It lists the key features of KLAREX RG 223, 225, 227, 113, 315, 535, and 545 such as their ability to provide excellent dispersion and processing, high loading capacity, dimensional stability, and electrical resistivity. It also provides the typical measured properties of each product according to various ASTM testing standards.
Performance evaluation of nano graphite inclusions in cutting fluids with mql...eSAT Journals
Abstract Liberation of heat and generation of friction associated with any machining operation ever pose a problem which not only reduce the tool life but also impair quality of the product. Cutting fluids have been the conventional choice to curtail friction and temperatures in machining because of its lubrication and cooling actions. However, considering health hazards posed by the conventional cutting fluids to health of the workers and ecology, the quest is towards identifying alternative strategies to the usual flood application. Selection and use of proper lubricant that can improve the overall cutting phenomena which is an important aspect in reducing the cutting forces and temperatures The present work studies the use of nano cutting fluids in MQL which is a minimal cutting fluid technique, for turning operation using HSS and cemented carbide tools. Development of nano materials by nanotechnology technique, dispersing them in the cutting fluid improve the effectiveness of the cutting fluid and hence nano graphite powder is selected of particle size 80 nm in varying proportions i.e. 0.0%, 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5% by weight are mixed in water soluble oil and applied drop by drop. Experimentation is carried out at different flow rates like 5 ml/min 10 ml/min and 15 ml/min with nanoparticle suspended fluids along with dry machining, flood coolant machining under constant cutting conditions. Experimental results are very encouraging with much reduction in surface roughness, tool flank wear, temperatures and cutting forces is observed in fluids with nanoparticle inclusions. Different properties of the nanofluids are estimated through a series of standard tests. Keywords: Machining, nano Graphite, minimum quantity lubrication, cutting fluids.

Bi-axially oriented Poly polypropylene films JayaVerma28
This presentation is about Bi-axially oriented poly - polypropylene films, it describes about its properties, processing parameters, methods, industrial manufacturing, Applications, advantages, disadvantages and references are added at the end.
The presentation will cover an example of a medical part going through its full manufacturing life cycle. It will highlight challenges, such as matching the right machine (or machines) for the design. Proper collaboration up front between design engineers and the manufacturer will save both companies time and money throughout the product's lifecycle. Most companies are not aware how important this is and portray manufacturers as commodities, not partners.

LaserBond™ achieves a welded or metallurgical bond with minimal, precisely controlled heat input provided by an optimized laser beam. Temperature sensitive components and materials, such as hardened shafts, gears etc, can be repaired with minimal risk of distortion or other undesirable heat effects. The metallurgical bond allows LaserBond™ applied layers to be used in high impact, heavily loaded/stressed situations with no risk of spalling or separation of the overlay. The controlled energy minimizes the undesirable thermal decomposition of hard phases such as carbides, resulting in optimum wear resistance. Due to the extremely low dilution with the substrate, high specification materials can be applied in a thin layer with corrosion and wear resistant surfaces as thin as 0.3mm possible. Thick overlays for significant repairs of up to 20mm can also be applied in multiple passes. Heat affected zones are minimized and the stress related cracking inherent in welded or PTA applied hard facing is generally eliminated. Standard LaserBond™ overlay options include Tungsten Carbide, Stainless Steels, Nickel alloys such as Inconel, and Cobalt alloys such as Stellite1. Other materials can be applied on request.
The High Pressure High Velocity Oxy-Fuel process applies coating material at supersonic velocities, resulting in surfaces of the highest possible quality and performance.
HP HVOF coatings are very dense, very well bonded, and free of the oxides and tensile stresses typically found in coatings produced with other thermal spray processes. Consequently, they perform better in most service environments. HP HVOF wear resistant coatings are being adopted globally as an environmentally friendly, and technically superior, alternative to Chrome plating on components such as aircraft landing gear. Surfaces combining resistance to corrosion and wear are also routinely applied by HP HVOF. LaserBond™ approved HP HVOF coatings include Tungsten Carbide, Chrome Carbide, Nickel based alloys (e.g. Inconel 625 and 718), Cobalt alloys such as Stellite1, stainless steels and copper based alloys.

Increasing die life, reducing rejections by the use of japanese cold welding ...Srikar Shenoy
1. Die, mould and tool wear are major reasons for production downtime and increased costs in most industries. Apart from using suitable alloy steels for making dies, a few effective treatments like nitriding, PVD & CVD can be administered to increase die life. Such treatments are not feasible for all metal forming units. Carbide coating to protect only the wear-prone areas of dies using Japanese cold-welding technology is a practical and economical technique that has proven to increase die life. This technique, though similar to welding, does not need pre and post-weld heat treatment and skilled labour. The process does not emit smoke. It can also be carried out on the die or tool without unloading it from the casting press or such equipment, without need of a weld shop.
2. Die spray units are used to effectively spray lubricant on the dies. During the pressure die casting process, it is mandatory to keep die and plunger well lubricated. Die protective coating cum lubricant is used to achieve these objectives. Until recently, pressure feed tanks have been used to spray-lubricate dies. However, these conventional pressure-feed tanks are proving to be a hazard on the shop floor. Pressurised equipments on shop floor always pose a risk of explosion. They also cause production downtime during re-filling. Better alternatives are now available for dispensing die lubricants.

Simply put the main advantage of DuraGrit compared to cast steel grits is it lasts longer. Steel grit is a consumable product and the less you consume the less money you spend. If you consume large amounts of steel grit even a small percentage reduction can save you a lot of money. DuraGrit lasts up to 30% longer than traditional cast steel grits, the savings from this can be huge. DuraGrit is also a fast cutting abrasive. Conventional cast steel grit is manufactured by crushing cast steel shots into a grit form. Cast steel shot starts off round shaped and containing internal fractures. When crushed the resulting particles still contain some portion of the round outer shell and internal cracks. These flaws slow down the cutting speed of the grit. DuraGrit is crushed from forged high carbon chromium bearing steel. This stock material contains no internal cracks and is fully angular shaped.
Recommended for industrial applications where large bore valves handle hot steam or isolate parts of their plants and have high/low temperatures that prevent the use of rubber lining elements.
