Zile Hüseyin Gazi Ortaokulu Tokat/Turkey On the Track of Our Recent Past History of Computers in Turkey
COMPUTERS’ HISTORY IN TURKEY The first computer came to Turkey in 1960 and it was used in General Directorate of Highways. (IBM - 650 Data processing machine)
The second one was used in Istanbul Technical University in 1972. ( IBM 1620)
The third computer came to Middle East Technical University and the fourth one came to the State Planning Organization.
The first and only computer museum in Safranbolu
 A computer museum was founded in Safranbolu/Karabük/Turkey. People can witness the historical development of computers there.  Apple 2 is the oldest computer that is exhibited in the computer museum in Karabük/Turkey.
