High blood pressure (HBP) is common among senior citizens in the United States and is a serious condition that can significantly increase the probability of having coronary heart disease, a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, and other health problems and risks.
In literal terms, "blood pressure" is the force of blood pushing against arterial walls while the heart pumps out blood. A large force over a long period of time is called HBP and it can cause extensive damage to the body.
It is very important that senior citizens understand what their blood pressure means and how they can effectively prevent and, if necessary, treat HBP.
People who participate in the elder care of senior citizens should also be familiar with HBP and how they can encourage behaviors that facilitate healthy blood movement.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

High blood pressure treatment tipss
1. Remedies for High Pressure: How to Cure
Pressure High, Cures and Remedies
What is hypertension
Defined as hypertension, pressure high is the most common disease
cardiovascular.
Blood pressure is the intensity _ of the strength of the heart while pumps
blood _ against the walls of the arteries and gods vases sanguine .
Just as it happens when Yes inflates a rubber balloon , blood _ fills the
arteries up to a certain level . The presence of an excessive air pressure
can damage the rubber balloon and, at the same way, the high pressure
sanguine can create damage to the arteries, favoring events lethal Which
stroke or severe episodes cardiac.
2. The pressure high not yes manifest with gods symptoms ; it is necessary
take the measurement from the blood pressure to check for a possible
condition of hypertension .
When the pressure sanguine is defined high
When Yes suffer from high blood pressure the effects harmful on health
conditions, in general, tend to increase involving the vases blood, the
apparatus kidney and heart.
To prevent possible complications to these organs vital , it is important that
pressure _ sanguine registers values that are equal to or less than 120/80
mm. Hg.
The first value , 120 mm. Hg., Is the highest and corresponds at the
pressure systolic ; the second, on the other hand , 80 mm. Hg., The lowest
, indicates pressure diastolic .
If after having carried out activities physics Yes measure immediately the
pressure, most likely, this record values slightly higher than those normal;
but yes it would , however , deal with a situation that re-enters in norm from
the moment which is natural the increase and decrease from the blood
pressure in operation from the activities physics that he comes turning and
of state emotional . And it is also normal that the values from the blood
pressure _ vary from subject to subject.
If though this remains high, regardless of any situation’s objective, it is the
case to consult a doctor.
Arterial pressure is defined high when following _ from the measurement
Yes has a reading of the values equal to or greater than 130/80 mm. Hg.
At the presence of values such as 180 on 120 mm. Hg. or higher is
appropriate seek medical assistance immediately . _
Many people with pressure high not yes make I count on having it and
that's why reason that hypertension is called the silent killer precisely
because , though provoking severe damage to the organism , it happens
rarely that Yes present with gods symptoms .
3. If not treated in time, the pressure high is the cause of serious problems
such as :
Reduction of the visual field
Heart attacks _
Stroke
Insufficiency renal
Insufficiency cardiac
4. Hypertension and risk categories _
The pressure high is more likely that regards subjects that they have a
story family of hypertension and / or diseases heart disease and diabetes.
Then there are others categories of subjects at risk of hypertension:
Adults aged _ over 55 years old
Overweight and obese subjects _
Subjects with emotional stress
Subjects diabetics
Individuals with a lack of activity physics
Subjects that abuse alcohol and smoking _
States of hypertension Yes can to verify even in presence of the following
conditions :
Diet rich in salt
Administration of NSAID and decongestant drugs
5. Use of cocaine
It is possible in some cases identify the direct causes that determine
hypertension . Between these :
Illnesses kidney and glands adrenals
Use of pills contraceptives
State of pregnancy
The treatment of high blood pressure can to have different approaches ,
oriented in several and different directions that involve also , in many cases
, evident lifestyle changes . _
Between these , i more incisors , there are those related to dietary regimen
, medication intake and al carrying out activities physics .
Regimes dietary products to treat hypertension
In case the measurement from the pressure sanguine produce a reading
from which you detect values slightly higher than normal , the best therapy
possible consists in adopting a low - salt diet and in to practise activities
aerobics and exercises physical that encourage regular _ circulation of
blood flow and the consequent lowering from the pressure sanguine .
In this case the sodium has to to be limited , holding present that WHO (
Organization World from the Health ) advises not to exceed , as a dose, a
teaspoon a day . A low sodium diet allows a hypertensive person to reduce
blood pressure systolic from 2 to 8 mm. Hg.
dietary regimen calibrated and low in sodium is a precious ally also for the
drugs as it improves _ the effects thus favoring the lowering _ from the
pressure sanguine .
It is also possible completely eliminate the salt by replacing it with some
specifications herbs and avoiding consuming meat and canned foods _
Important take potassium and magnesium , in the form of supplements , as
substances that contribute for theirs composition to bring down the values
6. from the pressure sanguine , holding However present that in case of
insufficiency problems _ renal , potassium can not to be administered .
The DASH diet
Perfect for a diet correct and constructed on fit for i hypertension problems ,
the DASH diet allows you to lower your blood pressure systolic from 8 to 15
mm. Hg. thus facilitating the goal of normalizing _ the values from the blood
pressure .
DASH is the English acronym for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension
and is a diet whose effect beneficial is recognized wide _ worldwide .
dietary regimen that foresees the intake of 2000 calories per day eating low
- fat fruits , vegetables and dairy products .
If you are overweight , following the DASH diet will eliminate _ excess
weight, which is one of the more causes common hypertension .
In itself yes it is a diet extremely simple, that Yes can summarize in a few
points : To eat more low - fat fruits and vegetables and dairy products
Reduce drastically the consumption of foods that are high in fat and
cholesterol
To eat fish and chicken meat
Privilege foods integral
Limit the consumption of sodium, sweets, drinks sugars and meats red .
Education scientific they have established that in just two weeks , following
the DASH diet , i patients hypertensive they get lowering from the blood
pressure .
Here are a few tips to make still more efficient DASH diet :
For lunch and dinner always consume vegetables and fruit . Avoid canned
fruit as it _ _ contains sugar . _
Make use of beans and legumes buckets in general

So far as remedies such as following a low-salt and sodium diet and
practicing activities physics are not sufficient to succeed to lower the values
from the blood pressure , therapy pharmacological becomes inevitable .
If indeed , for long periods , pressure systolic registered _ values greater
than 130 mm. Hg. producing complications ai organs vital , for example to
the kidneys or retina , the intake of the medications becomes inevitable .
In this case Yes will avoid administering medicines based on principles
active Which beta - blockers or i diuretics in subjects diabetic or not being _
such , with high blood glucose values . The doctor, therefore , for this type
of patients will arrange a therapy drug based on a calcium antagonist and a

From the moment that drugs such as beta - blockers or i blockers of the
calcium channels slow down the frequency cardiac , it is appropriate ask
