i. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
ii. Wheezing when you exhale
iii. Coughing

i. Problems speaking or focusing
ii. Extreme anxiety or panic symptoms
iii. The inability to “catch” your breath
iv. Lips and fingernails that turn blue
v. Severe wheezing when you inhale and exhale
vi. Extreme sweating of the face, paleness

Usually occur as a reaction to certain triggers that
set the symptoms in motion.

9. Possible triggers of Asthma:
i. Second-hand cigarette smoke
ii. Air pollutants (smog)
iii. Airborne allergens, such as dust, molds,
pollens, pet dander and dust mites (allergic
asthma)
iv. Colds or viruses
v. Strenuous physical activity (exercise-induced
asthma)

vi. Foods (nuts, shellfish) or food additives and
preservatives (MSG)
vii. Menstrual cycle for women
viii. Certain medications, including beta-
blockers, aspirin and non steroidal anti-
inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
ix. Emotional stress
x. Household chemicals or odors (cooking)
xi. Weather – cold temperatures, wet weather

i. Curse self or luck or be pessimistic
ii. Get anxious / impatient
iii. Argue
iv. Take stress
v. Overload yourself with work
vi. Initiate new work / responsibilities
vii. Undertake heavy physical work
viii. Wear tight clothes

ix. Smoke or be with smokers
x. Go out in hot sun / rain
xi. Go near pollutants (pollen /dust / chemicals)
xii. Keep lying down whole day
xiii. Eat spicy / fried / oily food
xiv. Consume cold-drinks or ice-creams
xv. Eat full-stomach
xvi. Stop / skip medication advised by doctor

i. Maintain +ve Optimistic mind-set
ii. Be calm & Stress-free
iii. Consciously breathe slowly
iv. Exercise – Yoga , Blow balloons
v. Keep surrounding dry, smoke-free, dust-free
vi. Prefer open air / environment
vii. Get sunlight (mild)
viii. Go for walks
ix. Keep yourself busy / occupied (hobby)
x. Keep work light / routine

i. Wear comfortable fitting dress
ii. Speak less
iii. Take steam
iv. Keep sucking paste of honey+turmeric+tulsi
v. Have hot water or beverages (tea / coffee / soup)
vi. Have warm food only
vii. Consume oil-free / less oily food
viii. Bend forward and sit
ix. Lie down on back with head+back raised
x. Take medication as advised by doctor
