse Club in 1955. Disney s television
productions both the long running shows and features were quite successful. During the same time,

Analysis Of The Little Mermaid
This story is not so fairytale like if we realize that the magical element is actually an unplanned
cause for the little mermaid s death. There is dramatic irony in this excerpt, which leads to the
unlikely fairytale ending. The fairytale can also be called a parody of conventional fairytales
hidden as one itself. In an essay by Vladimir Propp, he explains how when the ending turns out to
be tragic, the expectations of the readers are reversed (Propp 79). The parody and irony led to a
somewhat of a contradiction between a fairytale and a sad lovestory. However, the difference
between a traditional fairytale and the little mermaids ending, I believe allows for a sense of tragedy
for the readers.
Andersen s, The Little Mermaid title might have hid as a children s story, but the context is
written more for adults. In the article written by Lauren Duca, Duca explains how Disney s
adaptation was made in a different light. Disney s writers wanted children to view adventures in
a positive light and allow for children to go off the beaten path. These films are almost a right of
passage. It s a way for kids to process difficult things in the world. There are always light
moments along with the dark. To me, it s sort of a nice contrast (Duca). The reworking of the story
changed the end to make the story more children appropriate. In the original stories ending, the
main character receives no love, and this lack of development can upset children, because all
children want to

The Statute Of Frauds Act
Statute of Frauds Analysis
The Statute of Frauds acts as a sort of life insurance for permanent or relatively long term
agreements. The portion of the Statute examined herein deals solely with transfers of real property
other than a lease of less than one year s duration and the argument is made that the Statute should
be extended to include leases less than one year s duration despite the additional required time,
effort and cost. Issues of trespassing, neglect, adverse possession and disputed arguments of sale
are identified and the effects of the notions are analyzed though the lens of the Statute s
expectations and requirements for viability. The effects of this specific portion of the Statute of
Frauds will be examined in regards ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The levels of severity attributed to these processes would be variant based on the use of the property
, the duration and severity of neglect and the reason for the neglect. It does not seem reasonable
that the owner of a property would allow their asset to fall to such a state as described above,
and in the absence of the Statute of Frauds, this neglect may occur with increased regularity,
accidentally. If there were to be an unspoken dispute over who owns the land, a dispute where in
the parties associated were not aware of a dispute (sincere verbal transfer of real property
received insincerely, or vice versa), the property may fall to neglected because each party
believe it was the responsibility of the other party to maintain. Similarly, if a property were to
exist without a building or structure, but simply became overgrown so that massive landscaping
or renovation would be required to make the property workable or buildable again because of an
unnoticed property dispute, the owner of a property would suffer if he ever decided to renovate
the property to its optimal condition or sale or use. The Statute of Frauds For transfers of real
property other than a lease of less than one year s duration protects the earth from abuse, and though
instances may be uncommon, it helps better preserve her for the use and enjoyment of future
generations.

Persuasive Essay About Being Gay
Hey Shelby, I have to tell you something but I honestly don t know how to say it. James what is

accepting my own self and reality, and coming to terms with who I really am. I ve tried to deny
it, date girls and just prove that I was straight, but I was tired of lying to myself and others. Being
gay has always been frowned upon in today s society and it is a sad reality. I have finally come
to terms with who I am, and this is me! I am gay! Growing up as a gay male has been a hard thing
in today s society. Due to the unfortunate circumstances that happened in Orlando and knowing that
being gay isn t the new cool ; people have a hard time coming outbecause they don t want to be a
minority. This is exactly what happened to me. I am 16 years old and I have always known
about my sexuality. I tried to cover up my sexuality by dating girls, and denying it to my friends,
family, and myself. I wanted to tell people, but I know that some people wouldn t like the reality of
me being gay. People like my parents, or some of my friends would have a problem with me being

Professional Identity and Stewardship: Leadership Interview

discussion in which four questions was asked to Mr. F. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the
information received from his responses to the four questions raised about his role as a clinical

F, it is important that leaders exercise professional advocacy and authenticity as well as power and
influence when working with co workers because first, all leaders need to be advocates for their
patients and staff members. By doing so, they demonstrate support to their patients and staff
members, which create a good impression in the nursing profession. Second, authenticity can
impact not only the nursing workforce and the profession but also the healthcare delivery
system and society as a whole. He added that as a leader, being authentic to your co workers is
vital to keep a positive work environment, which can decrease high turnover rates and nursing
shortages. Third, the definition of power is different for everybody. For Mr. F, power is a
control on individuals whether it is as a co worker or as a leader. According to Green (1999), an
effective leader tends to use power in a subtle, mindful form that reduces rank differences and
prevents threats to the person s dignity. Lastly, Mr. F believes that influence is a necessary
component to be an effective leader because when leaders influence their team members, they will
quickly endorse and implement decisions that the leaders view required for the workplace. Then, he
added that leadership does not exist without

She was the last of 10 children and was born near Mainz in Germany in 1098. Hildegard von
Bingen was a mystic woman that stood out from the rest, during her infant years she had said that
God had come to her, but she was too young to express it. By eight years old she took on the
spiritual life, and by fifteen she became a nun and vocalized her experiences and visions to others.
In doing so, Hildegard von Bingen removed herself from marriage, motherhood, and traditional

Research Paper On Drag Racing
Drag racing is a form of motor racing sport that involves the use of automobiles and motorcycles
that are specifically manufactured for the purpose of racing. The competitors usually aim at
becoming the first one to cross the finish line and, therefore, be declared the winners of the race.
This sporting raceinvolves competition where the participating automobiles or motorcycles follow
a straight but short course from a standing start. The course is usually 402 meters in length and
can in some cases take the shape of a circle. The sport relies heavily on electronic timing in
determining the winner of the race. As noted by Caudill, drag racingoriginated in the USA. The
sport was for the first time practiced in Southern California in 1940. As Wally notes, drag racing

  • 2. Explain What Would Happen If Canada Switched To A Mixed... What would happen if Canada converted to an economy similar to the states. At the moment Canada has a mixed economy, which means some decisions are made partially by the government and partly by individuals so they can operate correspondingly. Some businesses are owned by the government and some by entrepreneurs. A mixed economy also promotes quick economic growth. It creates a balance in regional developments. The states have a market which means the economic decisions are made mainly by private businesses and individuals, everything is owned and controlled by private businesses. Canadashould remain as a mixed economy because If Canada changed to a market economy, the cost of health care would almost double, the essentials would be more expensive because businesses only want to make a profit, and there would be more taxes. If Canada switched to a market economy the health care would be way more expensive because businesses only want to make money. In the Islamic Finance realm, takaful has taken the meaning of [Islamic] insurance via mutual agreement. The concept of takaful has been practiced for over a millenia. In theory it takes the form of a compensation fund. Contributors pay into a fund. In the event of a covered loss, the compensation fund pays the damaged. Such compensation funds are present in the United States where consumers deal with professional service providers, such as real estate brokers and doctors, in which part of the required licensing fee s are placed into the compensation fund. In the event of malpractice, or fraud, the consumer is reimbursed. Similarly funds are present in other areas as well, such as unemployment insurance [compensation] and workplace injury [workmans compensation], in which employees pay into such funds and are compensated in the event of unemployment or injury. In theory, the Islamic method of takaful would take a similar form: Potential Policyholders [PH] are grouped together under the concept of working together mutual assistance [taawun]. Medeapoisoned King Creon, a princess, and murdered her own children to seek justifiable revenge against Jason; her husband. Both women are seen to resemble strength and power. For the sake of Iphigenia, Clytemnestra it is only right to serve justice upon her daughters behalf and feels she treated her husband the same way he did his deities. Clytemnestra is a very deceptive character. She despises being regarded or treated as a woman, yet is able to make advancements using her femininity. She is known as the woman [that] maneuvers like a man (13). Men were known to fear women who embodied masculine tendencies. The traits were regarded as unnatural during the ancient times. Clytemnestra was enraged about the fact she did not have the same regard as men. This put her on the edge to deny her femininity and overcome the men that surround her in order to gain masculine powers. • 6. The Female Figure From The Narrative As A Mourning Woman The artist depicts the next female figure from the narrative as a mourning woman. Spatially placed on the second floor of a building, a woman crouches on the ground holding her hood up to her eyes (Fig. 4). One can observe this as a way to cover her tears or just shield her face in mourning. The Latin text above this scene declares that King Edward, the Confessor, has just passed away. This female figure stands apart from the other gathered mourners carrying the king s body. Her size is also diminutive, which could refer to her overall rank of importance to the other figures. The artist, however, only had so much space to work in, as the drapery above her nearly touches her head. The female figure, however, remains unnamed. This suggests... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The female figure is also petite in stature to the men setting the building on fire. This was a deliberate choice for the artist, as she is taller than the building being set on fire as well. Caviness relates this scene to the message that William sent back to Harold to engage in battle to save his people. The spear held by one of the men burning the house signifies him as a soldier. While the female figure raises her spare hand to try and reason with the soldier, he avoids her gaze. This provides a sense of hopelessness to the scene, and shows how little power women had during the Middle Ages. The artist of the Bayeux tapestry also depicts three female nude figures in the border to highlight scenes in the narrative. Caviness states that the tenor of the marginal zone is defined by the fact that wild beasts and chimeras by far outnumber the bridled horses in the main field. This is where the context for the three naked women in the borders, each of whom faces an aggressive, nude male partner. Thus, three clothed women in the central field are matched by three naked sex objects in the margins. According to Browne, Garst, and Bialeschki (2011), environmental stewardship, in general, is a multisided idea to make people consider the environment with eco friendly beliefs (p.74). Also, they mentioned (2011) that environmental experiences in childhood strongly influence and even determine their attitudes toward nature (p.74). Fire ground training are drills that reflect real time circumstances on the emergency scene. Our training needs to focus towards our daily tasks, teamwork and most of all teamwork on the emergency scene. Furthermore, in the past quite a few of my training drills came from the International Fire Service Training Association manual or similar resources. While I do believe these sequenced, systematic drills remain, tremendously valuable in foundation training to establish baseline competency. In the Fire service, we have available plenty of basic drills we can train on daily to better ourselves. It seems everyone is trying specialized training, which needed, and forgets to master few of our more tedious items and commonplace Page 8b functions. A number of of these would incorporate pump operations, hose line advancement, fire ground operations. Consequently, the drills we do should be more than by the numbers drills, they should be operations that imitate what we will do at the emergency scene. They should be our bread and butter drills that we must get correct, every time. These drills must emulate what we do on the fire ground as a department. The goal should be training that becomes a common reaction and not a focus on what we remember as a one, two, three process. Therefore, an example of a drill that I have used at my department for training is a firefighter calling a Mayday. This is a very commanding evolution in the fire service today, from the low occurrences and the extremely high risk associated with a mayday. The first part of the drill was a review of our mayday policy and the classroom simulation of practicing the mayday. The review would contain recognizing your need of calling a mayday, and then actually calling the mayday. I had fourteen of our personnel call a mayday while in a controlled ... Because of their job and missions, they are both required to have code names throughout the book. These girls know exactly what kind of trouble they would get into if any code name was given away and most importantly, the trust they would break from their friendship. Use of weed for medical purposes is also an ongoing topic in the media, with multiple benefits cited ranging from pain relief to anti seizure properties. With all of the press it receives, there is a tendency to look at the positive aspects of smoking pot, but recent research also points to evidence that it may have a negative effect on men s sexual health. Men who experience any of the problems discussed here should see their doctor for advise and treatment. Penis health care for every man... Whether men use recreational substances or not, appropriate care of the penis is needed in order to ensure that it can function properly. Good nutrition is the first step; like the rest of the body, the penile tissue requires the right blend of nutrients to reproduce itself, repair itself after damage, and maintain its metabolic functions. As the body works to deal with the chemicals that are introduced by marijuana smoking, many of these nutrients may be diverted from the penis, reducing its ability to function normally. In addition, smoking any substance tends to have a dehydrating effect, and the loss of moisture can lead to a dry, less responsive penis. Men can counter these effects by adding a penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) to their daily routine. A creme that is enriched with natural emollients and essential vitamins and antioxidants can add an extra edge to the body s ability to restore and repair the penile tissue, leaving the penis responsive and ready for ... It associates with the king or regal of all black fish known as the killer whale. The killer whale is undergoing a phase of being isolated from today s prominent zoos such as SeaWorld, but that s not the only dilemma that has ensued. Excuding killer whalesin zoos ,doing to their behavior, has prompted other zoos to supervene this situation and are considering abstracting not just killer whales, but any animal that appears to create only insufficient danger to the tourist at their zoos and also the animal trainers there as well. The deal is that people have acknowledged this happening in many different forms. • 16. Academic Performance Action Plan Essay Action Plan Academic Performance Action Plan My academic performance goal for my Senior year is to maintain a GPA of 3.5. To achieve that, I have determined myself to achieve as minimum grades, two B+ and three A for this semester and for Spring and Fall of 2017. So far, I have performed quite well on my exams and projects this semester. However, on one class I barely passed my first exam with a 70 even though I felt I was prepared to obtain a much better grade. Therefore, to achieve my goal of maintaining a GPA of 3.5, I m tasked with preparing one week in advance for the exams on this particular course to achieve at least a final grade of B. In addition to that, I found that completing the assignments even a month before they were due helped me clear my schedule and allowed me more time to do research on internship opportunities. To determine if I have achieved a significative progress in maintaining a GPA above 3.5, I will join Beta Gamma Sigma on Spring 2017 and remain part of it until I graduate. In addition, I ll change my studying technique for exams and prepare a week prior to the tests. I will be able to determine the effectiveness of such technique if I m able to obtain at least an 80 on the second exam for the course I m having difficulty with this semester. For next year, I will also apply the same approach of completing assignments a month before to clear up my schedule and focus time on improving my performance on the courses I could be struggling with. ... When they migrated their flock stretched 300 miles, and covered the sky for hours. How did 5 billion birds disappear within 30 years? Yes, it is because we hunted the whole population. The passenger pigeon was an average bird with a big population. This bird served as the cheapest source of protein while hunters successfully killed the entire species. These birds never attached or harmed others in any way shape, or form. We killed them in the sky, with nets and bullets, we also invaded their nesting and mating sites. This means that we are lowing the change of bringing this bird back because we wouldn t have DNA evidence. Although this is bad there are worse things. If this works and we release the Passenger Pigeon, it will have a huge negative effect because it wouldn t have any predators. One major factor is the number of lives that were saved due to evacuation. However, we also know that there were cases of abuse ( I had bruises from my neck right down to my ankles on both sides and on my left hip all my clothes were stuck to my hip where it was bleeding John Abbot) and children being used for slave labour etc because the host families were not checked, and this is obviously a major failure. A traditional picture of evacuees emerged which suggested that all were infested with lice and disease, had atrocious manners, constantly wet the bed and were likely to commit any number of crimes. The government had to try to change this image of evacuees to continue people volunteering to take in evacuees and to stop parents worrying about their children. There was already a shortage of host families (source H), so they needed to convince people that evacuees were not as bad as people said they were. There were also parents who were reluctant to allow their children to be evacuated (source I). Therefore, the government had to produce propaganda that would please both parties. Both sources D and H would probably be convincing to both parties because they both show the evacuees smiling and they both try to correct the rumours about evacuees (i.e. that they were dirty and impolite). Sources B, D and H are useful for showing what the government was showing people to persuade them to evacuate their children, and allow evacuees into their homes, in the early stages of the war. Every athlete is looking for a new way to enhance performance whether it be through vitamins, enhancers, supplements, and so on. The purpose of this paper is to take a look at the supplement that most athletes use, which is known as creatine, and to see if it has any benefits or none at all. Creatine is a natural generated remote guanidine compound which is synthesized in the kidneys, pancreas, and liver and released into the blood, where after, the majority of it is stored in the skeletal muscle (Kim et. al., 2015). Creatine s involvement in the body is that it provides the energy the muscles need to work (CREATINE, n.d.).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another possible side effect would be the effect it might have on the kidneys. Earlier, I mentioned that athletes exceeding the normal amount recommended could see consequences and this would be one of them. This paper will exam the city of New Orleans and the preparation, response, and aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This catastrophic event shaped the US disaster response and recovery system. The city of New Orleans is the most populated city in state of Louisiana. Due to the geographical location, the city was at a significant risk for flooding. New Orleans was originally settled on the natural levees, along the Mississippi River. The Flood Control Act of 1965, authorized the United States Army Corps of Engineers to design and construct numerous flood control projects including the Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity, Louisiana Hurricane Protection Project in the New Orleans region of south Louisiana ([PUBLIC LAW 89 298 OCT. 27, 19). Following the implementation of the act, the US Army Corps of Engineers built floodwalls and man made levees to provide security against flooding. In the subsequent aftermath of Katrina, studies have shown that the levees were improperly built and flood water levels estimates were inaccurate during the initial planning phases and development. As a result, when Hurricane Katrina made landfall on August, 29 2005 the storm caused a breach in the levees which resulted in 80% of the city flooding. Over 20 feet of water covered certain parts of the city and New Orleans was declared a disaster area that required extensive recovery operations. operations. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The process would take many years and started long before the public knew that he would be the one to succeed Kim Il Sung. Kim Jong Il s journey of succession started in the 1960 s. When Jong Il graduated from the University of Kim Il Sung in 1964, he immediately took up a position in the Korean Worker s Party (KWP) (Lynn, 2007). As he worked with these organization, he gained experience as well as power (Lynn, 2007). Jong Il held several positions within the KWP(Lynn, 2007). There is no free will because God already chose who gets what, so there is no point in worshipping a God that might condemn you. The primary source of this essay is Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapters, 21 23 by Jean Calvin. He points out that once this happens the U.S will pressure Canada to do the same. Yet, he seems to forget that Canada is a sovereign nation that does not have to give in to U.S pressure. Canada sets its own policies without being influenced by others. It has and will always be this way. Quebec is already officially recognized as distinct, it is entrenched in the constitution. Simply put, it does not get any better than that. In the next part of the article, Tremblay addresses the amount of American programs on Quebec television. Tremblay believes that the policies that are currently in place were only put in because of a belief that the identity of Quebec is in danger. What is there really to be afraid of? It was the time when musical rules could be reinvented, altered and in some cases completely ignored (Hansen, et al 154). This classical music was described by many different works such as, orchestral, solos, operas, concertos, symphonies, chamber music, and many others (Hansen, et al 168). As stated by Hansen, et al, Some musical styles within the modernist movement were impressionism, serialism, minimalism, electronic music, experimental music, and change music (160). All the musical styles were influenced through jazz but it was a moment of breakthrough for all the composers since all rules were ignored. Aaron Copland and Benjamin Britten were two composers of that century that shaped the way twentieth century classical music was viewed. The different elements of classical musical such as melody, harmony, texture, rhythm, timbre, and form are what characterized the twentieth century classical music. First, twentieth century music had taken a different approach than earlier music eras. There were varieties of differences which started from the instruments and the sounds that it produced to the complexity of the textures. • 45. Analysis Of The Little Mermaid This story is not so fairytale like if we realize that the magical element is actually an unplanned cause for the little mermaid s death. There is dramatic irony in this excerpt, which leads to the unlikely fairytale ending. The fairytale can also be called a parody of conventional fairytales hidden as one itself. In an essay by Vladimir Propp, he explains how when the ending turns out to be tragic, the expectations of the readers are reversed (Propp 79). The parody and irony led to a somewhat of a contradiction between a fairytale and a sad lovestory. However, the difference between a traditional fairytale and the little mermaids ending, I believe allows for a sense of tragedy for the readers. Andersen s, The Little Mermaid title might have hid as a children s story, but the context is written more for adults. In the article written by Lauren Duca, Duca explains how Disney s adaptation was made in a different light. Disney s writers wanted children to view adventures in a positive light and allow for children to go off the beaten path. These films are almost a right of passage. It s a way for kids to process difficult things in the world. There are always light moments along with the dark. To me, it s sort of a nice contrast (Duca). The reworking of the story changed the end to make the story more children appropriate. If there were to be an unspoken dispute over who owns the land, a dispute where in the parties associated were not aware of a dispute (sincere verbal transfer of real property received insincerely, or vice versa), the property may fall to neglected because each party believe it was the responsibility of the other party to maintain. Similarly, if a property were to exist without a building or structure, but simply became overgrown so that massive landscaping or renovation would be required to make the property workable or buildable again because of an unnoticed property dispute, the owner of a property would suffer if he ever decided to renovate the property to its optimal condition or sale or use.
