In the holidays, several students went on trips to places like Bali, Christchurch, and the farm. They saw movies like Ice Age 4, Brave, and 3D Ninja. They also attended parties and visited family. One student went kayaking and to Te Papa museum to see the Colossal Squid. Another student's tooth fell out and they put it in a tin.

Term 3 Week 1 2012

2. In the holidays I went all over the place. I went to
Chipmunks and I shot a gun. I went to Te Papa and I
saw the Colossal Squid. I went to a funeral, her name
was Ivy and she was 92. (Fergus)

3. In the holidays I went to Bali and it was really hot. I
needed suncream. There was 2 pools. I lived in a
hotel. I went kayaking and I had fun. (Marco)

4. I went to Christchurch and I watched Wall-E. We had fun
and we had fizzy lollies and yummy biscuits. Then we saw
Nana and Poppa and Grandma and Grandad and we had
so much Fun. (Harry)

5. On the last day of school we went to the farm. On
Sunday Mum bought us a toy. Ana bought a Dizzy
Dancer and Tay bought a Monster High like me. On
Saturday we went home. Dad took us to the pool. Tay
and I played Monster High. (Joseph)

6. I went to Ice Age 4 in the holidays. It was awesome as. I
went maybe on Monday. It was the coolest movie I have
ever seen. The lollies were Maltesers, they were yum.
The movie was in the mall. Ice Age 4 was really
fantastic. (Cameron)

7. I loved the log ride. I made a big splash. The dinosaur
roared. Me and Grandad and Nana had a good time. (Koby)

8. In the holidays we went to the movies. The movie was
called Brave. Before the movie we had Coca Cola and
lunch. After lunch we went to Uncle Matt’s work to drop
him back off. Then we went home. (Ethan)

9. I got the book Tuatara with Dad on Saturday. I got the DVD
and it is Zip and Mac. (Xavier)

10. I flew to Wanaka in the holidays with Mum, Jamie and
Emma. We went to Cardona. It was still black outside and I
said, “Is it morning already?” I saw lots of snow when I went
up the mountain. When I was at the top we couldn’t find a
carpark. I taught my sister how to ski. (Lucy Ph)

11. In the holidays I went to Darrin’s Mum and Dads. My Mum
did not go to Nana and Gramps. Dad drove and drove and
we pretended to drive. I said, “Are we almost there?” Jamila
and I saw Nana and Gramps and I felt happy. (Jasmine)

12. In the school holidays my tooth fell out. I wobbled it and
then I took out my tooth. My Nana got a tin and I put my
tooth in the tin. Then I put the tin in my room and went
back downstairs. (Aidan)

13. Me and Emma had lots of fun. It was my friend Emma’s
party. She had lots of presents. We had lots of food.

14. I went to my friends party. I had heaps of fun with Emma.
We played tag inside and it was actually called tag Oliver.
There was a castle with lots of pretty stuff. (Olivia)

15. In the holidays Mum had a birthday. She had a chocolate
cake and... she loved it. I love my Mum and she loves me
too. I felt happy. I got a light to light up the path. (Vita)

16. At dinner time we lit a candle and we ate and ate until our
bowls were empty. Then we had pudding. (Tessa)

17. In the holidays I watched 3D Ninja. I liked it. I watched
Spiderman too. There was lots of swinging. (Eason)
