• History of Russia counts many
years, and during that time has
accumulated a lot of holidays.
It is a long list, but the
favourite Russian holidays are
the New Year’s Day, Easter and
Victory Day.
New Year - perhaps
one of the holidays
that brings presents
to children and
groun-ups.
This holiday is
celebrated at the
night of the 31 of
December. A week
before the New Year
the family decorates
the flat. The main
part of it is the
Christmas tree!
Exactly at midnight on
all the TV channels
greetings from our
President are
transmitted, after that
the chiming clock
strikes 12 times and
people say .”Happy
New Year!”
• Children look forward
to presents from
Santa Claus, which
are put under the
Christmas tree.
• Easter is a religious
holiday.
• It is celebrated on the
first Saturday of April.
• People dye eggs,
bake Easter cakes
and go to the Church.
• Victory Day ... How
many deaths are
behind these words ...
The 9 of May fascist
Germany signed an
act of surrender.This
day was great for
everybody in Russia!
• On this day in Red
Square there is a
parade in the honour
of those who
defended our country.
• It’s a new holiday
and a day off in
Russia celebrated on
the 12 of June.
• On this day all the
people are walking
and having fun, at
midnight fireworks are
arranged.
Thanks for watching
• Well, that's it. This is only a small part of
