Welcome to the
digital version of the
sixth annual Hoopsfix
All-Star Classic!
It has been a tough 15 months. The world
being rocked by a pandemic has led to
basketball being shut down, and many of
the players suiting up today have missed
out on over a year of the game they love.
It would have been easy for us to cancel
this year - and everyone would have
understood - but knowing we had the
support of valued partners Nike, Foot
Locker, Molten, Sportserve Ltd, 5or6, Red
Bull and Always Ballin’ to be able to make
it happen even without the ticket revenue
we normally need from fans, meant we
felt a duty to put it on.
As I continue to maintain, it takes a special
kind of company to be willing to invest in
basketball in the UK, and all of the above
partners have proven their support in the
growth of basketball here – please, if you
get the chance in the future, use their
services wherever possible to show it was
a worthwhile investment!
Preparation has been vastly condensed;
this whole thing has been put together in
3 weeks as opposed to the normal months
it takes, but if you’re reading this, it should
mean we have pulled it off!
The Hoopsfix All-Star Classic is a
showcase of British basketball talent and
culture, aiming to recognise and celebrate
some of the country’s best young
players who, unfortunately, receive little
acknowledgement of their achievements
in their own country.
The sixth year sees some scaling down -
due to COVID-19 protocols - as we revert
back to a single day, and feature just two
games, U19 men and U19 women, along
with a 3-point shootout and dunk contest.
However, one thing remains the same;
elite level talent, with the future stars of
tomorrow suiting up.
I would like to personally thank you so
much for taking the time and making
the effort to read this and join us on the
streams this weekend – this event simply
wouldn’t happen if it didn’t have the
support of the community.
Be sure to use the hashtag #HASC21
when talking about the day on social
media, and follow @Hoopsfix on all
our social media accounts for real time
updates with photos and videos from the
event.
Enjoy the streams and content on social

need anything,

Founded in 2014, and officially
incorporated as a Community Interest
Company in 2016, the Hoopsfix
Foundation is the not-for-profit arm of
British basketball website, Hoopsfix.com.
Left reeling after a non-existent legacy
from the 2012 Olympics, Hoopsfix
launched the foundation with the
intention of ensuring basketball has some
support to reach its potential across the
home nations.
A not-for-profit, its sole mission is to grow
and raise the profile of basketball in the
United Kingdom, through a focus on – but
not limited to - projects that have a long
term, sustainable impact.
Though the work over the years has
predominantly focused around the
Classic, 2021 will see a scaling up of the
Foundation, as we are in the process
of recruiting a Board of Directors and
preparing to put in our first bids for
grants.
Any profits from the Hoopsfix All-Star
Classic go back into the Foundation to
fund future events and projects.

Classic History
With Hoopsfix.com having officially launched in 2010
- but an earlier concept beginning in 2009 - we have
records of trying to do some type of British All-Star
showcase from as early as 2011. It took a few years to
finally get it off the ground, but here is a brief history
from each year of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic.
2014
For its first year, the Classic went to Brunel University, in West
London, and featured an Under-16 and Under-26 game. Selling out
in advance, the Senior game featured a number of GB internationals,
as it pitted Matthew Bryan-Amaning, who wound up MVP, against
Dan Clark. In the junior game, it was Jelani Watson-Gayle who made a
name for himself, taking home MVP and getting a call back up to the
U16 National Team. GB’s Myles Hesson was crowned dunk champion.
2016
The 2016 edition of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic saw a third straight
sellout as the event remained in Brixton for a second year. RJ Eytle-
Rock took MVP honours after leading Team White to victory in the
Under-19 game with 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and six
steals, while 2015 MVP Kyle Carey top scored with 20 points. In
the Under-17 game, Zion Tordoff was named MVP after putting up
18 points and six rebounds in victory for Team Black. Amin Adamu
showed off his bounce to claim the dunk contest.
2018
After a year hiatus, the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic returned to Brixton
for the third year in front of another sellout crowd. Ade Adebayo
picked up the Underclassmen MVP after leading Team Black with a
team-high 15, whilst Brian Amabilino-Perez scored 11 of his game-
high 20 points in the fourth quarter for MVP honours to lead Team
White to victory in the Class of 2019 game. Jonathan Brown fought
off the competition for the dunk contest title.
2019
The 2019 edition marked a significant step up in the history of the
Classic, earmarked by a new 3-year deal with Nike, allowing the event
to expand over two days, with the addition of an U19 Women’s game,
3-point shootout, and a series of clinics for coaches. Holly Winterburn
was the U19 Women’s game MVP after putting on a show, whilst
Tomiwa Sulaiman took honours in the Underclassmen game, and Mate
Okros in the Class of 2019 game. Cal-bound Sam Alajiki took the dunk
contest title, whilst Rhys Sundimalt won the 3-point shootout.
2020
Though the 2020 edition of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic was forced
to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rosters were still
selected and announced online, recognising 24 players for each of
the Class of 2020 Men’s Game, Underclassmen Game and Under-19
Women’s Game.
2015
2015 will forever be remembered for ‘the dunk’ as Kyle Carey served
up the highlight of the event’s history so far in front of a sellout
crowd at Brixton Rec. That was part of Carey’s MVP performance
after finishing with 23 points in Team Black’s victory in the inaugural
Under-19 game. Gedi Juozapaitis starred in the event’s first-ever
Under-17 game with 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists as
Team White prevailed. 5’10” Myles Laurent-Smart impressed in the
dunk contest to take home the honours.

  • 2. Welcome to the digital version of the sixth annual Hoopsfix All-Star Classic! It has been a tough 15 months. The world being rocked by a pandemic has led to basketball being shut down, and many of the players suiting up today have missed out on over a year of the game they love. It would have been easy for us to cancel this year - and everyone would have understood - but knowing we had the support of valued partners Nike, Foot Locker, Molten, Sportserve Ltd, 5or6, Red Bull and Always Ballin’ to be able to make it happen even without the ticket revenue we normally need from fans, meant we felt a duty to put it on. As I continue to maintain, it takes a special kind of company to be willing to invest in basketball in the UK, and all of the above partners have proven their support in the growth of basketball here – please, if you get the chance in the future, use their services wherever possible to show it was a worthwhile investment! Preparation has been vastly condensed; this whole thing has been put together in 3 weeks as opposed to the normal months it takes, but if you’re reading this, it should mean we have pulled it off! The Hoopsfix All-Star Classic is a showcase of British basketball talent and culture, aiming to recognise and celebrate some of the country’s best young players who, unfortunately, receive little acknowledgement of their achievements in their own country. The sixth year sees some scaling down - due to COVID-19 protocols - as we revert back to a single day, and feature just two games, U19 men and U19 women, along with a 3-point shootout and dunk contest. However, one thing remains the same; elite level talent, with the future stars of tomorrow suiting up. I would like to personally thank you so much for taking the time and making the effort to read this and join us on the streams this weekend – this event simply wouldn’t happen if it didn’t have the support of the community. Be sure to use the hashtag #HASC21 when talking about the day on social media, and follow @Hoopsfix on all our social media accounts for real time updates with photos and videos from the event. Enjoy the streams and content on social and don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything, Sam Neter Owner, Hoopsfix sam@hoopsfix.com Welcome to #HASC21

Founded in 2014, and officially incorporated as a Community Interest Company in 2016, the Hoopsfix Foundation is the not-for-profit arm of British basketball website, Hoopsfix.com. Left reeling after a non-existent legacy from the 2012 Olympics, Hoopsfix launched the foundation with the intention of ensuring basketball has some support to reach its potential across the home nations. A not-for-profit, its sole mission is to grow and raise the profile of basketball in the United Kingdom, through a focus on – but not limited to - projects that have a long term, sustainable impact. Though the work over the years has predominantly focused around the Classic, 2021 will see a scaling up of the Foundation, as we are in the process of recruiting a Board of Directors and preparing to put in our first bids for grants. Any profits from the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic go back into the Foundation to fund future events and projects. Schedule Hoopsfix Foundation hoopsfixallstarclassic.com
  • 4. HoopsfixAll-Star Classic History With Hoopsfix.com having officially launched in 2010 - but an earlier concept beginning in 2009 - we have records of trying to do some type of British All-Star showcase from as early as 2011. It took a few years to finally get it off the ground, but here is a brief history from each year of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic. 2014 For its first year, the Classic went to Brunel University, in West London, and featured an Under-16 and Under-26 game. Selling out in advance, the Senior game featured a number of GB internationals, as it pitted Matthew Bryan-Amaning, who wound up MVP, against Dan Clark. In the junior game, it was Jelani Watson-Gayle who made a name for himself, taking home MVP and getting a call back up to the U16 National Team. GB’s Myles Hesson was crowned dunk champion. 2016 The 2016 edition of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic saw a third straight sellout as the event remained in Brixton for a second year. RJ Eytle- Rock took MVP honours after leading Team White to victory in the Under-19 game with 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals, while 2015 MVP Kyle Carey top scored with 20 points. In the Under-17 game, Zion Tordoff was named MVP after putting up 18 points and six rebounds in victory for Team Black. Amin Adamu showed off his bounce to claim the dunk contest. 2018 After a year hiatus, the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic returned to Brixton for the third year in front of another sellout crowd. Ade Adebayo picked up the Underclassmen MVP after leading Team Black with a team-high 15, whilst Brian Amabilino-Perez scored 11 of his game- high 20 points in the fourth quarter for MVP honours to lead Team White to victory in the Class of 2019 game. Jonathan Brown fought off the competition for the dunk contest title. 2019 The 2019 edition marked a significant step up in the history of the Classic, earmarked by a new 3-year deal with Nike, allowing the event to expand over two days, with the addition of an U19 Women’s game, 3-point shootout, and a series of clinics for coaches. Holly Winterburn was the U19 Women’s game MVP after putting on a show, whilst Tomiwa Sulaiman took honours in the Underclassmen game, and Mate Okros in the Class of 2019 game. Cal-bound Sam Alajiki took the dunk contest title, whilst Rhys Sundimalt won the 3-point shootout. 2020 Though the 2020 edition of the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic was forced to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rosters were still selected and announced online, recognising 24 players for each of the Class of 2020 Men’s Game, Underclassmen Game and Under-19 Women’s Game. 2015 2015 will forever be remembered for ‘the dunk’ as Kyle Carey served up the highlight of the event’s history so far in front of a sellout crowd at Brixton Rec. That was part of Carey’s MVP performance after finishing with 23 points in Team Black’s victory in the inaugural Under-19 game. Gedi Juozapaitis starred in the event’s first-ever Under-17 game with 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Team White prevailed. 5’10” Myles Laurent-Smart impressed in the dunk contest to take home the honours.
