5. Water, water, water
You’ve heard this one a million times, but
it’s so important that we are going to say it
again anyway: drink at least 2 bottles of
water a day to flush out toxins and keep
yourself hydrated.
6. Stay away from processed foods as much as possible.
Stick to homemade food.
Less saturated fats, less preservatives, less
everything.
Besides, you’ll miss this a lot once you leave home
post wedding, so make the most of it while you can!

7. Just follow this simple food philosophy: eat small
meals at frequent intervals regularly.
One of the things you can use is a portion control
plate, which is an effective tool to change the way
you eat and monitor your food intake. (And, yeah,
it’s best if you pick a fresh fruit over a bar of
candy. It’s JUST as delicious.)

8. The reason for this is: your metabolic rate is at it’s highest in the
morning, and slows down a lot by the time you have dinner.
The earlier you eat, the greater chance your body has of digesting and
metabolizing everything.
Those calories that you use up during the day while you’re active – you
don’t want to give them a chance to idly settle around your hips while you
sleep, do you?

9. Instead of having aereated drinks (which I
still don’t get why people drink –
they’re disastrous for your body in every
possible way!), opt for freshly squeezed
juices, lassi, etc.
And don’t tell me you don’t like the taste –
when does a glass of fresh juice or cold
coffee not taste yummy?

10. These days even restaurants have healthy
eating options, so eating out is no longer an
excuse to get off-track from your health-
conscious regime.
For example, if you’re eating pizza, opt for
a wholewheat base.
Or choose wholewheat pita bread with
hummus instead of a naan slathered
with ghee.
