its should be inspected. In fact, the American society of home
inspectors recommends that a home be inspected every 10
years, regardless of whether a sale is taking place.

An inspector’s job is to tell the client the condition of the home
with facts. Using an inspector the realtor recommends could be
uncomfortable. This is understandable and why everyone should
do their own research to find a good home inspector.

A home inspection should never take the place of other prescribed
other orescribed inspections, and other inspections shouldn’t take
the place of the home inspection. Each inspection has it’s own
purpose.

Home inspections don’t report on every minor imperfection of a
home or guarantee that on repairs will be needed. It’s a visual
assessment of the condition of the major components of the home
not a forecast of every potential problem,

Negotiations on what needs to be fixed before closing are left to
the parties of the purchase agreement or their real estate experts.
However, the findings in the inspection may have a bearing on the
value of the property and may be useful in negotiating for repairs
to sub-standard components.
