The document discusses different learning styles and theories. It identifies visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning patterns. Visual learners learn through seeing, auditory learners through hearing, and kinesthetic learners through experiencing and doing things. The document provides strategies for teachers to accommodate different learning styles in their instructional design, such as using diagrams, videos, and role playing. It includes learning tasks like reading assignments, a portfolio activity, and a project on developing lesson plans and speeches.
Many people recognize that each person prefers different learning styles and techniques. Learning styles group common ways that people learn. Everyone has a mix of learning styles. Some people may find that they have a dominant style of learning, with far less use of the other styles.

How to Customize Presentations & content to Buyer learning StylesDan Galante
Creating customer centered presentations that engage customers are essential. Previously I spoke about how to accomplish this. However, another key element to creating both customer centered presentations and digital content is knowledge of buyer learning styles. In other works, how do buyers learn best.
There are three learning styles, Visual, Auditory & kinaesthetic. 65 percent of learners are Visual but this is not everyone. In the presentation below, I provide you with ideas and strategies to
1. Collect information on your buyers learning style
2.Create presentations and content that will engage buyers with content that is optimized to their learning style making it more engaging
3. Create differentiated presentations and content for all learners when buyer learning styles are unknown.
This video is about how to learn skillfully: the science of study.
If you duplicate and apply these methods in your study of Skillful Living, you will get much more out of the materials.
Most schooling deliberately teaches you the wrong way to learn. First, you should not approach a subject because someone else is making you study it. You should approach it because you want to learn it and put it into practical use in your life. In other words, you should learn to acquire skills.
The first necessary skill in the art of Skillful Living is how to learn skillfully.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Welcome to the workshop on how do people learn? These lectures are part of Effective Teacher Training Course offered by Understand Quran Academy.
In this workshop we will discuss the learning patterns and theories. They explain how people learn and acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Quiz 1: What are the outcomes of the session “How do people learn?”
Provide teachers with an understanding of the different learning styles and preferences,
Identify different learning patterns
Define strategies for accommodating them in instructional design.
All of the above
Time 8 Minutes
Outcomes:
What do we think? Visually, auditory, or kinesthetic.
How do we store our memories? When we pull one event, all the VAK comes out. But the main point is that we pull by the thread that we are strong with. V A K.
It reflects in our recollection of the drawing.
The roadmap of expertise. Success comes after expertise.
Expertise comes after prolonged, sustained effort on a specified task. Expertise comes after the repetition of a job many numbers of times.
Success is not random and shouldn’t be considered lucky. It is a step-by-step procedure that is repeated when the situation demands it.
Example: You taught great once, then the next time, you messed up. This is not a success. You spoke the truth once. That doesn’t make you truthful.

Quiz
Why do people give up at the third stage?
They get bored.
They think they are experts.
3rd stage requires effort, and people do not want to put in the effort.
None of the above.
Learning is the most natural and delicate process. Any disturbance or pressure will kill the learning. Therefore teachers should realize that all individuals are diverse and their needs are different along with their learning patterns.
How do people learn and think? These questions have challenged thinkers and researchers. People have modeled assuming in various ways.
1. Left Brain & Right Brain: Some people are categorized as left and right brainers and give their respective characteristic behaviors.
2. People have divided our brain into four quadrants known as Hermann quadrants; each quadrant has a different type.
3. Gardner said there are seven types of intelligence and hence seven learning styles. There are many more models available. We will now focus on a simple one.
What are the characteristics of the right brain?
What are the characteristics of the left brain?
A comprehensive view of the various learning theories and their respective areas of implementation.
theories of learning are ideas about the ways students learn and retain information. These principles provide different frameworks that teachers can use to adapt to students' diverse learning styles and academic needs.
Behaviorism: This theory emphasizes the role of external stimuli and environmental factors in shaping behavior. It suggests that learning occurs through the repeated association of a stimulus with a response, leading to the formation of a learned behavior.
Cognitivism: This theory focuses on how individuals process information and make sense of it. It suggests that learning involves the acquisition, organization, and retention of information in memory.
Constructivism: This theory posits that learners actively construct their own knowledge and understanding of the world based on their experiences and interactions with their environment.
Humanism: This theory emphasizes the role of individual agency and self-determination in learning and focuses on the importance of fostering personal growth and self-actualization.
Connectivism: This theory posits that learning occurs through the connections that individuals make with others and with technology and emphasizes the importance of social networks and digital media in learning.
Social Learning Theory: This theory suggests that learning occurs through observation and imitation of others, as well as through reinforcement and punishment of behavior.
Experiential Learning: This theory emphasizes the role of experience and reflection in learning and suggests that learning occurs through active engagement with real-world problems and situations.
Multiple Intelligences: This theory suggests that individuals possess multiple types of intelligence, including linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic intelligence.
If you want something you never had, then you will have to do something that you never did
Some people have right thumb on the top
Some people have left thumb on the top
This shows the mind works differently and if we change our posture, then we feel uncomfortable. Therefore, we should not imitate other blindly.
Interesting exercise.
This one image gives you different answers from different people.
Some say they see pink
Some say they see sea green and grey
Think why different answers?
Visual – what you see, pictures, use of color and decoration, a preference for information presented graphically and pictorially
Auditory – what you hear, sounds, voices, music, being able to process information presented verbally
Kinesthetic – what you feel, a preference for touch and to experience things personally, learn well by trying and doing
