EARNSHAW & CO. TRIPLES THE SERVICE
EDUCATE
When it comes to one of the largest ticket items in your life, knowledge is a must. At Earnshaw &
Company we thoroughly educate our clients on every aspect of the buying and selling process.
It is very important that you understand all avenues of Real Estate; negotiating, comparables,
inspections, lenders, warranties, insurance, appraisals, title, unforeseen costs, home associations,
remodeling, upkeep and more. We pride ourselves on the amount of time spent helping our clients
become thoroughly informed.
TEAM SUPPORT
With everything involved in a Real Estate transaction, we believe that having a team of professionals
is much more effective than just one agent on call. When you choose Earnshaw & Company you
are getting a minimum of three for the price of one. Each transaction is assigned two agents and
one administrator to make sure you, the client, are fully covered with extraordinary service. Our
reputation is everything and giving you great service is what we do. Just ask our past clients.
WHENEVER / WHEREVER
We at Earnshaw & Company believe there are many attributes that set us apart from the
competition. Our clients enjoy many advantages throughout their Real Estate experience with
us. Whenever/wherever is not just a saying to us. We will find a way to get it done - from house
cleaners and handymen to landscapers, staging, boxes, etc.
CANCEL AT ANY TIME
We are so confident in our extraordinary service that we have attached a “cancel at any time”
addendum to all of our buyer and/or listing contracts. If, at any time, you are dissatisfied with our
service for any reason, you can fax or email us a cancellation. We will release any client from a buyer
and/or listing contract. Contracts are only as good as the people standing behind them. We want
you to be happy, even if that means you choosing another agent.
ASK YOUR AGENT
Make an Informed Decision
Buying a home can be intimidating. It’s important to find an agent
who will work closely with you and use their experience on your
behalf. Before you move forward, ask your agent these important
questions.
Experience
How many years of experience do you have?
	# of homes you sold last year? All years?
What is the average price range you work with?
What services set you apart from competition?
Can you help with repairs, remodeling, updates?
What is your ratio of listings vs. buyers?
How many clients do you work with at one time?
Can you explain the team concept vs. a single agent?
Foresight
How can you help me understand what a home is worth?
How can you determine the total days on market?
What resources do you have available to help
me prepare for the move, updates, etc.?
Are you available full time, or do you have another job?
Do you have a standard protocol for house hunting?
Other Questions
Why should I hire you over other agents?
Can we call or email your last 10 to 20 clients for questions?
What is your communication style to keep
clients constantly informed?
What do I need to prepare... Loan info,
insurance shopping, inspections, etc.?

Work Background - This is my 16th year in Real Estate. What makes me
a bit different is simple... I can show clients the cost and possibilities of
upgrading or changing a home to make it profitable in the future. I will
use my building and remodeling background throughout every aspect
of your Real Estate process. Not only did I grow up in the building and
development business, I also spent over ten years as the CEO of a residential remodeling and
building corporation and the last 20+ years helping my clients manage their own projects
(finished basements, kitchens, baths, and room additions). Foresight is crucial when buying
and selling a home. Are there issues that can be addressed now which will challenge a
future sale of the property – perhaps the lot configuration, traffic acoustics, flow of kitchen
and living spaces, etc. I grew up in Shawnee, have spent my entire life in the KC Metro and
I take great pride in being a part of its recent explosion and development. I have a six year
old son and live to share all of the great moments with him. I am also a cancer survivor, after
a journey with esophageal cancer in 2011 and 12. I received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Human Resource Management from Kansas State University. We are always evolving as
individuals and learning is very important to me. I am very straightforward and will always
let you know my thoughts about a particular home or situation. Our job is to keep you
from making mistakes, not pushing you into a home quickly. I’m a realtor for one simple
reason…I love everything about homes and people.
Lori Johnson
I have been in real estate for over ten years. My experience covers
working with first time home buyers, move up clients and listing
homes for sale as well as specialized transactions such as foreclosures,
and new construction. I am originally from Iowa and moved to the
Kansas City area over 14 years ago. I have two children and feel the
Kansas City area is a great place to raise a family. My family has always
been in the real estate industry, with both a sister and mother who
also sold real estate as well as a father who was a Builder and built
single family homes for many years. I believe that through honesty and compassion as well
as the skills I have learned through my life from knowledge of construction and real estate to
how to make the home buying and selling process enjoyable, I am able to assist my clients
and persevere in helping my clients with all of their real estate needs.
Jesse Blacklaw
I began my career as a Realtor in January 2004 in Springfield, Missouri
and moved to the Kansas City area in 2008. Since then I have fallen in
love with KC and am proud to call it home. I am licensed in both Kansas
and Missouri, and am a member of the Kansas City Regional Association
of Realtors. I am a very driven, goal oriented person. I work hard to get
the job done. I sell listings fast and efficiently, and help buyers find the
one without being pushy. I pride myself on honesty and integrity. I enjoy a challenge and
work best when under pressure. I am not afraid to ask for help when I need it, and to stand
up for what I believe in. I love helping families like mine find a place to call home.
MEET THE TEAM
Rachael Staude
My career in customer service began in 2002 as a Sales Manager
with Marriott. It was not long before I was introduced into the real
estate industry. I worked in the Title business for 4 years. Learning a
lot about the Kansas City market, lending, and title closings helped
move me in the direction to get my real estate license. Starting in real
estate I thought it would help to offer property management and
leasing expertise to my clientele. In 2011 I opened Grand Property
Management KC, LLC where I operated a full service property management company
along with real estate services. I now focus more on helping buyers and sellers find and
sell there home. It is my goal to make sure everyone I work with has a great understanding
of what happens during a purchase or sale, throughout the entire transaction. Born in
Osage Beach, MO our family moved to Kansas City in 1988. I grew up in the northland and
graduated from North Kansas City High school. I attended Missouri State University and
graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Now, when
I am not working I love to spend time with my family and friends. Some people say I
am 100% a“people person”. I am very social and love meeting new people. I think this is
one reason why real estate is a great fit for my career. I am always honest, which I believe
is important on all levels of life. I enjoy great weather, eating at good restaurants and
spending time with good people. A positive attitude is something I always try to keep and
I believe it is contagious, so if we meet be prepared for a smile and a good talk.
Wendynn Orlando
Prior to serving the needs of home buyers and sellers, I spent 17
years in the service industry, owning and running multiple bars and
restaurants. My goal at the end of each day remains the same- to help
my clients make informed choices that make their lives happier. I grew
up in the greater Kansas City area and really appreciate the family
values the midwest brings. I truly understand and appreciate what
a neighborhood means to a family, and helping my clients find that
perfect community to raise their family is my top priority. I am an honest
and compassionate person who truly sees my clients as an extended part of my family. I am
very outgoing hard working person who loves to meet new people and give 100% to make
sure my clients get the best experience possible.

IN THE NEWS
Damon Earnshaw at Reece & Nichols Realtors want
their clients to be well-educated about the buying
and selling process.
“Ready aim, aim, aim then fire” is the phrase you hear most coming from
Damon Earnshaw of the Earnshaw & Co. team of Reece & Nichols Realtors. He
takes a measured approach to buying or selling homes for his clients. He used
this same approach in surviving a diagnosis last year of esophageal cancer.
“Instead of a ‘ready, aim, fire’ approach, I use a ‘ready, aim, aim, aim, then
fire’approach,”he explained.
He never understood why so many people just jump into major life
decisions after doing minimal research. After finding out he had approximately
a 5 percent survival rate within the next three years, he went into survival mode
and used his own advice: study, study, study and then make the decision.
At the time of the diagnosis, Earnshaw not only had to consider his future
but that if his 5-year son and his wife. Earnshaw also knew his diagnosis was
creating a new family medical history that may impact his son.
“In the real estate world, we typically meet clients ahead of time to
educate them on the entire process,” Earnshaw said. “That education includes
negotiations, projected appreciation, inspections, lenders, comparables,
insurance, home warranty, renovations, web search, neighborhoods,
foundations, roofs, maintenance, utility costs, traffic acoustics, homes
associations and much more. Equally important, we let them know the
common hurdles that can arise in a real estate transaction. Managing
expectations from the start allows the client to minimize the emotional stress
when something doesn’t go exactly as planned.”
This analytical approach has allowed his team of five Realtors to sell more
than 3,000 homes in 14 years, an average of 214 homes a year.
Earnshaw said it is imperative to establish the initial relationship with the
client.
“Our first meeting provides an opportunity for clients to interview us, so
we can earn the right to help them buy or sell a home. I want them to know me
and my team so that they will trust us later on,”he said.
After this first interview, Earnshaw’s team determines the clients’ basic
needs as they relate to price, neighborhood and school districts, and number
of bedrooms and bathrooms. In addition, they discover those preferences that
really become “needs” in any home search, such as garage spaces, age, lot,
renovations, kitchen style and the distance to shopping, parks, schools and
Earnshaw & Co.
Real estate, cancer and purpose
work. Earnshaw likes to mention circumference and being self-aware of your
surroundings.
“I can generally get a good snapshot of the comps with Google Earth or
Zillow,”he said.
Earnshaw’s approach over his 14 years as a top real estate professional
agent grew from a family background in the business.
“I was, in no uncertain terms, born into the residential real estate,
construction and development business, so it isn’t just my chosen career, it is
very much an integral part of who I am,”Earnshaw said.“This has allowed me to
provide my clients a long-term vision of their real estate needs.
“Initially, we view a prospective home to determine if it is that perfect
place to accommodate your current lifestyle,” Earnshaw continued. “That
is where the service to most clients stop. However, I also take the time with
my clients to inject foresight into the transaction in order to project that time
when the client may be selling this property.”
In 2011, when Earnshaw was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, he used
the tools he acquired in his real estate business to help him fight the disease.
“Any type of cancer diagnosis radically alters the perceptions and
paradigms of your life,” Earnshaw said. “You start working with a pragmatic
medical mindset.”
Throughout his treatment, Earnshaw refused to succumb to a pessimistic
outlook.
“You must educate yourself on what is happening to you, otherwise you
are giving up all the power in the decision-making process on how to best
treat your own body,”he said.“I ended up hiring four research assistants in one
week.”
The research provided by those assistants guided him in selecting a
doctor, hospital and treatment plan. He then traveled all over the country
getting nine opinions in fewer than 30 days. He also received advice from local
physicians who are his friends and clients.
“I really just decided I wasn’t going to blindly accept the first diagnosis or
treatment plan a doctor gave me,”Earsnhaw said.
Earnshaw sees the parallels in other life decisions.
“People may not think of a home purchase in the same light as a cancer
diagnosis, but it’s still a significant life and financial decision,”he explained.
Earnshaw believes the same degree of research and initial skepticism
should also be adopted by his clients.
“I want my clients to be educated, I want them to question what a Realtor
tells them and I want them to feel empowered in the process so we are partners
in accomplishing their goals,”he said.
He has created the website www.MeVsCancer.com to assist others who
have been diagnosed with cancer.
“With the website, my goal is to better centralize all the information any
cancer patient seeks when confronted with this challenge,”Earnshaw said.
Earnshaw is building the website so that cancer patients can streamline
their research, which will give them more time with family and less time
surfing the web.
“My friends and clients know that I really take it to another level when
researching anything and hopefully I can use this passion of mine to aid them
in their lives as well, whether that is beating cancer, helping them in real estate
or anything else,”he said.
Earnshaw is doing great now and is said to be cancer free. He had lots
of help locally as he traveled for medical consultations. He wanted to say a
very big “thank you” to his local physicians, many of whom are past clients he
was lucky enough to work with when they were residents. Without their help,
Earnshaw truly believes he would not be around today to tell his story.
Those physicians include Vincent Narciso, Aakash Shah, Randall Newth,
James McIntosh, Abha Shah, Katie Cundiff, Krissy Freyaldenhoven, Clint
Humphrey, Joe Ursick, Gerald Manuso, Syed Jafri, Christian McEihinney, Greg
Muehlebach and Joe Cates.
Homebuyers or sellers who want to schedule an initial meeting with
the Earnshaw & Co. team may call contact Earnshaw at 913-915-7610 for an
appointment at a time that is convenient for them.

Jesse
Jesse is an amazing Realtor. She went above and beyond to help my family find that perfect home. Jesse was
so great and I would totally use her again as a Realtor, as well as recommend her to anyone. My family not only
ended up with the home we wanted but were able to buy our home for the price we wanted. We ended up with a
life long friend as an added bonus. I truly hope anyone in need of a Realtor gives Jesse a shot. She will show you
just how wonderful the home buying or selling process can be and all the while making a great friend you can
always count on before and after her job for you is done!—Richard and Stacy Vasquez
In an industry that can leave you feeling alone and helpless, Jesse was a breath of fresh air. She seemed to
anticipate our every question and was prepared with an answer. I never once got the feeling that we were an
imposition because we called with a problem. Jesse always treated us like old friends. She has such a sweet, down
to earth disposition we felt Jesse truly had our interests at heart. She made that buying experience the best we
have ever had. She will do the same for you as you look to purchase your next home together. —Bill and Norma
Evans
We found Jesse to be an ideal Realtor. Her assets include a solid core of ethics, friendly and down to earth
manner, very knowledgeable in real estate, ready and willing to work at the other person’s convenience, fantastic
photography showing the house and totally professional in all aspects of the buying and selling process. We
would recommend her to all our friends and neighbors.—Tom and Shirley Beckley
I would like to comment that over the course of purchasing & selling four homes over a period of approximately
26 years that Jesse was the“best”realtor that I have experienced; I would absolutely concur with the description
she provides relating to her background,“words”are easily presented in such a context, but to live up to them is no
small feat, in my experience she was everything that she describes, and that pretty much says it all if your goal is to
have the best realtor working for you…!!!—Ron Getty
Damon
It came to be that Damon was the realtor for the 2010 sale of our house because we were unfortunate enough
to find ourselves pitted against him when we first bought the place in 2005. When we were buying and Damon
was representing the sellers and it didn’t take us very long to draw the conclusion that this guy knew what he
was doing. So late in the winter of 2010 when I learned that I was being relocated by my company we gave him
a call. We were in the worst housing market in years, it was the worst season of the worst year, and we had a very
tight timeline. Damon took us from“here is what you need to do to sell this place”to a post-closing hand shake
at a price that made us happy in around 60 days. Average days on the market for my neighborhood at the time
was well over 100. To me, Damon had two very clear strengths that made our transaction a success. 1) He knew
precisely what we needed to spend money on to make the place show optimally and he threw his skin and his
people in the game when it came time to get it done and remain in budget 2) He knew the market exceptionally
well( as it related to price point) and he knew very well how to operate a marketing strategy within the confines
of the MLS. Once you have made your house market-worthy (and picture-worthy) and it is listed on MLS (and the
dozens of other sites that pull from it) the whole process of selling boils down to the strategy with which you make
price drops and the manner in which you respond to interested parties. Damon is well regarded in the realtor
community and KNOWS how to play this game better than anyone else. My wife and I wanted to hyper-analyze
every component of feedback and potential buyer intel we captured. Damon’s message every time was“relax, and
let me handle this” and“Here are the reasons these aren’t your real buyers.” I will not say it wasn’t stressful because
but it is nice to know that you’ve got the right guy at the wheel when everything feels so far out of your control.
If your house can be sold, this is the guy that can do it. It is also worthy of note that after we had the offer, do to
the fact that we were on a corporate relocation, the process is a little different than a normal close and requires
probably greater than normal effort. Damon, is a relo expert and knew exactly how to navigate this landscape
and closed our sale without issue. - Quentin & Kat Marsh

Lori Johnson has been an incredible agent for us. Our house selling and buying had unusual circumstances and
she went above and beyond what was required of her. Not only did she go out of her way to make sure that
everything ran as smooth as possible, she did so with patience and graciousness. We are extremely grateful for
having had the pleasure to work with her.—Greg and Lori Schreiner

When I decided to start the home search process I did a little research online and came across the Earnshaw group.
After reading all the reviews there was no questions as to what team of agents I wanted on my side through
this process. I meet with Wendy Orlando, part of the Earnshaw group a few days after contacting them and

importance of first buyer gutters and not only calmed them but also educated me in a way that I could understand
what was going on currently and what was to come in the next few days. She followed up on every angel possible
with me, other agents, inspectors, my lender(s), and anyone else who was involved. If I had a question or concern I
would always get a response that day … even when she was on vacation.
The integrity, knowledge, and kindness Wendy demonstrated made the process for me as simple as possible. If
I had to explain Wendy as my agent in 3 words they would be detailed, dependable and proficient. Wendy, as a
person would be supportive, patient and dedicated. I can not thank Wendy enough for ensuring the best outcome
for me, as a first time home buyer. The entire process for me from start to finish once I found the home to make
my own was just about 30 days all due to Wendy’s expertise in the field. She more than exceeded my expectations.

TRIPLES THE SERVICE EDUCATE When it comes to one of the largest ticket items in your life, knowledge is a must. It is very important that you understand all avenues of Real Estate; negotiating, comparables, inspections, lenders, warranties, insurance, appraisals, title, unforeseen costs, home associations, remodeling, upkeep and more. We pride ourselves on the amount of time spent helping our clients become thoroughly informed. TEAM SUPPORT With everything involved in a Real Estate transaction, we believe that having a team of professionals is much more effective than just one agent on call. When you choose Earnshaw & Company you are getting a minimum of three for the price of one. Each transaction is assigned two agents and one administrator to make sure you, the client, are fully covered with extraordinary service. Our reputation is everything and giving you great service is what we do. Just ask our past clients. WHENEVER / WHEREVER We at Earnshaw & Company believe there are many attributes that set us apart from the competition. Our clients enjoy many advantages throughout their Real Estate experience with us. Whenever/wherever is not just a saying to us. We will find a way to get it done - from house cleaners and handymen to landscapers, staging, boxes, etc. CANCEL AT ANY TIME We are so confident in our extraordinary service that we have attached a “cancel at any time” addendum to all of our buyer and/or listing contracts. If, at any time, you are dissatisfied with our service for any reason, you can fax or email us a cancellation. We will release any client from a buyer and/or listing contract. Contracts are only as good as the people standing behind them. We want you to be happy, even if that means you choosing another agent. ASK YOUR AGENT Make an Informed Decision Buying a home can be intimidating. It’s important to find an agent who will work closely with you and use their experience on your behalf. Before you move forward, ask your agent these important questions. Experience How many years of experience do you have? # of homes you sold last year? All years? What is the average price range you work with? What services set you apart from competition? Can you help with repairs, remodeling, updates? What is your ratio of listings vs. buyers? How many clients do you work with at one time? Can you explain the team concept vs. a single agent? Foresight How can you help me understand what a home is worth? How can you determine the total days on market? What resources do you have available to help me prepare for the move, updates, etc.? Are you available full time, or do you have another job? Do you have a standard protocol for house hunting? Other Questions Why should I hire you over other agents? Can we call or email your last 10 to 20 clients for questions? What is your communication style to keep clients constantly informed? What do I need to prepare... Loan info, insurance shopping, inspections, etc.?

  • 4. Over 3,500 Homes Sold since 1998 - KS & MO 3 Damon Earnshaw Work Background - This is my 16th year in Real Estate. What makes me a bit different is simple... I can show clients the cost and possibilities of upgrading or changing a home to make it profitable in the future. I will use my building and remodeling background throughout every aspect of your Real Estate process. Not only did I grow up in the building and development business, I also spent over ten years as the CEO of a residential remodeling and building corporation and the last 20+ years helping my clients manage their own projects (finished basements, kitchens, baths, and room additions). Foresight is crucial when buying and selling a home. Are there issues that can be addressed now which will challenge a future sale of the property – perhaps the lot configuration, traffic acoustics, flow of kitchen and living spaces, etc. I grew up in Shawnee, have spent my entire life in the KC Metro and I take great pride in being a part of its recent explosion and development. I have a six year old son and live to share all of the great moments with him. I am also a cancer survivor, after a journey with esophageal cancer in 2011 and 12. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Kansas State University. We are always evolving as individuals and learning is very important to me. I am very straightforward and will always let you know my thoughts about a particular home or situation. Our job is to keep you from making mistakes, not pushing you into a home quickly. I’m a realtor for one simple reason…I love everything about homes and people. Lori Johnson I have been in real estate for over ten years. My experience covers working with first time home buyers, move up clients and listing homes for sale as well as specialized transactions such as foreclosures, and new construction. I am originally from Iowa and moved to the Kansas City area over 14 years ago. I have two children and feel the Kansas City area is a great place to raise a family. My family has always been in the real estate industry, with both a sister and mother who also sold real estate as well as a father who was a Builder and built single family homes for many years. I believe that through honesty and compassion as well as the skills I have learned through my life from knowledge of construction and real estate to how to make the home buying and selling process enjoyable, I am able to assist my clients and persevere in helping my clients with all of their real estate needs. Jesse Blacklaw I began my career as a Realtor in January 2004 in Springfield, Missouri and moved to the Kansas City area in 2008. Since then I have fallen in love with KC and am proud to call it home. I am licensed in both Kansas and Missouri, and am a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. I am a very driven, goal oriented person. I work hard to get the job done. I sell listings fast and efficiently, and help buyers find the one without being pushy. I pride myself on honesty and integrity. I enjoy a challenge and work best when under pressure. I am not afraid to ask for help when I need it, and to stand up for what I believe in. I love helping families like mine find a place to call home. MEET THE TEAM Rachael Staude My career in customer service began in 2002 as a Sales Manager with Marriott. It was not long before I was introduced into the real estate industry. I worked in the Title business for 4 years. Learning a lot about the Kansas City market, lending, and title closings helped move me in the direction to get my real estate license. Starting in real estate I thought it would help to offer property management and leasing expertise to my clientele. In 2011 I opened Grand Property Management KC, LLC where I operated a full service property management company along with real estate services. I now focus more on helping buyers and sellers find and sell there home. It is my goal to make sure everyone I work with has a great understanding of what happens during a purchase or sale, throughout the entire transaction. Born in Osage Beach, MO our family moved to Kansas City in 1988. I grew up in the northland and graduated from North Kansas City High school. I attended Missouri State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Now, when I am not working I love to spend time with my family and friends. Some people say I am 100% a“people person”. I am very social and love meeting new people. I think this is one reason why real estate is a great fit for my career. I am always honest, which I believe is important on all levels of life. I enjoy great weather, eating at good restaurants and spending time with good people. A positive attitude is something I always try to keep and I believe it is contagious, so if we meet be prepared for a smile and a good talk. Wendynn Orlando Prior to serving the needs of home buyers and sellers, I spent 17 years in the service industry, owning and running multiple bars and restaurants. My goal at the end of each day remains the same- to help my clients make informed choices that make their lives happier. I grew up in the greater Kansas City area and really appreciate the family values the midwest brings. I truly understand and appreciate what a neighborhood means to a family, and helping my clients find that perfect community to raise their family is my top priority. I am an honest and compassionate person who truly sees my clients as an extended part of my family. I am very outgoing hard working person who loves to meet new people and give 100% to make sure my clients get the best experience possible.
  • 5. Over 3,500 Homes Sold since 1998 - KS & MO 4 IN THE NEWS Damon Earnshaw at Reece & Nichols Realtors want their clients to be well-educated about the buying and selling process. “Ready aim, aim, aim then fire” is the phrase you hear most coming from Damon Earnshaw of the Earnshaw & Co. team of Reece & Nichols Realtors. He takes a measured approach to buying or selling homes for his clients. He used this same approach in surviving a diagnosis last year of esophageal cancer. “Instead of a ‘ready, aim, fire’ approach, I use a ‘ready, aim, aim, aim, then fire’approach,”he explained. He never understood why so many people just jump into major life decisions after doing minimal research. After finding out he had approximately a 5 percent survival rate within the next three years, he went into survival mode and used his own advice: study, study, study and then make the decision. At the time of the diagnosis, Earnshaw not only had to consider his future but that if his 5-year son and his wife. Earnshaw also knew his diagnosis was creating a new family medical history that may impact his son. “In the real estate world, we typically meet clients ahead of time to educate them on the entire process,” Earnshaw said. “That education includes negotiations, projected appreciation, inspections, lenders, comparables, insurance, home warranty, renovations, web search, neighborhoods, foundations, roofs, maintenance, utility costs, traffic acoustics, homes associations and much more. Equally important, we let them know the common hurdles that can arise in a real estate transaction. Managing expectations from the start allows the client to minimize the emotional stress when something doesn’t go exactly as planned.” This analytical approach has allowed his team of five Realtors to sell more than 3,000 homes in 14 years, an average of 214 homes a year. Earnshaw said it is imperative to establish the initial relationship with the client. “Our first meeting provides an opportunity for clients to interview us, so we can earn the right to help them buy or sell a home. I want them to know me and my team so that they will trust us later on,”he said. After this first interview, Earnshaw’s team determines the clients’ basic needs as they relate to price, neighborhood and school districts, and number of bedrooms and bathrooms. In addition, they discover those preferences that really become “needs” in any home search, such as garage spaces, age, lot, renovations, kitchen style and the distance to shopping, parks, schools and Earnshaw & Co. Real estate, cancer and purpose work. Earnshaw likes to mention circumference and being self-aware of your surroundings. “I can generally get a good snapshot of the comps with Google Earth or Zillow,”he said. Earnshaw’s approach over his 14 years as a top real estate professional agent grew from a family background in the business. “I was, in no uncertain terms, born into the residential real estate, construction and development business, so it isn’t just my chosen career, it is very much an integral part of who I am,”Earnshaw said.“This has allowed me to provide my clients a long-term vision of their real estate needs. “Initially, we view a prospective home to determine if it is that perfect place to accommodate your current lifestyle,” Earnshaw continued. “That is where the service to most clients stop. However, I also take the time with my clients to inject foresight into the transaction in order to project that time when the client may be selling this property.” In 2011, when Earnshaw was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, he used the tools he acquired in his real estate business to help him fight the disease. “Any type of cancer diagnosis radically alters the perceptions and paradigms of your life,” Earnshaw said. “You start working with a pragmatic medical mindset.” Throughout his treatment, Earnshaw refused to succumb to a pessimistic outlook. “You must educate yourself on what is happening to you, otherwise you are giving up all the power in the decision-making process on how to best treat your own body,”he said.“I ended up hiring four research assistants in one week.” The research provided by those assistants guided him in selecting a doctor, hospital and treatment plan. He then traveled all over the country getting nine opinions in fewer than 30 days. He also received advice from local physicians who are his friends and clients. “I really just decided I wasn’t going to blindly accept the first diagnosis or treatment plan a doctor gave me,”Earsnhaw said. Earnshaw sees the parallels in other life decisions. “People may not think of a home purchase in the same light as a cancer diagnosis, but it’s still a significant life and financial decision,”he explained. Earnshaw believes the same degree of research and initial skepticism should also be adopted by his clients. “I want my clients to be educated, I want them to question what a Realtor tells them and I want them to feel empowered in the process so we are partners in accomplishing their goals,”he said. He has created the website www.MeVsCancer.com to assist others who have been diagnosed with cancer. “With the website, my goal is to better centralize all the information any cancer patient seeks when confronted with this challenge,”Earnshaw said. Earnshaw is building the website so that cancer patients can streamline their research, which will give them more time with family and less time surfing the web. “My friends and clients know that I really take it to another level when researching anything and hopefully I can use this passion of mine to aid them in their lives as well, whether that is beating cancer, helping them in real estate or anything else,”he said. Earnshaw is doing great now and is said to be cancer free. He had lots of help locally as he traveled for medical consultations. He wanted to say a very big “thank you” to his local physicians, many of whom are past clients he was lucky enough to work with when they were residents. Without their help, Earnshaw truly believes he would not be around today to tell his story. Those physicians include Vincent Narciso, Aakash Shah, Randall Newth, James McIntosh, Abha Shah, Katie Cundiff, Krissy Freyaldenhoven, Clint Humphrey, Joe Ursick, Gerald Manuso, Syed Jafri, Christian McEihinney, Greg Muehlebach and Joe Cates. • 6. Over 3,500 Homes Sold since 1998 - KS & MO 5 Jesse Jesse is an amazing Realtor. She went above and beyond to help my family find that perfect home. Jesse was so great and I would totally use her again as a Realtor, as well as recommend her to anyone. My family not only ended up with the home we wanted but were able to buy our home for the price we wanted. We ended up with a life long friend as an added bonus. I truly hope anyone in need of a Realtor gives Jesse a shot. She will show you just how wonderful the home buying or selling process can be and all the while making a great friend you can always count on before and after her job for you is done!—Richard and Stacy Vasquez In an industry that can leave you feeling alone and helpless, Jesse was a breath of fresh air. She seemed to anticipate our every question and was prepared with an answer. I never once got the feeling that we were an imposition because we called with a problem. Jesse always treated us like old friends. She has such a sweet, down to earth disposition we felt Jesse truly had our interests at heart. She made that buying experience the best we have ever had. She will do the same for you as you look to purchase your next home together. —Bill and Norma Evans We found Jesse to be an ideal Realtor. Her assets include a solid core of ethics, friendly and down to earth manner, very knowledgeable in real estate, ready and willing to work at the other person’s convenience, fantastic photography showing the house and totally professional in all aspects of the buying and selling process. We would recommend her to all our friends and neighbors.—Tom and Shirley Beckley I would like to comment that over the course of purchasing & selling four homes over a period of approximately 26 years that Jesse was the“best”realtor that I have experienced; I would absolutely concur with the description she provides relating to her background,“words”are easily presented in such a context, but to live up to them is no small feat, in my experience she was everything that she describes, and that pretty much says it all if your goal is to have the best realtor working for you…!!!—Ron Getty Damon It came to be that Damon was the realtor for the 2010 sale of our house because we were unfortunate enough to find ourselves pitted against him when we first bought the place in 2005. When we were buying and Damon was representing the sellers and it didn’t take us very long to draw the conclusion that this guy knew what he was doing. So late in the winter of 2010 when I learned that I was being relocated by my company we gave him a call. We were in the worst housing market in years, it was the worst season of the worst year, and we had a very tight timeline. Damon took us from“here is what you need to do to sell this place”to a post-closing hand shake at a price that made us happy in around 60 days. Average days on the market for my neighborhood at the time was well over 100. To me, Damon had two very clear strengths that made our transaction a success. 1) He knew precisely what we needed to spend money on to make the place show optimally and he threw his skin and his people in the game when it came time to get it done and remain in budget 2) He knew the market exceptionally well( as it related to price point) and he knew very well how to operate a marketing strategy within the confines of the MLS. Once you have made your house market-worthy (and picture-worthy) and it is listed on MLS (and the dozens of other sites that pull from it) the whole process of selling boils down to the strategy with which you make price drops and the manner in which you respond to interested parties. Damon is well regarded in the realtor community and KNOWS how to play this game better than anyone else. My wife and I wanted to hyper-analyze every component of feedback and potential buyer intel we captured. Damon’s message every time was“relax, and let me handle this” and“Here are the reasons these aren’t your real buyers.” I will not say it wasn’t stressful because but it is nice to know that you’ve got the right guy at the wheel when everything feels so far out of your control. If your house can be sold, this is the guy that can do it. It is also worthy of note that after we had the offer, do to the fact that we were on a corporate relocation, the process is a little different than a normal close and requires probably greater than normal effort. Damon, is a relo expert and knew exactly how to navigate this landscape and closed our sale without issue. - Quentin & Kat Marsh HUNDREDS OF TESTIMONIALS We worked with Rachael in the purchase of investment property. After reading all the reviews there was no questions as to what team of agents I wanted on my side through this process. I meet with Wendy Orlando, part of the Earnshaw group a few days after contacting them and immediately felt comfortable and safe with the idea of her bring my agent. From day 1 Wendy’s commitment and heart made me feel as much of a friend as her client. Being that this would be my first home and I had hundreds of questions and concerns. Wendy understood the importance of first buyer gutters and not only calmed them but also educated me in a way that I could understand what was going on currently and what was to come in the next few days. She followed up on every angel possible with me, other agents, inspectors, my lender(s), and anyone else who was involved. If I had a question or concern I would always get a response that day … even when she was on vacation. The integrity, knowledge, and kindness Wendy demonstrated made the process for me as simple as possible.
