 If you violate the HIPAA or Privacy Act
policies in any way, you will be punished to
the fullest extent.
 First violation: Warning
 Second violation: 2 week supension without pay
 Third violation:Termination
 Always make sure you lock your computer
when not in use.
 Make sure you shred all PII (Personal
Identification Information).
 Only access the patient’s information when it
pertains to your job.
