5. Rice, Perfect for Lunch, As Well As Getting Rid of Shoe Bites
The rice will dry up the wound and help it heal
faster.
Step 1: Take half a cup of rice and grind it to a fine
powder.
Step 2: Add a little water to make a paste. Apply
this paste on the shoe bites.
Step 3: Let it dry and wash it off with lukewarm
water.
This home remedy is simple and extremely
effective.
6. Turmeric and Neem – Grandma’s Solution to Every Problem
This remedy will give you relief from a painful shoe
bite and will also dry up the blister.
Step 1: Take a handful of fresh neem leaves and a
tablespoon of turmeric powder.
Step 2: Add a few drops of glycerin and grind the
mixture with the help of little water.
This will help dry up the wound faster.
7. The Elixir Called Honey
Raw honey is known to do wonders when applied over
shoe bite scars. It not only soothes the tenderness of a new
scar but also helps it fade.
Step 1: Take a teaspoon of raw honey.
Step 2: You can add sesame oil with honey and apply if
the area feels too dry.
Win-win situation!
8. Dab On Some Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is always a good idea for its soothing benefits!
Applying fresh aloe vera juice (all you need to do is
break a little stem) over the shoe bites that burn helps
pacify the pain.
It also helps the scars fade much faster.
You can also use an aloe-vera based body cream for the
same purpose.
9. Camphor and Coconut Oil – If the Shoe Bite Is Really Serious
Clean the shoe bite of any blood or pus and pat it
dry.
Step 1: Mix a small quantity of camphor in a few
drops of coconut oil.
Step 2: Apply gently on the shoe bite.
After a few applications, those painful shoe bites
will heal and almost even disappear.
10. All the remedies need to be tried at least 2-3 times a week for them to show effect.
Stop wearing the shoes that cause them! Do not wear them until the wound heals completely,
otherwise the bite is prone to get even more painful.
Leave the wound open. Wear light and airy footwear like flip-flops until it heals.
If you don’t want to go with a home remedy, apply an antiseptic cream or lotion to the wound.
Neosporin power (available at any chemist), Soframycin cream and Lacto Calamine lotion are
all good options.
Do not keep shoe bites covered with a bandage all the time as that will slow down the healing
process. Try waterproof bandages when you absolutely need to.
Stay away from water- Make sure you avoid getting the wound wet, especially in dirty water as
it may get infected. When you go for a shower, temporarily cover the shoe bite with a
waterproof band-aid and dry the wound immediately in case it gets wet.
